First thing id spend about 5 mil on a higher DPS weapon with 100+ dex and socket. I'd look for a crossbow as your crit chance is decent enough for now.
After this the cheapest parts to upgrade and increase your AR would be shoulders, belt and pants. You only need to look for dex/vit/ar on those parts so they are a LOT cheaper than for example gloves, amulet and rings.

More AR and physical resist
only 41 dex less

Btw how are you switching your gear so fast? I Thought you can get banned if you use a macro like thatPosted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands

Only the ring is expensive. All the other parts are either 2-4 mil for bad versions or 10m (max) for decent versions. Its the extra 20-50 dex that increases the price. Still is worth it even if its only the 2 piece set (which does give a high DPS increase)Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands

Actually been using the same build with some tweaks depending if its a speed run or a kill all type of build.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
With kill all I usually replace vault with spike trap scatter as the dmg is just huge (with +6% spike trap dmg on the cloak). Also using Spray of Teeth instead of devouring and the heal prep instead of reduced cooldown. Natalya's hardly asks for prep to begin with while clearing so you might as well use a heal. In act 2 and lower I even use Fan of Knife just for fun
With a speed run the build is pretty much the same even though I still tend to take Spray of Teeth for some bizar reason.
Running with 80k DPS

Your dmg is so incredibly low that I would lose patients killing anything. Sorry but we are demon hunters... nice to see it works but geez..Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands

It's actually pretty hard to find a correct balance between offence and defence.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
I find myself sacrificing DPS for some more AR/Vit only to trade it off back at another time.
Starting from having 480-530 AR with 43k HP and 60k DPS
Switched to 480-530 AR with 32k HP and 71k DPS (2 piece natalya's)
Switched to 430-480 AR with 29k HP and 72k DPS (3 piece natalya's)
My concern now is to swap another -15 resist, -130vit and -130dex to get the natalya's boots. It would be a huge DPS/Health loss but I would gain the 2 disc/s
End result would be: 415-465 AR with 24k HP and 69k DPS
Right now I'm already feeling the huge loss of HP and AR (also the gained DPS though).. so I dont know if I would want to get the boots and be left over with even less.

If you want to be a tanky DH with loads of MF then you'd still have to pay the price. Getting AR/Vit/Dex/MF gear is going to be pretty expensivePosted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands

Your weapon is the biggest damage increase. You could get a 1100+ DPS bow/xbow with 100 dex and a open socket for Crit Dmg easily below 10mil. After that I'd upgrade the rings / amulet with crit chance/ Crit dmg and dex which will further increase your dmg by... a lot!Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands

I actually changed some items since I posted this thread which already convered some of the advice given.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
This is the screenshot of items I had a few days ago. http://i2.photobucke...-kun/gear-1.png
What changed afterwards was:
Amulet: Changed this for more dmg. Its a big 9k HP loss just to get more crit chance though *sad face*
6.0% crit chance
53% crit dmg
The problem im facing right now is that I cant seem to replace anything for SS
Caltops is just to nice while kiting
Gloom works great
Bat is needed for cluster arrow
hungering spray speaks for itself
and thats 6 skills already.... I see a lot of DH running without caltrops but I can't see how they're kiting without tactical advantage (where you HAVE to use SS otherwise you're still getting chased like mad)
P.S, Im not going for tanky but something in between ;-) Having around 500AR with 35k HP and still maintaining around 60k DPS without SS works pretty well. Can survive quite well and still dish out some dmg. Downside is upgrading gear though... You'd need to get items with loads of high roll stats which means very freaking expensive and im not having any luck with drops....
