Not much to say other than your MH makes me moist. Was going to ask how come people go for dex inna pants rather than vit ones seeing as 99% of the time you get more overall stat points for for the vit ones but I assume it's due to the fact people's EHP is already high enough by default and the extra dex outweighs.

Get rid of that mempo instantly. It's the worst one I have ever seen.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
Edit: seeing as shinna's already covered all the spec related stuff I'll just say that considering you have 1bil to spend on a set you should get rid of every single piece of gear apart from:
1) Inna pants
2) Nat's ring and boots
3) Witching hour
4) The WKL is kinda good too (high DPS and decent LS albeit low-ish lightning bonus) if you go for an EP build, guess the EF is alright too I guess but with a 1b budget you should be able to get a better one if you decide to go for bell.
TLDR: craft a shitload.
Edit: Inna's chest is okay too considering high dex, single vit/life% and decent resist but realistically with that amount of money getting one with same life% and same dex with 250~ vit instead of the resist roll is probably going to be overall more EHP than the one you currently have.

Your gear confuses me so much. It's obvious some pieces are expensive and you have full radiant gems but as Elendiro said it's just so unoptimized - why are you using bladestorm for a non-nirvana build? And better yet and as above stated, why would anyone that isn't using cyclone use a WKL? You're really much better off grabbing a slow as you can get rare MH for that spec even if you do change the SW rune (which I strongly imagine you should, even though I've never played bell myself).Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
Why does your witching hour have just about as low CD as you can get and 8% AS? Sure it has high dex but the whole point of that belt is to boost the two aforementioned stats as much as you can seeing as you can get the extra dex in just about any other piece. It doesn't have resists or vit either, mine cost me 17m~ a couple weeks ago, EU and obviously underpriced (if I can snipe with my attention span then anyone else can too) but with 90 dex, 90 vit, 45 single res and 9/47 - this would boost your EHP by a ton whilst also being very likely to give you more damage than yours. At the cost of less than say, one of the gems in your chest which is giving you like 300 more damage than a perfect star would.
I'd also go with Shinna's advice on the unity, although if your budget isn't superhigh and you want to keep the attack speed I'd look for one with that instead of crit damage as they tend to provide higher DPS boosts within the sub 100m zone (in my experience).
Would personally say your HP looks kinda low but that obviously depends on what MP you run and on your playstyle etc, I'm really not a fan of tal's chest and would opt for blackthorne's with 120/220+ dex/vit which would sky your resists by like 60; you don't run double LS so the damage from the AS on yours isn't really giving you anything besides the, well, pure damage. Or get a really sick inna's but for that to beat the damage yours is giving you while providing a substantial EHP gain you'd need to spend a lot, plus the spirit regen bonus feels and is a massive waste.
Given you improve your EHP you should really get crafting some gloves, the DPS on yours is really low and the only reason I can see for you to keep them is the high ish resists and the pickup radius (I play with none right now and honestly feel no difference from having 6-7). Should craft bracers as well, can easily get the same stats on them as yours have with a bit of luck and patience while doubling the dex number (slight exaggeration statistically speaking, albeit possible). Can probably improve your amulet too but I was insanely lucky with my crafts there so I can't really provide you with accurate information.

Isn't that the issue most US streamers have been having to deal with for the past few months? Buy something, purchase accepted, check completed tab and turns out the AH ate it. If so, what I've seen most people do is buy cheap versions of the same item or same item "class" (eg. random magic/rare boots to "flush" zuni boots, etc.) until it eventually pushes the item they want through. Every time someone's done this it seems to work sooner or later so I assume it's safe to say it's reliable.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Aren't the EHP number requirements being exaggerated quite a fair bit in this thread? 600k~ for MP10 seems unnecessarily high taking my own experience into account - I have 300k~ DPS in combat (no WKL and with combo strike and 3 stacks) and just under 400k EHP with 5.8% LS; now granted the efficiency or however we want to call it on MP10 isn't the best in my opinion I still felt relatively comfortable farming pretty much any area. VoA was tricky because the wraiths and the blazing guardians are awful mob types when they have shit like horde and arcane and whatever else but before the changes to mob density I don't remember dying to anything other than banelings (once every blue moon) when doing the standard Keep Depths level 2.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
Admittedly I have not really farmed the new act 1 fields of misery + zombie area route etc on any MP but having done a shitload of VoA runs on MP9/10 (mostly 9) I can say the thing that seems to be putting me off from farming it on 10 all the time is my DPS being too low, not lack of EHP. My EHP leaves me plenty of room for mistakes and I hardly ever realistically get one shot bar the aforementioned, say, waller and arcane enchanted blazing guardians with horde, I just really need better and faster life return which is only obtainable by increasing my DPS. Plus that'd make farming MP10 less drawn out and boring by default for obvious reasons which would then make it gradually more efficient.
Edit: to be noted that I'm playing an SP build, I really don't know much about bell burst, nirvana etc, maybe those require higher EHP for whatever reason and have higher DPS base from the get-go due to using an Echoing Fury OH.

