Also...strafe does pretty much 0 damage and isn't effective at aoe. That pretty much buries the build by itself.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands

How can you claim that's a world record? There are infinite barbarians out there with WAY more dps than you. They just don't wank off by popping 50 cooldowns and recording videos so they can use some self-given title.Posted in: Looking For Group
Oh btw, I'm the world record holder of the world's fastest DH Azmodan kill without using a right ring or a 3rd gem in my chest. I didn't see any other videos of DH's faster than me without their right ring or 3rd chest gem equipped, so I must have the world record.

It's quite funny, but I still died 8 times on the first elite pack I came across in a3Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands

Posted in: Demon Hunter: The DreadlandsQuote from AnalogkidAgree with OP's second sentence. Until the patch is live it is subject to change.
Even if it's 150% over 3 seconds, it's still considerably better than the current version as it generates more crits. I'm happy either way ^^

I've played it in the budget gear. Survivability and mobility remains incredibly high, just takes longer to kill elites once you get to them.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands

By far the most significant change to DH in 1.0.4 is the buffing of Trail of Cinders to 1500% weapon damage over 3 seconds.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
I'm going to cross my fingers and hope that it is not a typo of 150%
I've been running Trail of Cinders for a while now, and found it to be much more effective than Tumble for my needs:
Keeping up a permanent Tactical Advantage buff when trash skipping, while also having leftover disc for Gloom when I bump into an elite pack.
I'm pretty damn excited about receiving a direct buff to the build I'm using, due to it being massively underplayed.
This build requires a tremendous amount of discipline regen, and the main generator of choice is Cluster Grenades combined with the Night Stalker passive. The grenades are also the most efficient way to keep a steady 100% hp while tanking elite packs. With my current gear/build I can peak out at 20 discipline regen per second while fighting multiple enemies. Full list of skills can be found on my armory page (of course it uses Trail over Tumble, I just use Tumble in group play).
You don't need anywhere near this level of gear to use this build, so don't worry. I will post both a budget version and a highlevel version of gear requirements. It does require 4 set Natalya's however, but even using the 1handed crossbow with high LoH should be fine.
4 Set Natalyas (With Crossbow if you can't afford ring)
1. All Resistance.
2. Life on Hit.
3. Critical Hit Chance.
4 Set Natalyas.
1. Crit Chance
2. Attackspeed/Critdamage (both equal in importance, use whichever has a higher stat weight per piece)
3. All Resistance
Life on hit is not an important factor, as your high dps combined with 100% Shadow Power uptime will make sure you stay at full hp, no matter how many elites you're tanking.
This is just a quick intro guide, I can write a much more detailed guide (if there is demand for it) including playstyle, benefits over other builds, and most importantly: How to abuse the environment around you to get maximum efficiency in the use of your Grenades (took me around 1 month to master). I will also be streaming this build in HQ in the near future.
Feel free to drop me any questions in the thread, and/or say if you want a full guide.

I don't necessarily agree about it being more expensive. Due to the fact that 99% of DH's use a 2hander, 1handers get extremely undervalued. I had 2 crossbows that got me around 5-8k less dps than these two for 10m and 3m. It's quite easy to find good underpriced deals on AH. I was extremely surprised to get a dps gain when switching from my 50m xbow + 20m quiver to a 13m dualwield.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands

Switched from a 2handed build one month ago, and never looked backPosted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
Playing a hybrid spec with high res and dps, using shadowpower + grenades to tank elitepacks, and Loaded for Bear mostly for a burst of hp regen (quick projectile speed + high impact damage).
Don't think I could possibly go back to using a slow-as-fuck 2hander!
