posted a message on New Monk Playstyle :) 2h Daibo with max DPS
I gave this build a try... and it is pretty awesome!

Flying Dragon - 1195 dps, crit 124%, 5.30 LL, 7% Wave of Light crit

    S of J - 5% Holy, 1.53 spirit, 23% elite, 6% Wave of Light crit

14 mil spent on those 2 items, and I have already made it back in Legendary drops.

Paragon Level 35 with much worse gear than you have, but I have been farming the "whites" in Crypt of the Ancients at MP-10. I even kill the elite if the afflix's aren't too bad. Overall, much faster than with my Skorn.

The only change I made was using "Explosive Light" rune for the bell, because it clears non-elites faster.

    Thanks for the tip!

posted a message on Your last preparation for tomorrow's patch?
I sold off my 29% Leoric's because running a DPS ring at a higher MP just makes more sense after the changes to exp rates and Demonic Essence drop rates.

I marked all my current auctions down to blowout prices. Hopefully some good drops will come when I'm farming recipes and Demonic's tomorrow.

posted a message on Crafting Ilvl 63 amulets
I made 12 amulets on the test server, this was my highest pure dps of the bunch. It would definitely be an upgrade over what I have now. It cost me 1.2 million to make the 12, because I had the mats. Some of the others had stats like 40+ mf, or 800+ life on hit. If you can make 100 amulets for just 10 - 20 million (depending on your mats), it seems like a good deal to me.

posted a message on Name your top 3 issues with the game
3 suggestions (maybe not my top 3):

    1. A blacksmith that has been raised to level 10 should be able to identify all the items in your bag on sight.

    2. Health potions should be changed to "percentage" instead of a fixed amount.

    3. All act end bosses should drop one rare item of at least level 61 that is class specific to your class, this item also has a chance to be a class specific legendary.

    Quote from Timmylol

I've been watching the leader in paragon leveling and he's only picking up legendaries.

The unique build that he is running on the live stream allows him to keep up the "Wrath of the Berserker" buff for a continuous and unlimited amount of time. He accomplishes this by constantly fighting and gaining Fury, while burning off excess Fury with Rend. If he stops, or the run to the next monster pack is too long, the buff is lost and goes to cooldown.

posted a message on Do lvl 63 legendaries drop in act 2?
    Quote from Curtarc1987

So far I've found 9 legendaries in act 2 but none were lvl 63 or even 62, that's why I am wondering.

For what it is worth, I have been farming act 2 since 1.04 and have found 4 legendary items - 3 level 59's, 1 level 60. There does seem to be a narrow range of expected drops in that act.

I just got my first Jewelcrafting recipe the other day and had no idea that they are colored blue, just like a standard magic item. I wonder how many of those I have left behind because I never even look at blues anymore.

    "Kill fast, Kill often"

Nearly all of the items in this game are crap, so the only way to get more good ones is to sort through a huge amount of them. You will need bags, and bags, and bags of rares to get some valuable stuff. Magic find helps, but not as much as sheer volume of kills. If you watch the good farmers, their feet hardly stop moving forward. Drop down to a lower Act if needed. Only pick up RARE items level 60 or higher, anything else never even gets picked up. Vendor the junk because it's faster than salvaging it.

    Other than that....luck....lots of it...

Clearly the Guild Wars 2 team is using their server power to spam a "Denial of Service" attack on the Diablo system today.

posted a message on Plvl 8, no legends or set drops
I have been speed farming Act 2 with around 315mf (after 5 stacks). Through 4 Paragon levels, I barely got anything worth mentioning, then got an absolutely sick yellow named rare amulet that I sold for $110 into my Paypal after all the fees. All this talk of Legendary items, and a rare got me more money than anything I have sold.

I finally did get a Legendary wand, but it was just a level 59 that sold for 400k.

posted a message on Friends that stopped playing D3, da poll!
I used to play everyday with my brother, but he left and uninstalled the game over a month ago. His 2 complaints:

    1. Never got upgrades from drops, even while farming Inferno acts 1 & 2.
    2. Increased repair costs from patch 1.03 made him lose money by just playing the game in Act 3.

posted a message on Patch 1.0.4 Class Preview: Monk
My prediction for the Witch Doctor class review... they buffed the damage numbers of under used skills and left everything else untouched.

Crazy, I know. I really went out on a limb with that prediction.

posted a message on Patch 1.0.4 Preview: Barbarian
For 1.0.4, we're taking a good look at some of the most unpopular skills for each class, figuring out why they aren't being used in your builds, and then seeing how we can make them better -- either by redesigning how they work or just buffing the hell out of them.

So, in all the examples they give, the fix is just to buff the number values of under used skills. Don't get me wrong, I think this needed to be done, but it could have happened months ago in a simple tuesday patch. I kind of expected something new... maybe Cleave building stacks of a bleed on elites or something. Maybe when the patch notes are released we will see more redesigns and not just buffed values added to existing skills.