I'm quite the fan of HP personally, I'd say 650 resists is slightly overkill if you just tune your vit better; I'm at around 5.4k armour, 550 all res and 55k HP running MP10 - I have just over 220k ish DPS (unbuffed) with 5.8 LS which keeps me alive just fine, DPS-wise your weapons are perfectly fine, the part that worries me is the fact they only have 2.4 LS each; then again I run an EP build rather than bell so I don't really know all that much about how you can handle the DPS vs LS "issue" while wearing an Echoing Fury (I use 2 1.1k~ DPS 60+ crit 2.8/3% LS black swords).Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
Being Paragon 100 definitely helps with the HP problem but I'd say you have some room to work with by buying high vit inna pants as I recommended before, I'd also ditch the all rest inna chest (which is okey) for a 200+ vit 12% life one with no resists, your second ring has a lot of DPS but in my opinion getting vit/life % on a ring (and possibly keeping the arcane res for OWE) and forgetting about the crit damage for now (keep the 4+ crit and 7+ AS though) could be more beneficial too but most people will probably disagree with me. I'm also a fan of vit gems having 3 of those radiant stars on my gear but overall it's just a matter of mix matching seeing as obviously as your DPS increases so will your life return and dropping below 50-55k HP won't be that big of a deal anymore (right now for me it is).
Your DPS will increase substantially (I gain like 100k~ from both 3stack WotHF rune + combination strike) if you ditch guiding light and the heal for those 2 but if your barb friend is decked to the teeth and benefits a truckload from the 20% damage increase you might as well go with that. I severely doubt it'll outweigh the DPS gain you'd bring along with the 2 generator spec but that's something you can test anyway; plus you get free 15% movement speed from the rune as well at 3 stacks which is nice, even more so considering your MS isn't capped (none on your boots, another reason I'd say you should get nat's even if you drop some HP, resists and maybe even DPS there).
6/2/2013 1:30:54 PM
Nat boots (don't know why you don't have them from the get-go considering your nat's ring is trifecta and even though you already have 2 set the bonus dex from 2 set should beat your rare boots either way),Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
Craft (mainly shoulders),
Should get vit on your pants (although for that either you drop some of the dex and get a vit roll similar to the int one yours already have or get ones with 180~ vit and 9% ias instead which is what I have and what I'd say you need considering your HP is low),
Feels a bit pointless to say you should try and look for "better" weapons since yours are good but the LS overall is kinda low for mp10 I'd say unless your DPS skyrockets somehow,
Unless you want to keep the nat's head for the 3 piece bonus I'd say getting a high dex (250+) Andariel's (possibly with split vit like I have on mine, 70~) or one with dex and a socket if you want the gem will probably result in higher DPS, doubt it's advisable to look for a mempo with "only" 1b budget.
PS: Oh and more importantly (arguably) I'd say you should drop either Serenity or the heal (I'd say the latter seeing as with your EHP serenity is really handy, if nothing else for reflect damage packs while you bust bells out) for the second generator and play with combination strike (unless you only play multi and wanna keep guiding light).

Got this couple nights ago after like 350 tries, almost gave me a heart attack seeing as my previous amulet was terrible DPS-wise (I needed EHP badly at the time and hadn't gotten around to replacing it yet).
No luck replacing shoulders or bracers yet but I'm being pretty picky there (high dex, vit, double resists and life%/crit or no go really); also haven't been able to replace the 5th pair of gloves I crafted the day the patch came - those are okey though, 250 dex, 50 vit, 49% CHD, 9% crit and 50 all res.

As always there are people who really do not understand how the topic is supposed to be conducted, like the people that post on "rate the song above you" threads and don't even post a song. Or just post a song and then don't rate the one above them. But here I'm pretty sure most people are just being egotistical and not wanting to be bothered to help others but rather just post their stuff (sometimes over and over again, without rating anyone, ever) hoping that some poor dumb bastard is nice enough to tell them how to gear up.
It's not even hard. Takes literally 10 or something seconds to check an armory and then post. You can just write 8/10 or whatever and be done with it, anything would be better than posting nothing at all and then going "hey guys :)))) can you help with my monk I need upgrade 30million budget what u guys think of it? ^^ hehe, pls I am new monk" I mean please. I shouldn't even care but it's just so irksome how selfish people can be with something as easy as just giving your opinion on someone's character.

Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from CaosBut no, 6k € with a game? I could have earned more playing soccer in my country.
Of course. But if you can earn 6k over a while by playing like 2 hours a day and doing something you enjoy and have a normal job as well I would say that's no more than welcome. From what I understand playing this game isn't the OP's job, he's just doing it for fun and getting some money out of it is just an added bonus. I work 6 hours a day and even having flipped a grand total of maybe 10 items (for considerable profit anyway, 20m+ maybe, I've done smaller ones too) I've made like 10 billion gold since release by farming. I did make a lot when everyone was switching from tanks to glass canons by hoarding items beforehand but that was about it.
You can make tons of money out of this game if you just know how to play the AH(s), you don't have to make a job out of it even though with enough time and patience/knowledge you probably could.
