Because on the DH side, the game is about as appealing as choosing poop or poop.
Sadly, it feels this way to me, too. As soon as this game was released and everyone had a chance to play with all the skills, it became abundantly clear how awesome EA is compared to every single other hatred spender for reasons that you already described. Until there are more "balance" changes, I don't see any better option than EA with BL now.

Who cares what kind of game it is when you get right down to it? If it's a well designed game, it's fun to play. If it's not, the interest will decline. Mediocre games are mediocre.
I thought he was one of the most badass characters in the story, so I was actually kinda disappointed to see him go. Imperius was badass in his own way, too, but he was more of a jerk than Kulle ever was. He's a character that you want to see get his comeuppance, even though he's technically "good."

Azmodan run (I think) is starting on the last quest in Act III, taking the WP to Core of Arreat and either ignoring completely every group up to Azmodan and then killing him, or fighting your way through them along the way. After you beat Az, you get the quest complete with a bunch of gold, head back to Bastion's Keep and finish the act with another quest completely for additional gold for free. Personally, I've been doing this for a few days, and it's not a bad way to bring in money and loot at the same time.
They don't start dropping until NM, and they are fairly common at that. However, the BS and JC are both going to require a TON of pages in order to train new items AND to just to actually craft some of them, too.
I just beat Belial on normal with my barbarian. I kinda wasn't expecting it to be a multiple phase fight the first time, so I blew Earthquake after the initial wave of snake-things, and I was too shocked and awestruck to pay attention after that. Then it took me three attempts, and some skill switching to finish the fight.
That was the first moment in the game that I said "holy hell, that was unexpectedly awesome." I hope there is plenty more of that yet
I thought those Unburied Nightmarish champions in the Beta were scary. Then there was a whole gauntlet of pain past that barricade in Act I with multiple champion groups that took repeated attempts to make it through solo. Maybe I just suck, but I thought that was legitimately challenging. I loved it

I was almost to the end of Act I with a friend, got the Error 37 message, got booted, and I'm seeing all of them when I login. I got 37, 75, 3003, 3004, whatever you got.
It's silly to pretend like this game was released today, because it won't be playable for a week.
Well, I'm not at work, but I do have a couple finals today yet. I also got up around 4am to play for a few hours before having to leave. Made it all the way through the SK, and then my internet took a shit for the next hour.
Now I'm waiting for these finals to be done...urgh
