What's a good version of the build to use if you are playing with a tank? You haven't updated the builds to use in the OP.

Does anyone know of a way to turn off the background animation of the login screen and character selection screen? Before you enter the game and you see your character standing there, I want to disable the moving background completely, just something static would be good. Sorry if repost.

So, to sum this idea up, I guess, this was the thought process:

    1. We want to avoid melee combat because it's disadvantagous.
    2. Instead of rolling a ranged class, we make it work with the Barb.
    3. We try to make the 130% weapon damage Weapon Throw spammable.
3a. To achieve this we reduce its cost down to 5 via items.
3b. We use a mighty Weapon with Weaponmaster to get 3 of those 5 fury back, reducing the effective cost to 2.
3c. We use the slowest, heaviest hitting possible weapon (2h) to minimize the fury cost per time. Let's say 1.00 attacks per second, that's 2 fury per second and 120 fury per minute.
3d. We use several non-melee usable cooldown abilities to fuel this fury need. Pretty easy.

Now that we had to give up our survival abilities(mainly passives), we can't go into melee anymore anyway and enter the realm of glass cannons. This means, we could gear for full dps and be a oneshot or spend millions to survive some hits.

Sounds like an auto attacking Demon Hunter with zero discipline to me(I have both at 60).
    Sorry for being harsh ;)

    3. 145%, but yes.

Would you mind explaining this little tidbit, isn't it 130? Or am I missing something really tiny detail

Looks very nice..I've played around with it a bit and had purchased a set to play around with. I only tried DW though..I may have to give it another go. Not to mention sword and board isn't my cup of tea.

I understand. I didn't roll a barb to go with a shield either but it works and it matches my armor so I'm good..

DW - 2h and sword and board all work. I like the shield because I die less, actually almost never now. DW definately does more damage, you can put in emeralds and get massive crit hit damage which gives you 100k +++ dps, which I think is overkill if you don't have reasonable survivability.

I don't understand why you even use a shield at all. In what way is it even helping you survive more? Does it have a lot of vitality? I mean normally when i think of shield i think of revenge build. Why not just equip another 1H and just dps faster.

Also would you mind giving me a screenshot of all your gear pieces, I'd like to see the stats so I know where to follow.

The gear requirement has gone up a lot, you actually need badass gear to do Act 3 now. I realize that a lot of you may now be unable to complete the run due to enrage timers, which sucks, but I think that we can work around that.

First, I suggest you guys try to play multiplayer. Since they also removed the increased damage from additional players, it is now viable to tank in a group. You may want to change a few skills, in particular Ground Stomp is great. Others you can try are Threatening Shout and Seismic Slam (Strength of Earth). Seismic slam is amazing against normal mobs but really struggles against elite packs, as they are immune to knockback.

So you're suggesting that we change our skills to Ground Stomp, if so what will it replace? And If we pick up Threatening Shout and Seismic Slam? Do we need all of them?

I was wondering how you gear your follower, as I have no idea what to do with mine, I played with friends all the way to 60 and never touched my follower, also their specs would be helpful, thanks zrave.

Because rings, amulets and offhands there is no guaranteed way to replace them based on column G. If you have a dps ring and replace it with a stat ring the column G comparison wont have dps in it, so a white out would miss this change, the same if you replaced an offhand weapon with a shield or source, or if you replaced your main hand with a two hander, you would have to have a way to show that you are unequipping both weapons.

As an example, why doesn't rings just work like the mainhand. If I enter values of 2(bot dmg) & 6 (top dmg) for ring 1, and place a 0 dmg stat ring in as possible switch, shouldn't it just know that the change will be -2 and -6? Like the Weapon 1 section, if i just enter in 200/400 damage weapon, and enter in 0/0 it will then have a change of -200/-400. Basically, why doesn't the column G just work for everything else like it does for Weapon 1. We're already entering in the current stats of the weapon2, ring, amulet in the Column C, why must it be repeated in Column F? Column C and F will always be the same anyway. Sorry if these are dumb questions, I'd like to take a stab at something this intricate someday, and wanted to understand the thought process and mechanics.

It looks to me like Column D (Change) will always be Column G - Column C. So what then is the point of F?

Still learning how to use this table and had a few questions that would help a noob like me out. What is the purpose of having a "Current Equipped Item" column to compare with "Possible Switch"? Since we already have a spot for the "Current" item stats in the blue input column, isn't this a bit redundant to have "Current Equipped Item" as well? If there is a clear use for this can you please explain for a me, thanks.

Also the Current Equipped Item column for Weapon 1 is now whited out, isn't it supposed to be yellow?

The current equipped item column is for comparing 1 item to a possible switch item, or combinations, example sword and shield to two one handers or a 2 hander. Basically the current equipped column is what you will be unequipping when you equip your possible switch item.

The current equipped for item 1 is whited out, because if you are replacing your main hand weapon it autimatically assumes that you are unequipping your main hand weapon.

Thanks for the clarification on that, but now why isn't Weapon 2's "Current Item Equipped" not whited out, or even rings and amulets? Since they two would be assumed to be unequipped for a new possible item.

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this but I was recently looking for ranged barb guides, and came across this video

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CboAY3vkSzk&lcor=1&lc=zPOD3GJOW3KeOGegYKVaSrNGqi3Hm-jw4b6fRrdpxfo&lch=email_reply&feature=em-comment_reply_received

Does anyone have any idea what shoulder armor these are? Is it a specific named item or set piece or legendary, or does it encompass a certain item level range. Any help would be appreciated thanks again, this style is quite fun!

Sadly it seems String of Ears/Stormshield are almost mandatory for progressing through Act 3/4 solo. They give WAY more damage mitigation than anything else can due to the huge diminishing returns on resistances/armor at high values. The block and melee damage reduction really make a difference. Shame it costs 10mil+ for decent stats on those 2 as people have worked out all Barbs want them...

5-stack Inferno Azmodan kill from a dual-wielding Barb:
I'm not sure how he does in Act IV, but the shield looks less than mandatory.

Wow i'd really like to know this build.

I think it's probably something like this http://us.battle.net...iQPk!fYZ!abaZZc
He focuses on crits to get fury(via passive) to spam weapon throw non-stop.
I don't know what is the rune on ancient spear, so don't consider it...
He also uses the Scoundrel for the 3% crit I think, not sure

battle rage with Into to Fray

    http://us.battle.net...iQPk!fZY!abaZZZ
This is the build he listed. No Into the Fray, no fucking clue how he maintains is rage. This specific build is the one he listed for the above video.

In his faster 12.5 second kill video he uses this one, only difference is the Ancient Spear rune. (He doesn't have 5 stack in the 12.5 kill so maybe that build was only for maximum dmg output.
    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#fdiQPk!fZY!aZaZZZ

I guess you need the heal to clear trash/elites with Ancient Spear.

EDIT: I got really confused when FLM posted this build above:
    http://us.battle.net...iQPk!fZY!acaZZZ

So the said player in the video uses pretty much the same build in different scenarios, not sure which is good where. Only thing he changes around is the rune on Ancient Spear. Still no Into the Fray, wtfff.
