i think its an easy explanation of the fight.

    step one: bears
    step two: more bears
step three: bears giving birth to bears who also fight.
step four: pull out the frogs to change it up
step five: bears in ghillie suits to ninja slap Diablo to death.
step six: win while still summoning bears.

hope thats no too hard for ya.

no problem. im playing better than i would with mouse/keyboard. once you get used to it its just like playing any other controller game. play with your setup to get it dialed in and pwn.

thus why the controller works so well. the left d pad is used for cursor movement

    X: left mouse button
    O: right mouse button
    square: 1
    triangle: 2
    right direction pad: 3
    left direction pad : 4
    up direction pad: scroll up
    down direction pad: scroll down
    R1: shift
    L1 Space
    start: ESC
    select: Y (achieve)
    PS button: C (charactre screen)
    right dpad pushdown: Q (potion)

for my spec it works perfectly. i use berserker and earthquake so i put those on the directional so i dont accidentally hit em when i dont want to. X corresponds with main attack and moving so it is common to the throttle in racecar games.

i do not like the mouse click movement as much as anyone else and wish they changed to the WASD style. so the next best thing is to make it work for me. i am willing to bet that this game will move to console in the future and thus the reason we only have 6 abilities. it fits perfectly on the controller as if it was meant for it.

also please dont knock it until you try it and fiddle with it. both my friend and i blast through content with ease and only use the keyboard to type to friends. other than that the controller is all we need. adapt and overcome is what i believe and im adapting to horrible charachter control and overcoming spell control downfalls.

So i have come to realize that Diablo III was not meant to be played using a Keyboard and mouse. Yesterday while playing my buddy and i came up with the idea of using PS3 controllers we had laying around. so we downloaded a couple programs and setup our buttons and started hacking ans slashing.

First impressions was that of an old super mario brothers 3 gameplay. as i repeated hell mode and became comfortable with the controller setup it became second nature. the only issues i have is with wondering cursor if i lose track of what im doing. other than that it works so much better than keyboard and mouse setup.

if you want to use a PS3 controller it is very simple. the two programs i use are:

    DS3 Tool
    Joy to key

if you would like anymore info on this please let me know.

i just entered inferno and solo'd diablo on hell with the controller.

thanks and have a great day.

the joystick moves the mouse. however it is easily learned and i am now playing just as good if not better than when i used my keyboard and mouse. its quite nice.

i have been able to set up my d3 on my ps3 controller and all i can do is lol. Blizzard obviously made this game to be compatible with consoles. thus the limited (6) abilities at one time. so now i can lay back and play from my couch if i wanted too.

yes. but its weird. i was on the quest to find the alter and the dungeon he was in looked nothing like the other dungeons and it was full of rare mobs. id say 4 or 5 sets. i wonder how many others got this feat of strength and perhaps i am the first. thus why i am looking for others with it.

so what this thread says is that in order for a barb to survive and progress through the game we have to do sh1t damage and stack vitality? while demon hunters/witchdoctors/wizards can all focus on pure dps stay at range and mow everything down? where is the logic in that? i played a barbarian because i liked how they were able to mow everything in their path down in d2. this is a bad philosophy to go with even with a health pool as large as it can be you step towards a rare mob with fire around it and you will die. at that point the only ability for a barbarian is to switch to a throw build and kite the mob around the room.

that being said i have switched to a witch doctor and all i have to do is stay back slow and throw spiders at everything and i win. there is no balance when it comes to melee vs ranged as with all blizzard games. your developers need to pull their heads out of their behinds and stop thinking only about ranged.

thanks Blizzard for ruining Barbarian and Monk gameplay in the first week of release. you should be ashamed of yourselves
