posted a message on Is Diablo 3 sustainable income? It CAN be!
    Quote from Nudalus

Many people are saying that the RMAH won't be good income, with the wopping 15% (which is fine) cash out fee which isn't that much, and D3 gold going to be selling for $1/1k or less (rough calculations here, if you are expecting a lot for gold, it'll drop quickly like wow gold trend).

So how will you be able to sustain income that way?

ENTER THE BEST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO GAMING SINCE VIDEO GAMES WERE CREATED!

    http://www.twitch.tv/

They offer a partner program where you make money off advertisments. Coming from Starcraft 2, people do make money that way and a very GOOD income for those who are well known. In fact most Pro-SC2-Gamers will tell you that their salary from their team isn't that much, but the money they make from streaming is pretty signifigant.

For more info on their requirements please see: http://www.twitch.tv/partner/signup

So yes, D3 CAN be sustained income, but in technicallity, STREAMING is the sustained income, not the game itself. I for one am going to give it a shot as I am a student, and have nothing else to do this summer as the job market in my field isn't the best for just a summer job.

ahahahah, to make money off streaming man you need to become wildly popular, look at the amount of viewers you need consistently, and i doubt anyone will be making money off streaming d3, sc2 obviously, that's an amazing game to watch. but especially with no pvp, not many people will be watching some dude grind out mobs in d3, at least in my opinion. Either way if you're giving it a shot, you need to advertise your stream and offer something different and new that will make people watch your stream and not the hundreds of other ones there will be...

posted a message on RMAH Fees? What's your opinion? Cast your vote!
    Quote from carlwiliams

The fees are fine imo. The $1 fee on items means the market will not be flooded with medium quality items selling extremely cheap.

it will definitely stop this :). i guess the rmah will be the place to find really good items and everything will appear on the normal ah.

posted a message on Has D3 lost their true diablo fans?
    Quote from carlwiliams

Define a diablo fan, as other posters have said this is a meaningless concept, first time I played d2 was about a year ago and i am just as excited for the diablo 3 launch as anyone else, granted i haven't been waiting as long. I was also a fairly heavy wow player until recently, does that make my opinion any less valid? I think the game will be amazing and all the critics will be silenced after launch, any postulation before then is meaningless.

you didnt even play d1? not reading any of your posts :P

Oh my. I see in this thread a few people who are going to be sad and alone when they're older. :)

Due to my nature as a red panda - I'm not really bothered by it. I'm perfectly happy sitting in my tree-house sipping on some tea while munching on bamboo.

lucky your treehouse has internet connection!
