posted a message on Proof that diablo is dying to exploits and mid season changes
Some people in my clan have never touched a public game since the game released. As for dying...hardly but there will inevitably be a drop off. Every game goes through it. People come back to see the new, play for a bit, then leave. I'll give you Warcraft for example. Some the top players in the world only play for a few weeks then they quit and wait for more new stuff or at the least significantly pull back there time investment.

PS: I have never touched seasons and may never touch seasons. Its not really my thing and i know im not the only one. An even if i did i probably wouldn't stick with it for to long...might not even reach cap.

Sounds like they're taking Kripp's advice.

People have been complaining about rubber banding since the beginning and they have been promising it's fix since week one......

wow, i am not a gear switcher myself but why does all of those solution seem terrible.

I like 4 gets the job done without hurting the normal people that bad the rest seem like a bit much, 3 minute CD would be fine in most situations.

    Quote from shaggy

Blizzard has always been horrible about communicating downtime with its customers. This is, sadly, nothing new. After about 4 years of complaints they'll realize that "just the forums" isn't enough because most players aren't going there and sifting through everything just to find out if a blue posted that there will be maintenance on X day. There is a "breaking news" area on both the WoW and D3 login screens for a reason. It's got to be infinitely easier just to keep them accurate than to not use them properly.

Took me 2 clicks and a Google search to get me there. Google > diablo forums > Server status forum where its always posted for every blizzard game at least 2 days in advance unless its a emergency,
If it's a emergency it's still posted there.

Until the game is considered "stable" by Blizzard, I just assume that if's a Tuesday morning / afternoon, Diablo will be down. Downtime will be a lot less once things have settled a bit. Here's hoping, anyway.

It will get better for example for Warcraft: Tuesday use to be the maintenance day but the last two years we have gone months in between maintenance days.

Decent sleep, there we go, back to SC2.

Check to see if SC2 is going down or not sometimes all blizzard games go down at the same time ("New" ones anyway)

The fact that you MUST use the auction house in order to succeed is what's bugging everyone.
The game was supposedly soloable but it clearly is not. I, just as the OP, have not found a single upgrade in the countless Butcher runs. Or anything else of value. Which is just retarded compared to D2, where I did not have any AH, did not trade with other players yet finished the game while enjoying every bit of 'farming'.

Agreed^^ The difficulty isn't really the issue if people got drops then no one would be complaining about how hard melee is compared to ranged, because a little extra farming would fix that.
Same is true now i guess except you farm gold for endless hours and wait on the AH instead of actually playing the game to get a upgrade.
Im all up for the game being hard if you can fix that by actually playing the game instead of staring at a screen for hours while hitting refresh every few minutes.

I want to farm the loot myself, i don't want to but it from others.
It's ok that the AH is there for the people who don't want to play the game the way its intended, but the players who want to farm the gear should be able to.
An not feel forced into buying it from people in later acts.

No one wants to have a Diablo character in full yellow gear, they want them in full Legendary/Set gear.

Im ok with yellows, i just don't want to be forced into going to the AH to get the them an upgrade is a upgrade doesn't matter what the color is to me.

This gonna be sooo epic, Blizzard is removing one farming spot after another....How we gonna farm for those crazy expencive items on AH now?
Since buying stuff from AH is like only way to get into Inferno Act2-4 (Sure work if you have like 10 hours gametime each day) But for normal players this gonna be hell....I feel sad for myself that was hoping to buy a new weapon today after alot of farming....Hip hip hurray for Blizzard ones agin.

Just play the freaking game like you're supposed to and stop trying to find the easy way that isn't playing it

Its not that i dont wanna play the game.
Its just that i cant play like 10 hours each day but i still want to move forward in the game if you understand how i mean.

Inferno is inferno. It doesn't take 10 hours to move forward either. The game is supposed to last a very long time; if you can't get through act 2 go run skeleton king or butcher or something. If you have more time, run it twice. You'll get loot, you'll be able to do act 2. I don't know why people avoid doing this...

Ofc you can run Skeleton king and butcher but the chanse that you actully get what you need is almost zero since there is so many diffrent combos on gear. And that will take alot of time to run down to butcher over and over and its not fun ider.

It may not be fun for you but grinding for a small chance at an upgrade is the whole point of the game.

A welcome change to melee. After 30+ hours of farming Act 1 Inferno, I'm still stuck on my barb - Act 2 still kills me, and can't progress past Maghda. Was starting to feel a bit discouraged, so this is a very welcome change. :)

Yep i have actually stopped playing for the same reasons, i faceroll Act 1 Inferno so im not saying its to hard.
I would just like to move on from Act 1, seeing ranged friends with less gear and skill complete more just cause there range is very annoying.

Im also not saying make it all faceroll, its Inferno it should be hard as nails, but i doubt there original game design was built around Range being superior to melee..
With melee needing 5X the defensive gear then the range making it virtually impossible to farm the gear legitimately.
I understand that the game is all about farming but its become (For me) farm gold > go to auction house > hope there's a upgrade. (Normally there isn't) > Quit.

Yeah, interesting change for melee, but I don't see the point in making the Mortors harder for range, the game is hard enough and as a ranged, mortors is what I hate the most besides the combination of speed and immune.

It's not that there making it harder, there fixing a bug that made it to easy.
