If you played Necro in D2, you would know they are maybe 5% the same class in that they both summon something. So is the Barb the same as WD because he summons Ancients? is a Wizard the same as WD because they summon hydra's and a familiar? Is a Monk the same as WD because they summon mystic's? Is a Sader the same as WD because he can summon Avatars? Is a DH the same as WD because he has a companion?
The clear answer is NO, they are not the same. If you knew the lore of the Necromancer you would know that he functions more so like a tank than a weak int hero. He uses curses, not disease (huge difference) and he also uses bones to shield himself or damage enemies. He provides several useful aura's whether they be to do damage, provide some cc, or provide some resistance. Clearly, the Necro is NOT THE WD
You people need to stop being irrational with your thought process. -

Third, the chain of evidence via the hyperlinks last night were out of DIABLO content
Fourth, the presence of a FEMALE Necromancer clearly states this is D3 related material, not D2 as the D2 Necro was Male.
Fifth, I get that people want to build a wall to prevent let down, but when there is obvious evidence and a smoke trail, there is typically a fire. -

- Although we will not likely get rid of this crisis, it is something that we can help get under control.

This charity is about spreading awareness to help fight this problem.
6. The journey so far...
- last time around in NYC - I was able to raise $1,109.00 - due in large part to contributions made by diablo members. Even though it did end up pouring rain the entire time - the entire event went of great.
- my first donation received this time around - a surprising $100 - was given by a fellow diablo player.. who is now considering signing up for the San Diego walk themselves!
- there is quite a bit of time before the event... and while I will not spam message boards with this, I will periodically check in with some progress updates.

Almost all of the biggest systems and system changes have been patches. You mention paragon, which was a patch. As was the cube, ect.
They won't fix the paragon system without going 70 -> 80 level. If they wanted to do it, they had plenty of time for that. The paragon system will be fixed (hopefully not upgraded to a bigger mess) in a future expansion. Also, nobody will give a new character or a system like the runewords (which can itself sell as an expansion alone) with a patch. And a big content patch won't save the game in any way, it will just delay the inevitable. That is the reason nobody will waste time to release a big patch for free and put the game on a maintenance mode after that. It just doesn't make any sense if they are not adding microtransations or any other type of regular milking income.
TLDR: It has to be an expansion.
But yes, that was my point. Either it's an expansion to actually address what I listed, or it's just a content patch with one new system such as runewrods. -

The user interface designer details:
Notice how it says for Diablo 3 here...proof of a future expansion? Most likely.
Next is the senior interface designer:
It says, "all Diablo games", whether this is for diablo 1 and 2 as well, or simply for diablo 3 and all future games is yet to be seen(but the hype is there for Diablo 1 and 2 remakes as it says, "all".
There's also a "technical artist, rigging" and that is more bland as it simply states that he/she will work on all things Diablo related.
Thoughts guys? I think this will be an exciting blizzcon for Diablo

mrllama said that they arent to say anything about the announcement until tomorrow :). Quin even said that theres no announcement today as this is media day.

Tuesday they will be announcing what they will be showing at gamescom on their gamescom hub: https://gamescom.blizzard.com/en-gb/ blizz will be showcasing everything on wednesday and thursday. They said that there will be new game content so here's to hoping its something diablo related.
