Hey guys. this has been extremely successful for me so I thought I'd share. I'm sure lots of you have seen many different tank builds similar to this, or other variations, but this one has been extremely successful for me as I cannot remember the last time I died or had to run away from any elites (including inferno acts 3 and 4). Check out my guide, It's fast paced and not a long vid. Feedback on here would be awesome! CHeers guys

Nemsai posted a message on Diablo 3's inflation + some thoughtsI totally understand what you mean. Personnaly my softcore monk is in the poor bracket, which sucks because I have a life and wasn't able to use the gold exploits early on, but I switched to H/C (Softcore was just to know what was inferno) and on then I was like Allelujah!! On H/C the economy seems alot more stable, items from hell and inferno are worth alot and their is not a shit load of the same godly items.. Shure their is still the rich and the poor but thats just normal. On H/C it feels like the economy is much more stable and not broken. But thats just my point of view.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion -

LDVinci posted a message on Players quitting after 1.0.31.0.3 hit me just like most of the community. I didnt like it very much because it had more nerfs than buffs (I think i can count the number of buffs on one hand). Of course, when you make changes there are always cry babys talking about quitting because things aren't going the way they planned. If quitting is your ultimatum then there is no stopping you, but I implore you gamers to try something new. Stop being so stubborn.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Diablo was never about 1 class/build fits all. Diablo was never about stacking a single attribute or looking for that "end game" item where everyone will eventually be wearing the exact same thing. Diablo has always been a reap-what-you-sow game and ultimately it all comes down to either time or luck. 1.0.3 balanced the game. That's right, no more belial power leveling, goblin hunting, botting, and stacking. "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!" If it wasn't for this patch, I would still be running a glass cannon DH with 12k HP, stacking everything into DEX and Atack Speed. If I were stubborn I would have probably quit as well, but we are humans. Humans learn to adapt to challenges, work around obsticles. If we didn't have that in our genes we would have died along with the dinosaurs.
Fellow gamers, open your eyes throw away your stubborness. Stop stacking attack speed (ridiculously over priced) and single attributes. This is not a one build game, play around with the thousands of possible combination of builds and gears available. Read the class forums and try out other peoples suggestions. ADAPT. Find your own builds to post! THIS is the fun that Diablo was designed upon.
I for one, am no longer "kiting" packs with the fear that even a droplet of elite sweat could kill my frail glass canon DH. Instead, I can now stand and tank them. Now there are much more possibilities to try.
Have fun -

Nensec posted a message on ERR37 - The D3 All-In-One Calculator (v0.4c)Hey there Fans of Diablo!Posted in: Theorycrafting and Analysis
As some people roaming the official DH forums might have seen already there is a project running to create the ultimate user-friendly D3 calculator. We have named this calculator in honor of our good friend: ERR37.
It is currently very much a work in progress, slowly building it up piece by piece. But we are getting there, having most basic implementations in there. These currently include:- Basic damage calculation for Demon Hunter ( including archery, sharpshooter and steady aim )
- Adding items to a character, building them up stat by stat ( not all stats implemented yet )
- Saving and Loading of characters
- A seperated calcuator from the main application, allowing us to develop a Silverlight and possible a Mono for Android version in the future
You can download the latest version here by clicking this shiny yellow link!
Changes that include in this version:- a. Fixed saving issue
- b. Fixed calculation error
- c. Fixed IAS from the Enchantress not working
- Passive Skill damage modifiers implemented for all classes
- Follower Buff support, for when you run with your Scoundrel or Enchantress
- Dual Wield support
- Better error handling Should you run into an exception, you have the option to send us a report of the error.
- A lot of UI changes, though minor, that should make handling the application easier
- We have an icon!
This report includes data from the application namely:
The exception message.
Stacktrace of the exception.
Character data that you were working with.
Possible extra notes that the user would give us about what he was doing.
- You will be unable to load in save files from 0.3 without manually editing the save file! If you want to do this you can do the following: Open the .e37 save file with notepad
Find the line where it says"$type": "System.Collections.ObjectModel.Collection`1[[DataContracts.Items.Item, DataContracts]], mscorlib",
and change it with:"$type": "System.Collections.ObjectModel.Collection`1[[DataContracts.Items.IItem, DataContracts]], mscorlib",
next for every item you wear you need to change every line where it says"$type": "DataContracts.Items.Item, DataContracts",
to this"$type": "DataContracts.Items.Armor, DataContracts",
Save the file and you should now be able to load it just fine in 0.4+.
- You can select any weapon as your dual wield target.
- You are not limited to 3 passive skills for your character
- Entering a % value for stats that use % the value turns into x.xx format whilst non % values do not.
- Character class and weapon type combobox lists are not localized yet and show enum values instead more human readable strings.
As always, should you have a suggestion or want to manually report an issue post it here.
-------------------------------
You can find our project, and the source for it aswell, over at our Google Code page. You are very much free to grab the source and mess around with it. Even better if you wish to contribute to the project, we are always on the lookout for help from other devs.
The project is currently maintained by:- Nensec
- pdluke
- Dretar, our math genius
- Cronos
The application is written in C#. The current front end of the application is done in WPF. The Calculator itself is a class library with a Portable Class Library to communicate in between. This iwll allow us to add Silverlight and Mono for Android, any other .net front end to the calculator using the same code. The WPF client is using the Caliburn.Micro framework in conjuction with Ninject. -

