The maps shown do seem a little small to me for the largest hub of civilization in Sanctuary. Of course, they look to be preliminary sketches so i'm hopeful it will be bigger in game. That aside, the graphics look great and give a very ominous feel. Cant wait to see some HD video!
I too believe they will announce the upcoming Beta at Blizzcon. As for PvP, its possible. But, I am VERY cautious about them adding it all. So, we will see.
Getting very excited here. :Thumbs Up: -

I have a friend that still hasn't finished Diablo 3 normal (he plans to do so the next holydays) that gets VERY angry with all kinds of spoilers. So, yes that spoiler alert is helpful.Quote from Elendiro
Can't believe that there have to be spoiler alerts 1 ½ year after the release of Diablo 3...
Sorry, but your friend is an asshole. Getting outraged at other people because of his own decisions is pretty silly. Spoiler warnings I can understand for the first few days, anything after that is not warranted, though of course there's nothing wrong with having them if they want to.

The problem with the AH was it turned the game into one where you play for the slim chance to get a drop good enough not to use on your own character, but to sell on the AH. Every piece of gear I have is from the AH. Because the drops suck, period. Itemization has been trash since day one. Instead of playing the game to improve my toons and experience the thrill of getting that awesome legendary or set piece, I play, praying that I get something that might sell on the AH so I can buy that better piece. I have over 400+ hours in game and in that time the number of legendaries I have seen could be counted on my hands. I have NEVER seen a set piece drop. Hell, the only piece I have that wasnt bought off the AH is my damn Hellfire rings. Loot 2.0 will fix that.
Everything announced since Gamescon has proven that the Diablo team is listening to the true gamer base out there. They are owning up to their mistakes, and saying, " Hey, we tried different things, they didnt work, so we are going back to what did!"
To those complaining that it will drive people to use 3rd party sites, you do understand the new loot system is meant to restore item balance to the point where you shouldnt feel the need to go to them. And FYI, using those sites are a CHOICE you make.If you do and get your account hacked, or your credit card info stolen, or your bank emptied, thats on you.
I am glad to see the team returning to the roots that made the Diablo franchise one of the greatest franchises of all time.

I had to laugh at people spending 35k and up on white items on the AH. Common debris is so damn easy to get. I have 4k saved up for gearing my Crusader, and then a Wizard while they are leveling.

Hate to admit it, But I averaged 5 Legs per hour. And the XP isn't terrible to boot.

Ladders? Meh. I don't really care for them one way or the other. As long as it has NO effect on people who don't play them, I don't see the harm.
PvP. I honestly don't think PvP will ever make it into D3. It's to messy and to hard to balance. Something Blizzard learned the hard way with WoW. But who knows, Blizz has surprised me before.

WIll try this out on my DH. My gear has a lot of bonus to RoV so it should fit well.

"First : legendaries : It's raining them now, great. They are still bloody useless though. I just hope that that will improve when we get the new legendaries. But the ones dropping right now are as useless as they were before loot 2.0."
This is a VERY subjective statement my friend. Maybe to you, they arent upgrades. But, you are not the only person playing this game. There are MANY others who most likely arent geared to the damn teeth with the best items money can buy.
"Rares : well great, now rares almost always have the main stat i need and also a 200+ vitality roll added to it. The vast majority of it is still just for disenchanting though. Yes, the rares are more tailored towards your class. But they still suck. If you have 200+ of main stat and vit, you can be pretty sure that it will neither have all resist nor any damage stats."
Who told you rares were supposed to be top end gear, huh? They aren't. Rares get you through till you get Legs. Period. After that, they are for crafting/selling. BTW, some of those rare items that aren't upgrades for my toon, are great for my followers. Beating most of what you could find pre 2.0 on the AH.
"So all in all I have not found one single item so far that was a slight upgrade over the items that I was able to buy in the Ah ( like back in november ) for a few millions. I just disenchant more items with the proper main stat now."
PLEASE, point me to a Blizzard post that stated every item would be an upgrade for every player out there. ( I wont hold my breath waiting) I must admit I find this statement rather amusing. Considering there are players out there who stream quite often and have THOUSANDS of hours in game who seem to find upgrades. Hmmm.......
"Things will not get much better after RoS hits either. There will be a little run while leveling, and then you will find some quick updates at 70, but i give it a week or two at max before we are in the same position again, that we have tons of drops and none are upgrades. At least back with the AH you could turn all this mediocre gear into some gold and buy an upgrade every now and then. Now we are just at the absolute mercy of the RNG gods"
This is the defining statement of your post. It tells me everything I need to know. You are an AH baby. You were raised on it. You would rather spend cash then time and effort to get your gear. Well, I would recommend you find another game. D3 is going back to what made it great. Self find. You are going to have to work for your gear now. Just like in D2. If this doesn't sit well with you, again I SINCERELY suggest you find your gaming fixes elsewhere. You wont be happy in D3 anymore.
