Since you brought up bears I'd like to mention something about them and let people discuss it.
In this build the 6th skill is the biggest variable I'm sure everyone will agree. Emberos likes dogs to keep his GF at 5 stacks, Projaxs likes his fire dart for killing off the single mobs, etc.
What I found to be the most effective for this last slot is zombie bears. Now I know I know a lot of people hate this skill because of the slow animation and range along with the sometimes stupid path the bears follow. I believe though that if used properly it is the best skill to kill elite packs with, and perhaps even makes MP1 better for someone then MP0 as the hp increase is most noticeable on the elite packs. I found fire darts to be completely unnecessary since AC does more damage and I never have mana issues. While I liked having 5 stacks with GF all the time using Embero's proposed build on elite packs I found myself really relying on sac'ing my dogs to kill them as fast as bears would. The problem with this though is that I found them more annoying then bears can be because I have little control on where the dogs move and who they attack. I found myself waiting for them to get into the proper spot which resulted in the packs taking longer to die than they should.
Now I may be wrong but I believe a lot of the hate that bears get is due to people not using them properly. I apologize if the trick I'm about to explain is common knowledge but I thought I'd share it in case it isn't. Put zombie bears on your right-click skill slot. Go to your interface and map "force move" to your scroll wheel button on your mouse. Then when you come across an elite pack move close to them the alternate pressing the right-click button with the mouse wheel button, always moving towards the elite pack. This "stutter-stepping" technique greatly reduces the short comings involved with zombie bears. Oh and it's important to use the "force move" instead of simply left clicking because when there is high mob density on your screen I'm sure everyone here has experienced the annoying fact that if your mouse cursor is somewhere near a mob, instead of moving you cast whatever is mapped to your left-click. Since the whole point of zombie bears is to be in the middle of a pack of mobs, using "force move" is a must.
Maybe I'm completely out to lunch here and it's simply a matter of me being very proficient with bears but not so much with other skills.
Any ways, I'd like to know what people think, and if you never tried to use bears in that way before then I implore you to try it out!
And to clarify, I only use bears on elite packs as AC is undeniably faster while 1-shotting white mobs.

In regards to generalizations you are generally correct because they can easily come back to bite you in the ass. In the case of exp/loot farming though Projaxs was correct in his generalization in saying his setup is the most efficient as not a single setup out there has shown to be able to compete with the loot and exp/hour. If someone can provide a different setup that provides better numbers I'm sure he will be the first to acknowledge that. I understand not everyone cares what is technically the most efficient and there are other setups out there that are very fun and efficient and people may want to play that way. All the power to them. If you initially posted on this thread because you felt that Projaxs was trying to force people to use his setup then thank you for your constructive post because as you state, there are many other good builds out there. I'm sure he will take your advice into account when he makes future videos. If your goal is to get the most loot and exp/hour though his setup is the best until proven otherwise.Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura
I can't speak for everyone here but I apologize for any rude comments I made towards you it's just that frustration sets in easily when points made seem not to hit home. I'm sure the language barrier is the main issue here so ill try not to get frustrated in the future. Being Canadian myself my second language is French and your English is much better than my French so I shouldn't judge.
I ask that everyone here stop with the trolling as it is derailing an otherwise very informative thread. Please and thanks.

I am not trying to personally attack you here KyKaH, so please give me the same courtesy. I am merely responding to your opinion that Projaxs was wrong in saying farming at lower MPs is the most efficient way to farm exp and items.Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura
I run at MP1 and I have never had under a full stash of yellows after my 9 minute run. I say I average over 30 rares every 9 minutes and a legendary every 2-3 runs so lets say every 20 minutes. On top of this I average around 65mill/hour which is not perfect but decent.
Now, again I'm not attacking you here but with your spec and gear along with the MP you chose to run at, you simply can't compete with these numbers. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that you believe that to be the most efficient you need to have the best gear in terms of ehp and dps, and then go to the highest MP in which that gear allows. This is a great idea for farming hellfire rings and for pwning nubs when pvp finally comes out, but it falls short in regards to items/exp.
To get the most exp and loot/hour you need max movement speed, max mf, max exp bonus, and a build that maxs speed. Obviously, if you put on this gear your ehp and dps will decrease and you won't be able to farm higher MPs anymore. This is why I farm MP1. It is the highest MP I can go in that allows me to kill the fastest in this kind of gear.
I'm not hating on you, I'm happy for you that you can farm MP5 relatively efficiently. I am not telling you what to do, and I am not saying you should AH your gear. As I said it has it's place.
I am merely stating that Projaxs was correct in his video in that farming lower MPs is the best for loot/exp.
Now if you wish to prove me wrong please give me some meaningful numbers that shows your way is better. This means do 10 runs at MP5 and calculate you exp/hour as well as your loot/hour. This means that you do your own arithmetic for once instead of telling others to do it for you. If you simply can't bother to do this, thats fine but I would appreciate that you don't respond with insults as I have provided you with none.

Mine is Amac#1132 on the US server. I'm currently running with the spec Emberos talked about in his video. If I wanted to do MP5 I would obviously switch my spec around and I have high vit/int/all res pants that I would wear too. I'm only wearing inna's for the movement speed combined with the fact that I don't need the defensive stats on pants at MP1.Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura
My guy is by no means godly but I do more dmg than you if we used the same spec, and I have more than enough ehp to farm MP5 comfortably. Oh and I farm rings on MP10 with 3 RL friends.
All this being said, farming loot and exp is much better using AC on MP0-1, but you can be a stubborn mule all you want.

Without anything else 5 stacks of GF would give you 1892 int which for you is 50109.30 dmg. That is pathetically low. I'm not sure what you don't understand about stacking 1 stat is bad.Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura

Do you really not get my point? Its that you chose poorly when itemizing and only getting 18k dmg out of 5 stacks of SH helps to prove that. You should never stack 1 dmg stat to the exclusion of others as you so clearly have done.Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura

... the dmg amount scales with the amount of IAS, CD, and CC you have. Obviously its always 650 int with 5 stacks... This conversation is getting embarrassing. Check that - it got embarrassing a while ago.Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura

5 stacks of SH only gives you 18k dps?! Lol I guess thats what happens when you just stack int...Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura

This is what you remind me of:Quote from KyKaHTune, I'm not talking about bears vs AC in general, I just responded to you comment about damage on profiles. About effectivness exp/hour, I said already I don't care much, it's probably about the same, not much diff, but I get more loot. I don't trust everything I read, I just get more loot on mp5. I don't use AC on mp5 cause bears are just plain better FOR MY SETUP on that level. I get more loot on mp5 using bears than on mp1 using AC. You're trying to prove me wrong by math, but I count things in my stash.
11/28/2012 2:22:06 PM
Please go look up past threads about bears vs AC. I personally love bears but the range, cast animation speed, and AoE radius are all worse than AC. Bears does have a much higher dmg modifier though but that can be easily made up for by lowering the mp until you 1-shot everything with AC. Once you do that AC has been factually proven to be more efficient in regards to obtaining more exp/hour. Again, Emberos or anyone here can change their spec and farm mp5 like you but there is a reason they don't and believe me it's not out of ignorance.Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura
Oh and I was just joking about my brain, I respect that English isn't your first language, that isn't the beef I have with you on this topic.
Oh and I have a 2.9% ll manjumas that I use so I can and do use bears for key/uber runs. I have tested both and the fact is that AC at mp0-1 is simply much better for exp/hour. I'm not sure why this is even an argument, there is plenty of information easily available that settles this particular dispute.
