Thanks everyone. I should note that I'm not left-handed, so I don't need a mouse that's ambidextrous or anything like that. I also don't need the Razor Naga's various buttons, I only use maybe 2 (out of 12) of the side buttons near the thumb. I used more when I played WoW but in Diablo I just don't.

I'm surprised at how difficult mouse shopping can be. I went to my local Best Buy (just about the only store in the area that sells mice), and the selection was so poor. All of their mice were wireless... that's right... they had NO wired mice. They also didn't have a selection of any other than Logitech and they did not seem gaming oriented. They weren't even available to try, they were sealed in the box. I'm not sure of any kind of shop I can go to that will have a decent selection of gaming mice for me to try, so I suppose I might buy a few from amazon and then return the ones I don't like.

If you use a palm grip, the naga definitely wasn't a good choice. Darn thing is too small. Try a deathadder, or if you want the capability of going wireless without the requirement, check out the Razer Mamba. Both have the two thumb buttons you're looking for, but the Mamba has two additional ones next to the left click that I've found to be exceptionally useful. I used a Deathadder for a long time, and had no cause to regret it. My wife's using it now, still works great (despite her casual mistreatment of it :P)

A warning though, Razer Mamba is pricey.
Thanks, I agree with you about the Naga. It feels like it's too small. Is the Deathadder/Mamba a lot larger? I was looking at them before.

cant recommend a model or brand but I can give you things to ponder.

    1. don't buy a mouse without feeling it in your hand.
I appreciate your suggestions. However, this is hard to do because most of these mice aren't on sale anywhere near me. I went to Best Buy and I was really surprised what little they had for me to actually try.

I've been using the same Razor Naga mouse since late 2011. However, it's becoming unusable. First, the left click was double/triple clicking, and now the left click has just become more difficult to press. I think this mouse has run its course after three years.

Currently using this mouse in D3, my hand and knuckles start to ache to the point that I have to stop playing. Sometimes, the knuckles under my index finger feel so tired that I just can't click any more.

I've been looking for a new mouse, but there are so many and I want to be careful about which one I buy. I only use two of the 12 "side buttons" on the Naga, so I don't care about having tons of buttons. Just two that my thumb can press will do. I just want the mouse to be comfortable so that maybe my hand won't get as tired.

I hold mice in a palm-grip. I think the Naga mouse kind of forces me (or at least my thumb) into a claw style grip which I find uncomfortable. I want my hand to rest completely on the mouse.

Any recommendations are appreciated. (In addition, any other tips on how to reduce aching/tiredness in the hand while playing are appreciated too).

posted a message on Crusader Help and Critique thread. - Post Gear/Build queries here.
I've adjusted my build based on some additional finds and in response to some suggests given to me here (from Optic). Here is my new build/gear:

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Ult-1926/hero/44186501

My total DPS buffed is reading as 724k, but I also have +50% holy dmg total all from helm, neck, and wrist. My toughness is 9.4k in game (for some reason it doesn't show that on character profile).

It was suggested that my build before was way too heavy on toughness (I had 14 mil/800k life) and low on dmg (I had 550k or so). However, I felt like I was doing T3 comfortably, maybe a little slow. Now that I took the suggestion to lower my toughness and increase my damage, I feel like my performance is much worse in T3. I am constantly running away to avoid death (and thereby not dealing dmg) and I feel like my health drops fast. It feels like I'm doing something wrong, since I have dropped running T3 and now run T2.

I also switched from a Blessed Hammer/close range build to a long-range Fist of the Heavens build and maybe that will help my performance Iin T3 (since now I can deal damage at more range). I will test this out.

    My Paragon spec is:

1: All STR.2: All CD. 3: All life regen. 4: All area damage.
I would appreciate any suggestions about how to improve further. Thank you :).

EDIT*** : First of the Heavens + Wrathful build seems to be working a lot better on T3 since I can now deal a lot more damage at range. I suppose the hammer build wasn't working as well because they require more of a tanky gear set. Anyway, suggestions still welcome!

