The 4-piece bonus do not enable the Active effects. Only the Passive ones.
I've tested this in game and Active effects appear to work. I have not verified each one, but at a glance, using the Companion skill with 4-piece equipped gave me the 30% damage buff from wolf and 50 Hatred back from the bat at the same time, so I assume they all worked. Have not confirmed Spider slow, Boar taunt or Ferret gold pickup.
So I have a lot of questions about the bonuses for this set. Depending on how they work and synergize with some other pieces of gear, this set could be gamebreaking. Most of the questions I have revolve around the 6-piece Sentry bonus. For reference, the all bonuses are listed as follows:
(2) Set: +500 Dexterity
(4) Set: Companion calls all companion types to your side
(6) Set: Sentries cast your equipped Hatred spenders
Things we know so far:
4-piece bonus enables both Active and Passive effects for all companions
The increased attack speed affix from Tasker and Theo works with Sentries
Questions concerning the 6-piece bonus:
Do the Sentries consume Hatred when casting spenders? (guessing not because Hatred regen would be near impossible to maintain if you had 2/3 Sentries out with heavy-cost spenders such as Cluster Arrow)
If you have more than one Hatred spender equipped, which one do the Sentries cast?
Do both the "Increase Sentry Damage by X%" modifier and the particular Hatred spender damage modifier (e.g. "Increase Cluster Arrow Damage by X%") both apply to 6-piece Sentries?
Had some more and will post them as I think of them. Feel free to chime in if there's something you want to add.
The hot fix is for rifts only. Also there was no change to legendary mat drops. The 15% is the confirmed drop chance. There has been no hotfix for legendary items outside of rifts
[LIVE HOTFIXES]General
There is now an additional bonus 25% chance to find a Legendary item while in a Nephalem Rift.*
Must have done 20+ Maghda runs last night on T3 (Campaign mode). Didn't get a single leg mat to drop. Seems a bit strange to me, seeing as the drop rate for T3 is 15%. Can anyone else confirm lower than expected drops? The only thing I can think of is major bosses might not be classified as "SuperUniques".
Rough estimate of stat weights depending on gear inputs. Weapon "Type" recognizes a value of either "HC", "Crossbow", or "Bow" and will automatically take into account the bonus from Archery and the invisible 15% attack speed bonus from hand crossbows. This does not take into account elemental damage yet but should provide an accurate comparison of other stats. Let me know if you see any issues.
I don't suppose there's a way for us to upload and/or link our Demon Hunter to this?
Not at the moment. Not quite sure how to do that with a Google doc.

Just tried this build. I don't really like it. The AoE from Bombardment is too small to effectively farm large packs. Seems really hard to kite with this build too. I have 188k damage, 945k toughness, 1900 healing and I am dying to Champion packs on T3. I do agree with some of the above posts saying this build is better for group play with some sort of cc.
Very surprised at the XBow answers in this thread. I have been playing around in a spreadsheet with the bonuses you get from Archery and it is quite hard to find a practical stat allocation that shows XBows pulling ahead. For example, at 30% crit chance and 250% crit damage, bows are ahead by a fair margin. If you raise either crit value independently from this baseline, bow dps remains ahead of xbow dps. Only when you have a relatively high crit % chance and relatively low crit damage % do xbows pull ahead.
Furthermore, xbows are slow as ****. Good luck avoiding Belial claw void zones or mortar affix if you're in mid xbow cast. I still have trouble sometimes moving away in time with a bow and 2.7 APS.
Regarding stutter stepping, unless you are playing solo and kiting, I don't think this is an issue. From what I have seen in groups, you need a fast weapon for those "oh crap" moments when you need to stop holding/clicking your mouse button and move away asap. Your ability to do this with slow xbows is severely hampered.
Booo @ PDT US launch. I know blizzard is in California but everyone knows that the US runs on EST if it must make a choice. I think I'm just going to sleep and wake up early morning, waiting until 3 am + server issues won't be fun.
Minor thing but: PDT = MST = Mountain Standard Time =/= PST. EST will go live at 2:01 a.m.
uhh.. 3:01 am
Nevermind, you're right. Edited original post. I'm tired.

This is the change I was referring to. They mentioned it was from a Polish blue post so maybe it hasn't made it to all regions yet?

Edit: didn't mean to imply this was a hotfix. it is a simple confirmation of existing drop rates.

Am I missing something here?
