Lohk posted a message on Millions and millions of gold....These topics come up often and are always replied with the same "Farm more.", which doesn't help the OP in any way.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I've gone from 5 million to 15 million just selling gems. I have recipes for Star cuts of each color and I just farm until I have no more of the crappy rares up on the AH(the ones that sell for like 25k >.>). By that time, I usually have 100-150 Flawless gems and I just use the tomes I pick up and make gems until I am out. Then I put up everything, except Flawless, on the AH. Usually takes about a day to sell everything with the occasional re-list.
Also, right now Inferno Essences are going for quite a bit. Although they are going down in price again. If you have some, I'd sell those off if you need money right now.
However, if you want to invest, the new crafting recipes in 1.0.7 might use Essences/Tears, you can start picking up Blues during your farm runes and salvaging them. It's a bit of a gamble, though. You might end up with a whole bunch of essences worth 500g a piece :|
Hope this helps! Good luck
edit:
I almost forgot, use this site for looking at prices. Helps a ton. -

Though he was a big contributor, there isn't anyone or anything that's going to influence me to quit. Peace out, Force, cya at 1.1.

Non_Inertial_Frame posted a message on Force quit Diablo 3Meh 350+ hours between a barb and a demon hunter, and I still plan to play both of them as well as leveling at least the other 3 characters to 60. Still enjoying the game quite a bit, and I don't use the RMAH at all. It's fun to just run around and kill things, whether it be stuff I can handle easily (act2 inferno on my barb) or trying to do harder stuff like act 3 in groups with some of my friends.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Still having fun, still earning new and better gear. If you're bored with it then that's cool and I can respect that, but I see no reason to force your opinion on other people and then insult them when they don't agree, saying nonsense such as 'I'm lying to myself because I enjoy it'. That doesn't even make sense. -

I'll make points and compare:
Story: Diablo 2
I felt much more in tune with Diablo 2, even if you almost never spoke. The creativity it provided me over the years is unmatched.
In D3 it kind of feels impersonal, I don't feel part of anything. It's just not right for me.
Gameplay: Diablo 3
While diablo 2 had pretty nice gameplay, Diablo 3 feels smoother and much more polished - but this is to be expected considering the huge time-gap between the games.
Loot: Diablo 2
I feel that D2 had a larger variety and they were a lot harder to come by, when you got a rare you were actually excited instead of going 'crap, crap, crap' just by hovering over the skin of it. I understand D2 was like that also in ways, but it's much more noticable in D3.
Balance: Diablo 2
While Diablo 3 has decent balance, I do consider D2 better for the mere sake that there wasn't any 'insta-invulnerability' skills, or not to the extreme that D3 has. We have so many skills like that in D3 that it tips the scales slightly to unbalanced.
PVP: Diablo 2
There was such a large variety of skills that Diablo 2 just make it better. The match depended on who had better skills and who could manupilate the field better - it had a more realistic feel to it. D3 is flat - if your DPS is much higher than his life and you get the first skill it's *splat* for the opponent. The difference between health and damage when fighting a lower character is ridiculous. This wasn't largely so for D2.
Skill Variety: Diablo 2
Diablo 2 had more skills and more options. In D3 almost every hero ends up with the same skills at higher levels.
Gear Variety: Diablo 2
Same as above, at higher levels everyone is basically wearing the same stuff, just slight variations in stats.
So, hands down Diablo 2 wins.
Diablo 3 feels more like clone wars to me. Everything is the same in the end.

Farming act 1 inferno and I'm in the cursed hold. Also saw a goblin and charged like a crazy beast after the thing (naturally forgetting all my survival knowledge). I usually try to corner the little buggers and just as I had it in a corner the 'big exploding ones' come out of nowhere and surround me. Cornering me like I cornered the goblin. Naturally they had to have desecrate, waller, molten and vortex.
So, putting my feral side aside I jump out of there and put on shadow power with gloom and take them down, just as the last one is about to die it vortex's me into the corner with my little troll face goblin (who I'm sure was enjoying the show) and walls me in with it. I think awesome and then the 'oh shit' kicked in as I realized they're all about to explode and beyond that they're going to explode AGAIN because of molten.
Just there and then little troll face goblin chucks the popcorn and hops through his portal to save himself. after which I got bombed in a timely fashion.

