posted a message on So now 'Depth Diggers' are useless for wizards?
    Quote from DGen

I wish I could be on the D3 development team. Must be incredibly easy to outperform the current team, just read a bit of the hundreds of suggestions that the playerbase provide you, apply some common sense thinking + PTR testing to see how each class performs, make a few adjustments, done.
What you don't realize is the dev team is probably split up into several depts who all read forums and all have aspirations of making positive changes for the game and get paid like shit but they are young with a passion and think they're ideas will matter. The suggestions are made and reviewed by a sub-dept lead, who decides if the change is reasonable, if its easily implemented, and how it will affect the balance of the pre-existing spells, classes, items, and other changes already in the pipeline. Chances are the idea is changed, tweaked, reworked to fit the parameters better and make the changes look like it was the leads idea from beginning.

If approved it Probably gets passed onto a dept supervisor who has to review the change in the context of the other depts, i.e.: coding, animation, internal testing. The idea is probably put into a larger pile of other possible ideas from other leads all of which need to be considered and thought out, and then get tweaked, reworked and redesigned to fit this new set of needs. If the idea is looked upon favourably still, it probably gets put into a whole category of other favourable changes all of which need to go through a final stage of approval, which is more criticism, changes and tweaks and probably looked at by people who only control the money and have no artistic or programming background making changes that aren't logical to anyone else but themselves, before it gets officially put into the pipeline of all the depts that need to handle it.

At this point there is no return and everything done with the idea will cost money and more importantly time. You might be thinking, "Blizz is crazy rich why don't they throw a bunch of money at it, and if time is so valuable hire more people.", while in theory this is possible, they are a business, and the people at the top only care about money, and making the people at the very tip top even more money. Which means every dept has deadlines and quotas to hit with producers pushing the talent to work faster and cheaper so they don't have to spend a penny more then they have to.

What majority of these super huge companies end up with is the "Too many cooks in kitchen" problem, where your beautifully simple idea that everyone would consider a great positive game change comes out the other end of the pipeline as a ground up, abused, mutant pile of an abortion, with a faint heartbeat that begs you to kill it because of the pain its in. But the time and money has already been spent so.... INTO THE GAME YOU GO>!

posted a message on What should I reroll on this Fate of the Fell? Or....
Socket obviously is a must, but for this specific weapon to use it properly CDR is also a must. the 1K vit is great but can made up on other pieces. We obviously don't know the drop chance of R-gift yet but if this was my weapon considering your gear I would leave it as is because you don't need the CDR until you have 6 bonus akkhan, so the socket will do you more good. When the patch drops you will find out how accessible a R-gift is. If you can get one, reroll the socket to CDR then add the socket back with R-gift. If you are properly geared by then and find that R-gift's are too hard to come by you could reroll out of vit to CDR.

    Quote from Undrtaker
Haven't had a chance to watch thew video yet, but wondering, is a Holy Shotgun build relevant without a FotF or is it mandatory to make the build useful
Its mandatory and the reason its called the shotgun build is because when you fire it at something at point blank range it f*cks sh*t up. The reason for this is the blast emanates from a point in front of you, with FoTF it adds two extra blasts that emanate from the same starting point but fork out in different directions. The strength is each blast can land on a single target from point blank range, which is why its so shitty in solo play and so incredibly strong with a pull monk, the next best options being wd and piranha's or a wiz and BH. When stacking the blasts on a single target when they all crit the attack becomes a spammable nuke doing in the hundreds of millions of dmg. However, IMO the build also requires the 6set bonus form akkahns to have the build truly work. a FotF isn't enough because of wrath starvation.

In fact for bis I would opt for having 1 of each immunity neck and switch between them.
Dear god I hope you're wrong, nothing is more annoying then having to item swap. It drives me nuts right now and I only swap out for arcane immunity and shrine elites. If to survive in end game you have to carry a inventory half full of "situational gear" and switch a bunch of stuff out depending on the incoming monster pack that would be something that just might make me quit.

posted a message on (PTR) Legendary GEM.
Yah next patch for sure people will be seeking those 5 affix legendary jewelry, but no one is going to wait around to use the legendary gems, something will be saraficed to get the new gems into jewellery.

Also, I'm not saying sheet dps is good, obviously the bonsu elite dmg and ele dmg mucks the whole the thing right up. the only ppl that need the sheet dps are ppl levelling, if you're at 70 its pretty useless, and its totally pathetic that ppl have to go to 3rd party websites to find out what their potential dps is with ele, and elite. But there are clearly bigger problems in the game that should be addressed first. My point was simply that the gems will only increase the margin of confusion of your dps in contrast to your actual damage capability.

I back the idea of having a gem sink in the game. I don't think any of the purposed ideas would work though.

Not to mention if you are using trifecta plus main stat jewelry you are reforging one of those dmg boosting stats for the socket, although the gems give you cool affixes you're sheet dps is going to fall.

posted a message on End Game T6 WoW group Guide
I don't like Wizards, just not my cup of tea, yet I read your whole post, not even knowing wtf a WoW was (I know now its Wand of Woe, or something) in hopes that I would come across an explanation for why in the world you would name the build "the lobster shuffle" alas there was no explanation. As far I can tell you would want ppl to play your build but the name of it is the opposite of enticing. Its like naming a ferrari "fluffy kitty farts" and hoping ppl will still drive it. I mean, if its a ferrari sure ill drive it, but I wouldn't be proud to own a 'fluffy kitty farts'.

    just saying.

    Hello all!

I received a Fate of the Fell from Kadala the other day after having a long dry spell, and now I feel like I'm starting from scratch. I was running a somewhat successful lightning build able to do T4 solo but had some trouble online with him at times. After receiving the Fate, I've been moving equipment around and trying to find a good build with this item to maybe move up to T5. I have equipped an Eberli Charo, but also have a fairly decent Hellskull. I feel like I need the Charo because of very low cooldown. I could switch crit dmg to cooldown, but I think that'd hamper my 1/10 ratio quite a bit. I may have some other equipment to help optimize him in my stash, but get a little overwhelmed trying to figure out what to look for and equip. Looking for any suggestions you might have!

    Thank you for your help!
Well I think the obvious option with a FoTF is to do a holy shotgun build, and although FoTF is the must have weapon for the build it also requires Holy els stacking and a 6set Akkhan (or 5 set with RoRG) because of the reduced resource cost and the wrath regen bump required to spam HF. If the FoTF doesn't have CDR you would need to reroll it to have it because in my experience getting AC to have 100% uptime requires you to have CDR on pretty close to every piece of gear that can possible have it.

That being said I am unaware of any lightning builds that take advantage of FoTF.

Its a new feature, which is cool. These games need constant content updates to stay fresh. Not first addressing aspects of the game that suck, such has emeralds being the only choice for weapon sockets, or sockets being mandatory on any decent weapon, not cool.

posted a message on Adding Super powered Legendaries (Your thoughts)
There needs to be more items that are capable of taking the worst skills in the game and making them viable, rather then finding most of the uninspired junk that drops right now. Example, I found a belt, it's legendary unique ability is that it casts haunt at 5 enemies when you open a chest, WHO THE FUCK CARES!
