Do you still need help with this boss? If so, here's a strat a friend of mine gave me for solo'ing inferno Belial on her DH...

Got any increased attack speed rings and amulets you're not using currently for your max DPS set? Give them to your Scoundrel.

Give your Scoundrel any old ranged weapon with increased cold damage on it (very important). Favour hand crossbows or bows for faster attack speed.

Spec your scoundrel for increased damage on crits, triple shot, blind, and slow.

Your listed DPS stats are good so far. Here's what you do to improve them for this fight and for may other solo fights with monsters that can 1-shot you from now on...

Get a decent increased cold damage ranged weapon (700 listed DPS or higher) for yourself, unless you have a very high damage non-cold weapon. A socketed or in-house increase critical damage stat on your weapon helps a lot here.

    Use the standard DPS spec:
    Nether Tentacles
    Puncturing Arrow

    Prep (Focused Mind)
    Lingering Fog
    MFD (Mortal Enemy)
    Bat

    Sharpshooter
    Archery
Steady Aim -OR- Cull the Weak if you're using a cold damage weapon and your attack rate is faster than 1.5

    Stand in the corner. Nuke.

Hungering arrow single mobs, Nether Tentacle groups.

Leave the last serpent guard alive. Let you Scoundrel and Bat kill it while you run around avoiding it to build your Sharpshooter to 100%.

Get in position so that when Belial comes down, you can just barely see him on the left side of your screen.

Mark him. Hit him with a good number of Nether Tentacles. Smoke Screen to avoid getting hit.

After his third attempt to melee you, he'll switch to ranged shots. Make sure you have a full tank of hatred and nuke him. Keep your discipline recharging using an early Prep and time your Smoke Screens to avoid getting hit by his ranged attacks.

If guards begin spawning, use your Smoke Screen to get them to line up either around, in front, or behind Belial such that your Tentacles take care of them while continue to also pumpel him.

Lastly, win. And let me know how it goes. I like feedback.

Edit: FYI, I've completed Inferno and killed almost every champion/elite monster I've come across using a 890 DPS cold damage bow with +70% crit damage jewel with the exact same spec I linked above. Just in case there are any objections to using a cold damage weapon :)

Offtopic, how did you manage to get over ACT III elite packs called Soul rippers I think, the one that hit you with their tongue?

Above is a build that I used in group play when we had difficulties surviving certain encounters and/or areas. With decent gear the damage output is good enough, and the stun really helps reducing incoming damage by a TON. It even interrupts many of the bosses' abilities, an example being the charge ability of the Butcher.

Interesting build. I do see it can work nicely vs elite groups that require stuns to be used (to be honest which one doesnt?), but it also requires decent group and some tanks to work, dont see it as a solo build since kiting capabilities are close to 0. But with good friends to take damage, it seems like a good build.

Yes I agree that with Dazzling rune it can work out in few situations. I do agree that also dmg can be "pumped up" nicely, but still, regarding the inferno, I dont believe that there is a single elite pack that can be brought down with 2 hits. And the basic function of Cluster arrow, as I see it is to kill something in 2 hits. I just dont see that happening in Inferno, and plus after the burst is gone your sharpshooter will constantly refresh due to your hunger arrow spam to gain hatred and Cluster arrow will be even less viable. I think it deserves a fix (regarding the hatred cost)

Ok, im progressing towards Azmodan inferno on my DH, and probably will take him out tonight if I get decent elite packs in few areas before him, but so far there is one thing that completelly confuses me and that is - Cluster Arrow.

I mean so far I have not had a single use of this skill (regardless of rune) that I found suitable. I totally do not understand the point of this skill at all. Really am I missing something? What is the purpouse of Cluster arrow? The area od damage is too small (comparing to multishot), the cost of hatred is incredibly high, (basically two shots) and damage is also somewhat irrelevant when you can shoot Cluster arrow twice and then go hatred starved.

Now Id like your opinions on this, what is this skill bloody good for because it is confusing me to the heavens!

I'm using Chakram with razor disk rune for normal easy creeps. And then Cluster arrow with Loaded for Bear rune for harder packs and when I just feel like nuking the shit out of things. Viable build both for normal runs, single target DPS and AOE.

    My build for everything.

Pwns the shit out of Inferno. ;-)

But you do know you do more dps with Steady aim passive then with the sharpshooter? I also dont agree with that rune on chakram, because, I am 100% sure tons of its damage is wasted when you encounter fast/teleporting mobs.

When you have to move a lot in boss fights - Double chakrams, in stituational fights like maybe Belial - Rapid fire. At bosses that you can hurt with stun (aka interrupt shit) use impale with stun. I dont believe impale does more single target dps then rapid fire because it costs a ton of hatred. At least its my assumption.

Ok, your build is not that bad, but it could use some optimisation. Multishot is really good when you are facing large number of mobs, which are usually in this game low hp mobs which go down fast anyway with anything. I have yet to find really good use for multishot, and it was couple of times when I got engaged by large number of weak mobs (and even then I used rune for discipline regeneration)

Now, what you really need to do, is get Elemental arrow (frost arrow rune). Now that skill is awesome because it deals both good multi-target dmg, single target dmg, and a constant slow + it costs small amount of hatred. With that skill, you dont really need caltrops at all.

vault+smoke screen = big waste. You dont need vault when you are using smoke screen, if you do, you really need to get more skilled.

Regarding your hatred generator, you should only use Boa combined with the stun rune (lightining something), because it really helps when facing dangerous foes (it is situational, and I recommend it on higher difficulties). Usually, you would do much better dmg with Hungering arrow (cinder arrow rune).

Now, if you use preparation with punishment rune, you NEED TO GET night stalker PASSIVE, because it increases your discipline everytime you crit. If you do not use it you will simply discipline starve.

Basically, what I mean is something like this:

    http://us.battle.net...XjVl!XeY!ZZYaZb

Feel free to change primary hatred generator with hunger arrow (cinder rune).

    not true...
Bola shot has many viable runes. And the first lightning rune you unlock on elemental arrow is very effective on nightmare/hell. Vault+smokescreen is a bad combination thought, that is right.
How do you manage on hell with your build without shadow power - gloom?

Yes I agree on lightning rune, however, the projectile is really slow and it does not slow enemies, and since frost arrow does, it is a winner for me. Regarding bolas, dunno, I usually use the stun one, to help out with annoying elites + do some aoe. My main source dmg is coming from frost arrow. Well regarding the shadow power- gloom, first of all, I play with friends (they do some heavy tanking giving me space), second of all in tricky situations I simply use smoke screen.