Luck of the draw my friend, luck of the draw.
The biggest problem I've found with people and gear is that some people don't know the value of things (I'm not saying you at all, just adding this to my post). A hundred times at least I've found someone saying 'this is a piece of shit' and when they show me, it's actually awesome and those that actually listened to me and tried to sell it on the AH got quite a bit. The problem is that you constantly compare things you find to your own gear.
Your view get's even narrower if you haven't played any/all other classes. So you could potentially be throwing something away that is worth millions. Every single day awesome items are merched because of a general misunderstanding of it's value.
That miracle item you wanted? Yup, someone just sold it to the merchant for 500-3500g.

In my opinion he/she/it never started playing.

Lines like that just tend to piss me off. You have absolutely no viable evidence to back that up instead of your own assumption on the game and the x percentage of people who feel the same.
I understand you use the word 'mostly', but your entire post says you only posted that on a very loose note. If you don't like it and only want to use it for a cash cow, then that's your problem. Don't assume other people feel the same. If you allow the small things to ruin the big picture then you're as blind as the rest who feel that way.
The problem was the expectations of the game and most of them weren't met and that is upsetting. However, I also tend to believe that it will be improved upon and that it takes time. The game is new, the fans are old - and we all expected perfection and I know some of us are disappointed.
Ride out the wave instead of drown in the crowd - quit the game if you must for a year and then check back. D2 wasn't all sparkly stars at the beginning either, for those of us that know, however, now we refer to it as the pinnacle of perfection.
Quite frankly, I'm happy with the game, I'm happy with the entertainment I got from it and the entertainment I'm going to continue to receive in the years to come. I enjoy it, I AM disappointed in the lack of story and some other minor things I don't care to mention, but I still enjoy it. I'm not lying to myself, I acknowledge every fault as I often read forums here, on the official site and from my own country.
But I still enjoy it. If you don't, tough luck, but don't tell me I'm lying to myself because you can't find the joy in something good.
On a lighter and slightly more hilarious note: Friend of mine got Tyrael tattoo'd on his back quite a bit back, before the release of Diablo 3, and...he's a racist. Priceless moments...

As for those I removed from my friendlist, apologies, it was getting a bit crowded. However, if you want another run feel free to PM me and I'll ad you again.
Just what the thread title says.
Will take you to the secret level for free in Hell mode because I couldn't be bothered less by helping someone out that wants to get there and I'm not stingy enough to charge. On average I make about 10-15k in drops without selling anything to the AH. So I guess it's a decent run, but it'll get you geared for inferno if you don't want to use the AH.
Just leave your tag and I'll contact you when I'm on. Which is basically 24/7; except tomorrow morning, tomorrow morning I'm going to go fishing.
Just to say, I will not be doing the run with you. Consider me a taxi. I take you to your destination, open the door for you and then bolt.
I can also do normal and nightmare runs if you prefer those.

NOT EVEN DEATH CAN SAVE YOU FROM ME
I think we're covered :Thumbs Up:

Ten steps before
1) Camp outside gameshop for midnight release for my CE
2) Get home and hug the box to my body for about five minutes
3) Slowly open it, I might even see a light coming from it as I open it
4) Unbox everything, placing it delicately on my bed
5) Scan over it lovingly for about a minute
6) Place the skull next to my screen, inserting the soulstone with care
7) Grab the game, rip over the cover and pop the dvd into the drive in record time
8) Start installing
9) Very impatiently wait for it finish with all the updates, patches and other stuff.
10) Squeal like a little girl when I start playing and die of happiness
Ten steps after
1) Touch, poke and prod everything that can be touched, poked and prodded
2) Explore every dungeon, cave, hole, etc
3) Listen to everything everyone says with meticulous care
4) Read every lore entry I get
5) Run around all the main bosses for about two minutes just so that I can look at them properly and learn their attack style.
6) Repeatedly kill said bosses until I know their AI quite well
7) Watch every cinematic at least twice
8) Finish Normal
9) Go back and kill every boss again for a chance of better gear
10) Rush through Nightmare and Hell and most likely die in inferno.
I CANNOT wait...
5 Days, 8 Hours, 26 Minutes and give or take a second. I'm READY!
