    Quote from Shadroz

In my opinion, I think a great geared glass cannon MF Demon hunter, with 4 set natalya's if possible, is probably the best farmer in the game. Whirlwind barbs are great, but require a crap load more gear to be as good as a DH. Whirlwind barb with MF? You would need to spend 100's of millions of gold for the required gear to be a good WW barb that can reliably farm act 3 with MF.

4 set Natalya's is expensive but definitely worth it. Add in MF gear with high dex (not expensive at all really) and you have a great act 3 farmer with high MF. It does require a certain amount of skill to not get one shotted, since the gear you have generally lacks Vit and all res. Once you get the farming down and build up your gold by selling items you find, you can start looking for the expensive gear ie. High dex, high vit, all res and MF.

you can't realistically keep 4 pc nats with 200+ unbuffed MF. Even if its possible you'll probably pay 200+mil apiece for MF nats slots as most of them only have 1 (2 on some?) free rolling affix.

So MF DH you're better off going with a rare hunter cloak with MF and +disc. There's one guy (with no resists mind you) who max mf farms a3 (as in, 20 mf every slot with 18 on both rings and quiver, 31 mf gem in helm), does pretty good, just can't take a hit =)

Personally I use monk (222, no mf gem in, using enchantress not templar), though gearing is a bitch. I stopped even looking for upgrades even though there's some room for upgrades, because searching for 6 stats with only 3 filters just sucks.

But it's barely played in South Korea for example. "All those esports and competitions" The same ones that Blizzard explicitly doesn't support lol? Esports = Other people making money off of Blizzard's game, that's the truth. It's difficult for Blizzard to actually make money from supporting esports apparently.

Kespa plays Sc2 now. Second, http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Premier_Tournaments... over half a dozen 100k+ tourneys this year SO FAR, so while you think SC2 is "barely played in SKorea" due to what you probably heard of it when you followed the game in 2010, you are sorely mistaken.

SC2 is going strong, has good sponsorship and a solid player base.

As for D3, likely you're another person who got 100+ hours out of a non-mmo, non-pvp, non-competitive game and are crying about how it "sucks". The only slogan you forgot to include was asking for a refund like the "D3 is dead"-thread guy.

For monks its not as good as loh until you break 40-50k damage

    Fixed for you.
Just fyi with only 2.7% lifesteal (44k damage), in packs that I aoe, lifesteal is returning ~3k a second (700ish on single target).

    And to address another poster:
Life on hit only procs off some moves. Yes, it is nice. It's also expensive. Ontop of that, it doesn't scale (except for attacks per second), and it doesn't proc off things like SW, cyclones, Backlash, etc.

Lifesteal works on all of these. It is very simple: You do damage, you get % life back based on that damage. Doesn't matter the source or how you dealt the damage, as long as its yours.

Also, its far more common on weapons, and cheaper to budget (values on iL63 weapon range from 2.2-3.0, where life on hit is like 100-1000), and usually an ignored stat when people price things out. 900 dps with socket and loh? 100 million. 900 with socket and ls%? like 5 mil or less. =)

posted a message on MF then and now, why D3 bores.
    Quote from Zergie

The difference is the drop rate. The drop rate, is so miniscule in D3 than D2, that even at max MF, like me, although you will see better items, more often, then when I was farming with NV stack alone, still 80% of the loot you pick up, is worthless.

you know, one thing I have been really noticing:
Yes, 80+% of the loot is worthless. This is being VERY conservative, at that. Sellable/Usable items at atleast 2% of time or rarer, with 20-40% ofd them being nothing but for breaking into essences.

...SO WHY PICK UP THE OTHER ITEMS!
Biggest thing I don't get. D2, how many "godly rags of the whale" and shit did you actually take the time to click on, loot and identify, and subsequently vendor?!

Hint, stop looting iL60 and below items (except rings/amulets/follower focus). Stop taking the time to identify those. And Protip (mainly iL61 weapons and such), you can break those without identifying.

It'll cut atleast 1/3 the time off your clears, not only from saved identifying time, but less trips into town.

THey should just make MF only work on chests when you have 5NV. It would stop the game-refreshing-loot-chest-quit-repeat nonsense, but reward people who clear for them.

posted a message on 3x Loot for Elite Packs
OK guys, here is why its not working for most of you:

First off, you don't get 3x loot. You get packsize-1 loot. SO a 3 champ pack you get 2, for a 4 champ you get 3.

The mobs have to die at the same time to a "When mob dies, deals XX damage to stuff around it" type of effects. I know of two offhand, but there may be more:
    1) Monk Exploding Palm obviously
    2) Barbarian Cleave: Rupture Rune.

When the first one dying triggers the damage on death effect, and kills other mobs, the game thinks both died last, so both drop loot.
The NV portion no longer works, but double loot DEFINATELY still works.

    Enjoy!

posted a message on How should I gear for act2 inf?
I think its worth mentioning most of thre barbs who have managed act 2 have had 60k or so hp, and their damage is around 25-30+k.

This is as important as any resist gear farming. You will NOT succeed with 10k dps.

My usual way of checking if I have enopugh dps is if I can kill treasure goblins. If you can't kill an act 2 goblin, you need better str/dps stuff.

Phys. resist is like THE thing to go for.

Why? Why not ele or all

    you need them all

Also, on rares, you can get dual resist items
    +all resists
    +X resist
    +other stats

you get the point. ALL resists are necessary though

posted a message on Don't quit your barb just yet
Man, getting so sick of all the crying about barbarians and almost all the barbs are gearing totally wrong for this type of content.

Armor% is no DR, and resists further lower damage done. Also, since mobs outlevel us you can't go by tooltip to get correct %, you need to overgear past it.

If you look at the unmitigated base damage of inferno, Stuff does some retarded damage. 90k hits on one mob, 100k on another, even little 1 hitter spiders do like 50k hits. You can have all the hp in a world, stack life% and vitality from here to tomorrow but if your armor is <9-10k in act 2 and resists are under 900ish, you're gonna feel like you're wearing paper mache for armor.

Also, barbs need to stop ignoring their damage output for full "tanking" survivability. This isn't a MMO with defined roles, you need to do both. No damage and fights take way too freaking long. No defense and you get 2 shot everywhere. You need a mix of both.

Also there seems to be "plateaus" per inferno act that you need to reach with your resists to make it go from impossible to manageable, and a higher one to make it farmable in a timely fashion. Case and point?

    Inferno Act 1:
    300ish resists, manageable
    500ish resists, farmable

    act 2:
700ish resists, manageable, with higher hp requirement as well
??? farmable (havent got there yet lol)

As for champ/rares, we do great vs some, can't kill others. Personally I think horde + 2 damage modifiers is still (&^@(#&^
But go ask your dh/wiz friends ask them what they think of combos like desecrator mortar shielding fast lol
