Yeah I am wearing a mara's, got pretty lucky infact!

    http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Fitsu-2502/hero/125749

I only started back up with the patch a few days ago so not many ancients yet.. But I got the main "stuff" and pretty sure it's all rolled correctly.

How would I go about dodging his melee attacks? I'm whirlwind and during the 10min fight I literally tried EVERYTHING.. I span back and forth through him, span through him when he did a melee animation, span around him, span away from him during animations... No matter what, it always hit me.

Is there some trick this guy? I was doing a GR50 on my barb, got the the RG with 8min to spare and then this guy just laughed at me... Hes melee strike dealt more damage than my sustain and if I backed out hed do that teleport move, 1 shotting me.

    Is there something missing?

This RG is annoying as hell and I got him several times one shotting with no cooldown. But most of the times his one shot tele can be avoided as he has a special animation. As for toughness I have 40 mil on wizz and he will still one shot me upon tele if I wait for it :) I think the best with Perdition is to be as closest as you can to him and watch for the special animation... double blades and tele... go away when he use them. But on 50+ I will think that most of players will die at least once or twice from this guy :)

Yeah, i'm a barb so no tele ^^'. I tried keeping up close but he just eventually dwindles me down, maybe if I had more ancient gear... Most other RGs there's atleast a way to avoid death even if it means kiting, with this guy I just can't find a way to escape the damage.

i found 8 ramaladnis this season, but in 2 seasons i played (p300 s2 and now p360 in s3) i have never even seen any furnace at all :(

Well, the furnace is still one of the rarest weapons in the game, so id hardly consider that a "common" item :P. I've never found one either!

posted a message on Common items you've never found?

Maybe a fun topic... Maybe not. I'll start!

I've played RoS since release, maybe not as much as some but enough that I'm paragon 700....

Pretty much since release I've been after the Templar immortality relic, and to this day I have never had one drop. I've had the scoundrel/enchantress ones drop more than I can count but not a single Templar one. RNGesus be cruel.

So how about ya'all any fairly common items you've been after since pretty much release that have just never dropped?

posted a message on Blizzard is gonna get stamped as maker of casual easy games.

Oh Oh, I know how about create a valid reason for seasons (such as resetting the trade market once it gets flooded to give people a new start) rather than simply creating fake incentives (season-only gear) to make people play a mode they don't actually want to play? Cor, that would be great.

Seasons were just a cheap grab at the nostalgia-ridden D2 players who refused to buy the game until it had ladders. With 0 trading, pvp and player-interaction seasons serve no actual point. The game doesn't need to create more false incentives to force people to play seasons, it needs to improve the loot curve open up more of the game to viable farming levels, create more group content like chaos/baal/cows etc., re-allow trading and make pvp open-world. Then, i'll play seasons.

On the "casual" point, the idea that Diablo 2 was a hard game makes me laugh, WoWs high-end raid content has never been harder and have u even seen what the people do in high-end competitive Starcraft I could barely click randomly that fast! So yeah, wut?

Loot curve - remember when ure body armor would go rare > random unique > ghost shroud > vmagi > skulders > tal armor > CoH (tal set still useful to!) where as now it goes rare > random uniq > ik armor the game needs that. This is done by 2 methods -

    1. Having more goals than just hitting harder, i.e. MF/GF the benefit of stats like MF/GF is you can make these items more common because they don't make you a god meaning that both the more common MF/GF and ultra-rare damage gear can exist in the same game and both be considered worth while and BiS for certain builds. Keeping all existing items viable in there own right by making more options than just hitting harder is important to make a good loot curve and trading work.

    2. Having more than 1 way to farm, different builds do different runs faster and this creates build variety, build variety means more of the gear becomes viable... build a will do boss runs faster, build b will do rifts faster, build c bounties, build d campaign runs etc... The thing that annoys me most on this point is the content already exists to do this they just need to balance the drop rates!

posted a message on what does "xxx% more damage" mean?

I know it may seem like a stupid question, but it's something i'm unsure of...

When an item, lets say Sunwukos says all those abilities deal 500% more damage... Does that actually mean it hits 5x harder, i.e. 835% x5 = 4175%... The same way +% skill damage works, or does it mean it gains 500% i.e. 835% + 500% = 1335... What wording is said to allow me to tell the difference between the two?

    Many Thanks for any help!

posted a message on greater rift guardians still hit to hard...
Is it just me? I've played my Crusader + Barb (i'm a melee fan) and they both have the same issue... From GR 36 - 40, I can get to the RG with ~8min to go and then i'll spend those 8min getting 1 - 2 hit killed by the RG over and over again, like up until that point I can stand in pretty much everything and barely have to pot but then I get to the guardian and I just fall over instantly and have to spend the next 10min trying to cheese it down.

I wouldn't mind if it were a challenge throughout the entire rift as it would just mean I need more toughness to survive it but when everything up to the rift boss is a cakewalk but then boss itself just one shots you it's frustrating... For instance, on GR38 I had 9min left to kill Blighter and if my ignore pain wasn't up on barb he would kill me in a single melee hit... If ignore pain was up, he would kill me in 2 hits. I ended up failing that rift, the boss took longer than getting the bar to 100%...

posted a message on is LPH any good now?
I just got my first furnace, finally and it rolled LPH... but it rolled like 27k LPH, is this stat any good now (for barbs/monks/crusaders) or is it still a dead stat and thus a junk item? The other stat it rolled is bleed dot '-.-.

posted a message on Gearing an alt
    Hi all, curious on opinions!

I wanna gear my alt monk (currently naked), what would you say is the fastest way to gear him...

    A. Farm rifts on my main (T6/GR40+ Capable) and spend shards on alt
    B. Craft what I can for alt, farm rifts on him (Likely struggle at T3/T4)

I imagine A would be better.

posted a message on Why Diablo 3 shouldn't be getting all the criticizism it does...
Diablo 3 gets it's criticism because people expected to get something akin to Diablo 2... A game they would still be playing 10 years down the line but instead they got a game that was just ok... Sure, most of us come back for a few days when a patch hits to take a look but not many stay much longer than that...

Diablo 2 had multiple routes one could take to viably farm in the game be it key runs, torch runs, chaos runs, cave runs, cow runs, council gold runs, andy/mephy runs, baal runs... Every run different and rewarded a different type of loot. This in turn created build diversity in the game because certain builds were able to do certain types of runs better which in turn meant there was no longer just 1 or 2 items for every slot which trumped every other item in the game. This is just one of the many ways Diablo 2 does it better it also has better PvP, more freedom (allowing for player-run events such as the iron maiden game), the gear has more depth via a larger variety of stats, better player interaction, more depth to how loot dropped allowing trading to be possible etc.

What ultimately disappoints me the most about Diablo 3 is that Diablo 2 is 10+ years older and yet does almost everything better. Yes Diablo 2 is considered one of the best games ever made and so it may not be fair to compare Diablo 3 to it, but Diablo 3 is it's successor and therefore comparing the two and expecting Diablo 3 to live up to it's name is simply unavoidable. If it wasn't for the fact 99% of D2 players are bots/cheaters then even with the dated graphics and less-smooth gameplay I would choose to play D2 over D3 every time.

posted a message on What's there to come back for this patch?
Hi! I've always come back to D3 every patch for atleast a few weeks just to play around with the new stuff and felt each patch has brought something interesting enough to have me come back... But I don't see it in this one, am I right in saying the only real changes in this patch are Ancient Items (current items with bigger main stats, only really relevant on weapon), a few balance changes and some more seasonal-only items (I don't play season, see no point).

    Anything I've not noticed?
