posted a message on Hunter's Wrath work for Wizard?

I have a question for hyne - which was mentioned above. Why on earth would you be condescending to someone who made a good faith attempt to give you an answer to a question.

We see so many trolls and, lets face it, jerks on the internet in general. When someone goes out of their way to at least attempt to give you their insight as to an answer, why attack them for not being correct?

Is your time so valuable that you have to insult someone for trying to help you because - what, they have wasted your valuable time? I'm not trying to start some online argument or anything with you, because frankly, I dont care enough about you to do so. I'm only asking because maybe - when other people come across this, they can try to remember to be civil to each other.

This is a forum dedicated to a computer game. We as a community should perhaps be reminded of that.... this is an escape from reality. Why you choose to bring hostility here is puzzling. Is your life that terrible that you have to be mean to strangers online?

The irony of all of this, of course, is that QUICKK was correct in the end. It only does work for DH's. Have a wonderful day - i hope you bring that ray of sunshine attitude to everyone around you in your real life.

posted a message on Do's and Donts of Powerleveling

Hey all - just wanted to write a quick guide for powerleveling. I'm on NA servers, ysoserious#1178, and just to put my advice in context - i'm fairly certain i've powerleveled more people than anybody in this game - so I at least have a vague idea of what i'm talking about :)

remember - pl'vers dont gain anything from helping. the 'strength in numbers' buff can be better served with people who are able to kill things.

    Dos:

    • join the poweleveling communities for help. dont bother asking in gen chat - its a waste - as are most things in there.
    • know the lingo: LFC = looking for clearer; LFL = looking for leech; LFTSF = looking for taylor swift fan
    • SAY PLEASE. people helping generally dont care how you ask - as long as you are polite about it
    • If you are a higher level player - bring along a gem of ease. it only takes about 30 minutes to get one of those to lvl 25.
    • help the noobs in your game, so the pleveler doesnt have to. more time talking = less time killing
    • pay it forward when you can
    • bounties - stay close enough to get exp
    • rifts - stay on the same floor - (its your job to pay attention to what floor they are on)
    • non-clan; low paragon's usually get priority - but of course anyone can get help as long as they are nice about it.
    • Be Nice -- I have helped countless people gear up their toons - but I (and other people I assume) will only help if you are genuinely grateful for the assistance.

    Dont

    • ask for free stuff - its annoying; and we are probably going to drop what we dont need anyway
    • stay in the game after you hit lvl 70 (after the rift finishes) - without asking. you might be taking someone elses spot. This is especially true if you are already paragon 150+.. your in a powerleveling game, not a gearing game - unless you ask of course
    • close rifts without asking
    • engage goblins
    • complain about the route / method for powerleveling. also keep in mind - while it is more efficient to have the game on the level of the person being powerleveled, the drops will be of that level too. most of the time people simply carry others in t6(70) games
    • go afk - free up the spot if you got stuff to do.
    • leave the game without saying thank you (my personal biggest issue with people)

that's all for now. feel free to add to this list if you'd like.

and as always - you can add me in game - ysoserious#1178, north american servers, mainly seasons - i'm always happy to help if i can.

posted a message on Running out of things to do
i switch it up - i do bounties, t6 regular rifts to help new players gear up, uber runs to stock up on key parts to make ancient hellfires, grifts (my goal is to get lvl 40 gems for my alts and lvl 50 gems for my main toons), and powerleveling which is surprisingly fun. i play 4 out of 6 classes so i rotate between them to prevent the game from getting boring - and unlike a lot of people that i've heard complaining - i find the game to still be highly entertaining. oh dont forget to troll gen chat - that is always a fun past time in between runs.
