Although I agree with you, I do see some method to the madness. I ran with sacrifice for a bit earlier today to try it out. First off, 4 dogs all going boom at 275% weapon dmg can be a HUGE nuke, which is good. but since they sacrifice all the current dogs that are on the field, you have to look at your summon dog timer as the true sacrifice timer. when you have four dogs up, dont sacrifice untill the summon timer is up, that way you will keep all four going all the time.Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura
Secondly, as the poster above said the rebirth rune adds a lot to the skill. 35% procs surprisingly often, I would have runs where I would run into a group of elites, I would sacrifice all 4 dogs, 3 would come back up, sacrifice, then 2, sacrifice, 2 again, sacrifice, then 1 sacrifice and would finally be out. But since I made sure the summon was of CD I could bring all 4 right back up. But you are also correct that it is a very RNG based skill which is why ultimately I don't like it.
Lastly, the passive that has a 5% chance to summon a dog upon the death of an enemy also has a range on it which means you have to be in close when enemies die to even have the 5% chance. its a crappy passive and will have no place in anything beyond normal mode I'm sure.

I'll see you back here in 15 years when diablo 4 comes out and you are complaining about how its not anywhere nearly as good as D3 was. Funny thing nostalgia.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Just wanted to start a thread where us Witch doctors can share our successes and or failures thus far while leveling.Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura
Currently I'm 28 and my build is as thus:
Been fooling around with all the skills as I ma sure everyone is, but Im destroying the fastest currently with this. I know its only normal and things will change.
But Bad medicine is working well with my mouse skills to keep dmg down while gargantuan acts as my meat shield. Grasp with the extra slow and acid clouds extended range allows for me to lay down some massive aoe with that a spider queen. with 3 seccond splinter dart fillers to let acid clouds dot tick off.
Not really looking for critiques, jsut wanted to share and maybe hear about what some other people are finding success with as they push to 60.
TL:DR, the servers are down, so this is blah blah blah

I don't particularly like Athene or anything his subordinates do but here is a stream that is following an EU WD for those us waiting eagerly to get into the game!Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura

So I have decided I will be rolling WD, have been following the forum for a while trying to soak up as much info as possible, im really excited and cant wait.Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura
My concern is I will be playing mostyl co-op with a buddy who spent some time in the beta. His concern is with our comp of WD, barb he will be out pacing me. in comparision to all the other classes WD seem to have the worst mobility. Barbs with frenzy and leap, DH can vault, Wizards obvisouly have Tele (Especially tele + worm hole) and monks have some skills that have built in tele mechanics.
Am I wrong here? or will WD's be slow as heck? is thier only mobility going to be coming from items with + run speed? or will the WD always be last to the fight during CO-OP play, constantly asking thier other teammates to wait up?
