    Depends on what he is doing. If you're just paragon farming there is pretty much always the option to just drag the mobs into more mobs so it doesn't matter so much. Even key farming can work this way if you're willing to kite the keywardens all over their respective zones as the hordes die off. Would not use it for ubers though.

    doable doesnt mean its efficient, dragging mobs along with you for the ride just so you get more mobs to get more ap isnt really the best idea for anything... youll die more, just get another source of APOC, even if you get lower paper sheet DPS, your real dps will be way higher in most situations.

    you dont need a full 9, a 7 is plenty, trust me I roll over 2.73 as bp for quite a while now and have tried it with different set ups, that formula does not take into account explosion blast, frost nova, and diamond shards, all of those can crit and give you more arcane power back(not to mention frost nova and diamonds shards are free to cast).

    time warp does account for more damage than stretch time, but the reason why many people use stretch time is get to the next breakpoint in attack speep which means more CM procs, hence more spells spamming, a better freeze as well. Id say go for at least 2.5 as, 45% crit, 20 apoc. The more of those you get the easier it will be ofc, it was very noticeable for me when I upgraded a few pieces here and there, specially since Ive been playing this spec for a long time now, always noticing patch impact on the build.

    for MP10 I think its a bit silly, Ive heard of people(with lots of mitigation) who tried to run shocking aspect in MP10, they were getting one shotted in many instances, so force armor is probably better, also shocking aspect wont proc as much with WW(12,5% proc rate) as it does with SC on live(50% proc rate), so shocking aspect wont deal as much damage unless you have the likes of 3.0 Attack speed or higher, in which case I doubt youll have enough mitigation to run around in MP10 with storm armor....

    attack speed affects directly DoT from twisters, that is why everyone thinking about running ww/cm on 1.05 is aiming at the stars with their attack speed, this is not just me talking but several people who tried it on ptr.

    This video was made on the PTR last night, so after the meteor coefficient nerf. The signature spells are all incredibly weak, including spectral blades which has an awful casting animation. Last night post-nerf I tried WW, star pact, and liquify and felt like I was getting the most from starpact, but this was with only 17 APOC (source + helm). With another 10 APOC liquify might pass star pact, but I need to find a weapon with APOC and lifesteal in order to try it.

    On that note, I tried stacking life on hit but found it vastly inferior to using lifesteal, which is why I was also using the blood magic rune (for 4.2% total lifesteal) instead of a slowtime rune. Slowtime might be better though for more DPS if I had better defensive gear.

    slow time is also great against pesky ranged packs, but mortars will murder you(dont know when theyll fix this...), If u already have life steal on weapon I dont think u need the ls from blood magic(especially with a high dps), slow time gives you more flexibility for high MP levels imo.

    This is true, but I think the build is still workable. Here's a post nerf video:


    Gear and spec at the end. The gear is not optimal, so I think with slightly better gear it will still work fine for ubers.

    Nerfed to the ground. Sure u can semi stun lock mobs if u have over 2 as and 50% crit, along with 25+ apoc, but the dps is a joke now in the ptr because the procs went to teh ground, therefore shocking aspect is a lot weaker. It will be used as a support char in coop with other super high DPS chars for MP10 key hunting imo, everything else at lower levels an archon spec will out perform by very large margin....

    As things are being posted, If you want to play the default difficulty, then you can still do things with ease with cm... the problem is how hard will the mobs hit if you apply a certain number to the /player difficulty.

    And about the Purgatorium, it seems to be the same bosses, same mechanics, way more damage.

    I hope to see a challenge again in the game, but I don't want to feel cheated with the current nerfs...

    no it wont be the same thing, people are saying storm chaser will get a lower proc coeff. since the actual 50% is pretty nuts... try and play with wicked wind and tell me what you think...

    It rly depends on what build you want it for. If its for cm wizzies, the chantodos set is the best hands down because of that massive attack speed bonus(dont forget the off hadn also adds ias). For other builds, a very high dps black wand coupled with a high roll triumvirate will out dps the chantodos set.
