Does this mean servers will likely be down prior to 00:00 in order to prepare them for it?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

The expansion releases on 25th for both EU and US servers right? Will there be downtime on launch, or at 00:00 on the 25th will the expansion go live?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

This term is really starting to get on my nerves "as intended" I mean god forbid they give players a game where we can experiment and min-max certain parts of the game? Where we can find unique ways of playing that we enjoy outside of what they intend, no no lets all do that 1 run that Blizzard intends for us to do because a unique and diverse game where you min-max certain farming routes, quests and events is wrong...Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I farmed out high diversity zones, cursed chests, reset quests, Mira and I enjoyed it all. Now Mira + Chests are nerfed i've got less things to do and got bored faster. Having a mass of things to do is one thing I loved about Diablo 2, they put what's fun over what they intended and it allowed for so many different things from Mllvl 85 zones, keys, ubers, forge rushes, grushes, baal, chaos, mephy, andy, uber D all viable and all fun but in Diablo 3 they want us all to do the one run they intend for us and well to me that just gets stale.
I've mentioned a comparison before to how they handled the nerfs in Hearthstone, at first there was quite a lot of interesting decks about and yes some of them were OP as hell so every patch Blizzard nerfed a batch of cards and while this did indeed balance the game out it also lead to a point where everyone is just playing the same style, the same cards in every deck because everything else was nerfed to the point where there's no other viable options. I'm not saying things shouldn't be fixed, but just nerfing everything other than what they want isn't the way to do it because it just eventually leads to everyone doing the exact same thing and that's boring.

With the recent patch they nerfed multiple things like Mira, Cursed chests etc. and while I disagree with some of those things that's not the point of this thread. My question here is Even if these things were slightly to good, not like 10x better than simple farming but say twice as good do you think nerfing them should be more of a priority for Blizzard than fixing bugs?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
An example is a recent blue post which stated that they are aware of the issue where 2h legendaries are rolling with 1h stats but it didn't quite make it into the recent patch and to me that means they prioritized fixing slightly abusable mechanics to gain a bit better efficiency over fixing a fairly major bug and that's just not right. Like I said had the mechanic allowed people to gain a ludicrous amount of XP then I would understand but it didn't it was barely above what one could gain from simply playing and to me fixing stuff is more important than nerfing that.

I'll never understand this decision, like if the amount of XP it gave was outrageous then I would get it but it wasn't. In fact anyone with half decent gear wouldn't even consider doing this over cathedral 4/keep depths 2 + rakkis crossing runs this was just another way that was perhaps a bit easier to do while still giving a decent amount of XP. What's wrong with that? I enjoyed Mira runs, they had a similar feel to baal runs and to nerf this just because it's giving good XP for the amount of effort it takes is wrong imo.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Same goes for cursed chests, the ONLY people who were able to abuse this were streamers because they had people actually hunt the chests for them and then invite said streamer so that he would instantly spawn at the chest and clear it and you know the funny thing? This nerf doesn't even effect them because he'll still get those instant invites to chest spawns so the only people this nerf hurts are the people that didn't abuse it because now they spawn even less and I barely found any to begin with...
This feels just like the changes they've been doing in Hearthstone recently, nerfing what appears to be popular instead of what is actually overpowered... I guess soon we'll see the removal of elites, gear, stats and abilities so that we're all just auto attacking zombies because otherwise someone may be able to gain XP slightly faster... /sigh

While impressive, I imagine this has less to do with Wizard and more to do with the power of top-end gear.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories

Not only that but from my understanding there's a lot of torment legendaries that are locked to RoS and the current torment-only legendary pool is pretty low so your bound to find repeats.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Someone care to explain why I have this and how long it'll last?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Because they all but removed the ability to regain fury for every hit which meant that faster attacks didn't have any negative impact as while you would spend fury faster due to doing faster attacks you would also regenerate it faster for the same reason. So with that gone now builds are more centred around the idea of slower, harder hits as to get more value of your fury.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep

Set your game to public, go torment 6, A Shattered Crown and just Join Games. You could literally do it naked and still get almost 600M/Hour + legendaries, i'm personally doing it with a capped MF character. I just do this while watching TV, kinda feels like old baal runs but faster :P.