Benegesserit posted a message on Patch 1.0.3 PreviewBuff ilvl61+ drop rate OR nerf Inferno ActII+Posted in: News & Announcements
NOT both.
This two-pronged approach is going to be overkill. The whole reason ActII and up is insanely OP is because you currently CAN'T get the gear you need in Act I to reasonably progress in Act II. With the item drop change we'd be able to do that w/o you needing to nerf anything in Inferno. Conversely (but not as fun imo) would be to simply nerf Act II and up and leave drop rates where they are.
The problem is that they are responding with every reasonable solution to the same problem instead of just focusing on one at a time and see how well that works in the wild (not their insanely limited internal pool of players). -

Come on, man, don't do that. You asked for people's opinions. I gave you mine. Now you're basically telling me that my opinion is wrong because it doesn't match your opinion. WTF is that? I think you should lookup the word "opinion" (it's linked with the word "subjective") in some dictionary, because you clearly miss the whole point of it.Quote from DousheWell it's obviously not fine. I hate to play the nostalgia card, but i found D2 to be hard aswell. I never got bored of it. The fact that so many people are getting bored of the kiting playstyle really isn't a good indicator of good game design, or is it? Because there definately are better ways of designing challenging and rewarding gameplay, making every attack a onehit really isn't proper design. Neither does it warrant it the challenging and exciting gameplay Blizzard promised they'd deliver. Players are supposed to be powerful and engaging superheroes, smashing and demolishing monsters. The current 'trololololo you're never going to catch me while i slowly chip away your HP over the next five minutes' gameplay doesn't really give me that feeling.
I never really said that there isn't any diversity. There is ofcourse. But the fact that what, 80% of all wizard passives are terrible, and plenty of active skills feel so situational and underpowered that they don't deserve a spot on your skillbar.
For instance, have you ever used Meteor? All that i want to get across is that in order to achieve a lot of diversity in difficulty level that require maximum efficiency, wouldn't it make sense that all spells were at least somewhat efficient?
If you only created this topic to rant about D3 Inferno and argue with those who like the game, I'll pass, thanks. -

irrenicus84 posted a message on 99% invincible Mage need your test here!Hi all,Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
As we all know, a naked wiz has 1500HP at lvl60 and force armor will reduce all dmg to 35%.
So this is the trick, we don't wear any VAT increase gear, we invest all buffs from gear on Attack power.
In inferno mode a zombie will cause 18000 dmg per hit, no matter how high the dmg you take, you will survive 2 hits and lose 70% of your HP (1050 points).
OK, now here is a IMBA gem which will heal your 600 points on each hit.
http://us.battle.net...t-star-amethyst
Here is the build
http://us.battle.net...QPOj!Xdf!YaZbYb
With armor passive you reg 310 life per sec.
With the guardian pet you can survive one more hit every 6 secs when you at 30% HP.
With the illusionist passive you get one hit you can teleport away and cast mirror image.
The image will cause area stun and give you more time to recover lost HP.
My question is how could you get killed? -