Optio82 - thanks so much for your reply.

I wonder what I could do at adjust my build based on what I have. Most of your suggestions are to find items, but that isn't something that can be done quickly. I don't have the plans forAughilds and it might never drop, so I can't craft it now. I have been trying for the ring, but no luck yet.

I've been hoping for a new weapon but this is the best I've ever come across (which oddly enough, I found on my wizard).

I do have another shield, which is an Ivory Tower (STR/AR/Life/CC9.5), and I do have a leg Neck - Haunt of Vaxo (it has basically the same stats as my rare, with more STR and VIT instead of holy dmg). Despite putting that on and gaining 5% sheet dps, my damage feels lower because I lose the 15% holy damage from the rare neck.

I was originally running a Heaven's Fury build, but I tried and tried and just could never get used to it. I strongly dislike having to aim the beam and frequently miss. Maybe when if I get the flail that enhances it, I'll try it again.

Anyway, I switched to using blessed hammers with limitless (since I have +34% holy dmg). I can clear T3 easily and T4 slowly, although single target is painfully slow. Generally, I feel like my damage is too low, but to get more I have to sacrifice so much toughness. Even with near 14 mil, I feel too squishy in T4.

posted a message on Should I dump all my gear?
So, I got a chance to play for a few hours last night and I'm really liking the changes, particular the loot changes. However, I feel as if I "spoiled" my character previously by gearing him up via the auction house. I am wondering, given "loot 2.0", if anybody is just starting their character fresh? (either a new character entirely or dumping all previously AH-bought gear).

I might just consider doing that. It seems nice to have a "self-found character". Only now, all the stuff I find still doesn't quite match all my AH-bought crap.

posted a message on Someone help me understand stats
Level 57 Wizard currently in Act 2 Hell - STILL confused about stats, particularly on weapon. So much I don't quite understand yet.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1) I tend to look for weapons with the highest DPS right away. Is this correct?

    2) When a weapon says: "+20-70 Cold Damage", etc. I thought that meant it will only make my cold SPELLS (like Ray of Frost, perhaps) do more damage. Someone told me this impacts all abilities anyway - what?

    3) When an item has + regular damage (as in, +3-10 damage), is this desirable? Should I be looking for items with this? How does it compare to INT?

    4) Sometimes I'm looking for a weapon and I notice some have +% dmg, (like +17% damage). Is this a massive boost? Should I be looking for weapons with high DPS AND + % damage?

    5) What about +% attack speed. Worse than +% damage?

    6) ^ Begs the question. 1H v 2H. I was using a 2H at the start, seemed they always had higher DPS. Switched to a 1H and a shield recently to help with defense/kiting. I read that 1H is better in Hell+ because you no longer channel one of those beams (which a 2H does better because it casts in longer?) and you cast quick single-button-press spells (like orb/signature) more quickly? However, people seemed to disagree about which type of weapon is better.

    7) What kind of stats on the rest of my gear should I be aiming for - Hell Act 2+? Currently have 20k health, 5k DPS. Seems like my DPS should be higher. Should I be getting VIT on everything?

    8) Does weapon DPS listed on the item INCLUDE the modifiers that are on it? Or is that calculated before.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Thanks! :)

posted a message on Act 4 hastily thrown together?
Does anyone else think this? I've just finished my second playthrough of Act 4 and I had this feeling once again.

    1) Perhaps I'm EXTREMELY unlucky - but I didn't like the side dungeons in my first playthrough on normal. None of them were big and winding - just small rooms. Sometimes when I finished them, I was left thinking - "so what else... where's the chest???". I assumed that this was just a unlucky roll for the zone and that when I play through on Nightmare, there would be bigger and better ones. This didnt't happen. In fact, I got side dungeons that are EXACTLY the same again.

There is no/little randomization in Act 4?

    2) The act is just way shorter than the rest. It just feels like they threw it together and didn't have that same lengthiness like all the others. If anything, THIS one of all should not feel this way.

    Thoughts?
