All the legendary upgrades are super expansive, and takes incredible amount of farming to afford.
Once I realized it would be much easier to obtain the same items in a few weeks, I stopped playing.
I'll come back to grind out rest of plvl eventually, before pvp. Sell all the things I had stocked up, get the new uniques with perfect stats, etc... but truth be told, the fact everyone will be sporting the same gear kinda puts me off. If gear were the same, then there are far better games than D3...
Ya, I got to lvl20 without using MF (except 1 of the levels and I thought it was way too slow) and got a bunch of new legendaries.
GIven most of them were trash, there was a new set fist that sold for 80m, and a lacuni with resist that sold for 40m. A new Nat piece that's still on AH and a sever, but the sever kinda came late and now they aren't worth much.
so I switched to 225 mf (300 after NV) from level 20 onward, and 2 levels so far (4 clears) I've gotten 2 legendaries, one of them is a decent vile ward and should sell for a bit.
I don't consider myself lucky since I have not gotten any of those high ticket items. One of those worth more than 10 crappy uniques.
It makes me wonder though. If everybody will be using the same thing, then why the hell am I playing this game instead of GW2?

that's 8 clear per lvl63 unique, way below average.

You're really getting 1 ilvl 63 legendary per 4 clears without MF? So, averaging, what, one legendary (of any ilvl) per clear, or even more, with no MF?
Makes me feel a bit unlucky to only have 3 legendaries of any ilvl after roughly 200 hours of play without MF. Unless there has been an absolutely enormous stealth buff to drop rates.

lvl21-22 about 2 hours (1 and half A3 clear). I leveled 18-19 with a WW barb that does 80k dps unbuffed, and we ended up spending almost 2 hours to clear A3 once.
even horrible rolls. a deadman's legacy with just max disc roll (regardless what skill and attack speed) easily 80m+. Lacuni prowlers, resist all or crit make you 20m. having both 100m. both with a stat or two, umm, 500m? WTF
normally people tell u there are supply and demand pulls... Does everybody have 100s of mil to blow?
I don't understand how is there so much demand pulling...
The rarity, umm, let me make an example.
Old nat boots, 1 random mod, best pair cost upward of 20m, worst pair mil or 2.
New inna pants and belt, samething, 1 random mod, probably equal rarity, 100m for a good roll?
So I'm wondering if those gotten well rolled lvl63 set or uniques and priced them according to the AH actually made sales.
Also, out of curiosity, what are you guys doing with your hundreds of mil jackpot gold? Buying other new items or banking it?
he's about 1/4 to 100 btw (in total xp). So by end of sept he'd definitely be 100. That's over 50 lvl63 legendaries he'd miss grinding lower acts though, more than billion or 2 gold.
