posted a message on We need a fix for leveling up gems - leveling 16 gems per character to level 70+ is a pain especially for multiple characters!
    Quote from Zantargo-next
That is totally not what OP is talking about, how would having gems stored in the cube and even less chances (even if higher %) help with leveling gems for caldessann?
I'd like to see the % chance removed and replaced with exp. That way the rng for those 1% gem upgrades would be removed and a, say, level 1 gem would instantly level to 20 or something when upgraded and a GR 80+. Although I think that suggestion was shot down by blizz already because they liked the probability of the current system more.

Actually, it does. Without power pylon even, unless you're talking solo?

14T crit a few seconds in and I think a 16T right before the end but that's kinda hard to see.

    "Solo"
@OP: +experience, should have used a gem of ease in one of the weapons, that should shave off quite some time from 1-~50. Also probably better to go for damage rings, the small bonus from HF ring isnt exactly great in torment.

    Quote from Thornagolgo-next

Right now on live, you can stand in front of a closed door or wall and kill the whole room without them attacking you back. I'm pretty sure that is not the intended use of this skill.

Well, yeah, but how often do people actually do this? If they are pushing for progress it's way slower; if they are farming they don't need to do this. Also, how often is there a closed room full of monsters?

Compared to that GRs rather often have relatively narrow paths I'd say. It wouldn't be a problem if they were traveling in a straight line, or make it so that they 'bounce' off of walls.

Don't get me wrong, I get that the complete traveling through walls isn't intended nor a good thing, but the current solution (if it even is one) is pretty bad.

posted a message on [PTR] Dust Devil change/nerf?

I don't know if it is because of the visual changes or an actual change, but it seems that dust devils disappear when they hit any kind of wall. That'd be pretty bad considering their pathing is still slighty zig-zag-ish and that results in losing quite a few in narrow paths.

I didn't find any note of this in the official notes nor the undocumented changes, so what's the case here?

Greater Rifts in 2.3 are slightly nerfed from 2.2 ones, right? So what would be the T10 equivalent on live?

I don't know what code is used, but you can simply highlight the text and click the B I U buttons right at the top of the text field.

posted a message on Best Barb Build - We have been trolled ...big time lol
    Quote from Andarusgo-next

Why that? I have a good Skullgrasp (CHD/CHC, 399% WW dmg) and a Elemental Ring (CHD/CHC) and No idea what to use.

Afaik it's because skull grasp only increases the pure whirlwind damage (additive so about double the damage), not the dust devils and very little damage comes from the actual whirlwind compared to the tornados and even rend.

But, on that note, shouldn't it be pretty good with plain 6IK build? Paired with the elemental ring it'd be better then FnR (~3x avg ww damage and 1.5 ancients vs 2.25 both, plus, you'd need to "waste" a skill slot for a primary) or unity for toughness or even RoRG for aughild+hexing pants. Or am I missing something in this case?

posted a message on Trial system - no more! Choose the GR level you want instead.
Definitely agree, trials are boring and more of a chore than anything to me.

Although I don't think they should remove the trial keys, simply change then to greater rift keystones, simply being able to enter greater rifts w/o an entrance fee would make bounties/rift irrelevant, something that blizz surely doesn't want to happen.

Can do mp10 fairly well, acctually looking for a few pointers tho, build the set yesterday, have played monk abit but much more experienced with barbs^^

2.4% ls and 135k dps and you do fairly well? Is that in a group? I somewhat doubt it's solo.

I'm sorta in the same boat as Zuchi, can do MP10 but I prefer 8 due to speed/efficiency.

posted a message on I could use some suggestion/help with gear changes (WW/Rend mp 10 exp farming)
I don't see why you'd want to craft chests instead of the IK armor unless you really want to gamble on that perfect roll.
Yes, you'd lose out on some str, but you could be trading only 50str for about 200vit and 300 armor.
Also your IK belt is easily replaceable with a str/vit one, 220+str 50+vit and 2.8+ls is only ~3m.

posted a message on Stock up on gems now?
    Quote from Abelf
If they increase the price of making gems in RoS, then it might be profitable. But, if they decrease or stay the same, it wouldn't be a good idea to stockpile.
I think there is very little chance they'll increase the gem crafting fee (or any crafting fee even) unless they massivle increase the amount of gold dropped/vendor sales.
IIRC crafting costs on console are very little, also only 2 gems of the lower tier were needed, although I can't find the picture I saw.

posted a message on NDE, EP and reflect damage
Mh, I must've been lucky then that only one reflect was up when I survived.
Guess I misinterpreted his mentioning of multiple explosions, makes sense in a way that it's damage from two sourcesand NDE only saves you from one.
Too bad, as the damage comes in simultaneously it'd be nice if NDE saved from one explosion rather than just one reflect source.
    Thanks!
