Unfortunately I never botted. I just have a lot of time on my hands.
Also the video on the front page isn't the correct one. That was the first first time I tested any sort of tanky build vs Diablo, which was a really long time ago.

Posted in: Demon Hunter: The DreadlandsQuote from AvarriVery interesting and different. I haven't looked at rapid fire since I finished normal mode on night 1. So does it not work with LOH at all? And also is it possible to use the prep rune that returns hatred while continuing to channel? Would that be worth even swapping in if provided endless hatred spending through nightstalker?
Cool ideas sir.
I don't think the hatred switch would work, because you still need to spop the damage reduction with gloom from time to time. If you do that you won't be able to keep popping prep for hatred back. Maybe with a Nat set, you may be able to it better.
I have never had any life on hit, so I can't say how it works with rapid fire.

There is a very simple solution to the Act 3 farming problem. Do Act 2 instead. Drops exactly the same loot, and you can kill 3 times as much in the same amount of time, with 0 deaths. I was farming Act 3 forever, and then I stepped foot back into Act 2. I found out that Act 3 is a total waste of your time. I had no trouble clearing Act 3 by the way, but I did need to keep my eyes open, and was unable to watch TV shows while I did it. In the time it would take me to do act 3 I could do act two, and just from counting how many 63 rares I have gotten. If you full clear both acts, you will almost always get more lvl 63s from Act 2. Isn't that awesome? Which run will take more time? They both take about the same time really, assuming you only die like 3 times in act 3 for the entire act. If you die any more than 5 times in Act 3, you should not even look at it. The only way to do effective act 3 clears is to have a tank friend who just runs through the entire act and only fights elites. That is the only time Act 3 MAY be better to do.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands

Figured I would update my post even though most people are probably no longer interested since this is no longer new or special. I have seen quite a few tanky videos after I posted mine, mainly the ones with grenades and nat set never ending discipline builders. I wouldn't have posted any videos unless it was something different.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
So here it is. Some abuse of rapid fire mechanics.

I would recommend getting yourself a 1100 dps bow with a socket, and put a 100% crit hit gem in it. I think last one i saw had 110 vit at 1120 dps for 6 mil. You'r 1h xbow is pretty good. Your 2h bow is not :(. Depending on your budget, you can get yourself some boots with about 260+ dex/vit/60+ allres for about 10-15 mil. Your rings make me sad. You can get some pretty good rings cheap. Also I have seen 80dex/vit 5ias 50crithit dmg amulets for 1 mil.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands

Posted in: Demon Hunter: The DreadlandsQuote from HatchyIt's funny to see all of the children whining about their damage being nerfed. The argument I see being used is "wizard still has this" or "WD still has this."
Take a step back and view things from a different perspective.
Your class was OP. The damage was absolutely ridiculous and now you're upset because you have to actually learn to play the game. Most DH (hell, ranged as a whole) have been able to get by primarily knowing how to click a mouse.
Before you cry about your class losing some damage, go check out monks. You'll realize your class isn't so bad.
You can't compare anyone to monks. Monks are completely broken, and total garbage class, that blizzard failed to create.

It's not so bad. We just went from having the 4th highest dps in the game, to 4th highest dps in the game :P. Can still beat monks.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands

Posted in: Demon Hunter: The DreadlandsQuote from RedhoodQuote from RockmanDoomPerhaps, I guess I am just enjoying the slow approach of getting my self to act 3- 4 "legitimately" instead of going for a gimpy glass cannon build. Hey if it lowers the prices of resist gear I guess I support this style of play : p
I love how you pruposefully added that glass cannon is "gimpy" So what you are saying is that my glass cannon 5 NV diablo runs where i die only if theres fast/invul. Is not legitimate? Im pretty sure angels and opressor still one shot you with 1000 resist if you didnt pop shadow power before hand. I rather just kill them in one hit before they are able to charge me off screen. But thats just me. Until we know anything about the damage nerf/hp nerf, resist gear is trash or overpriced. You either cant clear act3/4 because you sacrificed offense for meaningless ability to take 3 hit in act 2 (which drops pure shit) or your gear cost 200 million gold and you die just as much in act 3/4 because you need to preemptivly use shadow power like glass cannon does with smoke screen.
Theres a reason most of the biggest farmer and successful DH go glass cannons. Its because its the most efficient way. Until we know what exactly changes in the next patch. We can still assume its the "easy way". All we know is that hp is getting nerfed and damage. To what degree, we got no idea. For exemple if the hp nerf is bigger then the damage nerf (which could be, because melee problem is not staying alive, its killing monster before they hit enrage/out of hp, if they are built to survive). If the HP nerf is much bigger then the dmg nerf, it would completly give the edge to glass cannon.
Long story short: We cant assume what the nerf looks like yet. Act 2 is easy mode for DH, 500 resist or 40k dps without ss no resist, will get you trough eye closed. 40K dps is easy to do with 500k gold. 500 resist and still having the dps to pass belial, not so much. Act 3/4 500 resist might as well be naked. Unless you spam shadow power at all time, youll die. Just as much as glass cannon die when spamming ss. AKA not alot if you are good, but glass gets the edge by finishing champs fight alot quicker in cheaper gear.
Just to fix something.
Angel charges 3 shot you.
Oppressors 1 shot everyone, unless you are massively geared tank. (Charge)
Currently sitting at:
DPS: 72 / 225k
You are correct about some things. Like the fact that building resistances before you have a good glass cannon spec is a terrible idea. Doing so will pretty much stunt your progress, and make your life miserable. Also trying to build survivability without dps is also pointless.
PS: I love to watch those awesome glass cannon streams in my free time. 355k DPS DH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! About 50% of the streams are spent in that awesome red screen that says: YOU HAVE DIED. YOUR ITEMS HAVE LOST 10% DURABILITY, with Revive at last checkpoint grayed out.

Yeah, act 1 is terrible to farm If you are farming it past the first week for release, you are doing it wrong :(. Stuff that dropped in act 1 sold maybe for the first 2 weeks at best. Not saying it's easy for a barb :(.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands

Posted in: Demon Hunter: The DreadlandsQuote from KodaijinHis damage is so high because his APS is really high for a 2h weapon, but the damage calculation is also being raised by his crit damage.
~cries~ anything I try to do means 45-100million gold. It just blows my mind how fast and lucky some of you guys got with drops. I have 200k kills (10k elite) and I've only ever gotten one legendary witch was so low level that I still have it because it's worth nothing Even if I did manage to sell it for low end (maybe 100k) that wouldn't even get one good armor item.
You sir are extremely unlucky. What in the world are you farming?
I'm at 10183 Elite Kills. But most of them are Act 3 Kills.
