I'm merrily farming act3 siegebreaker runs with 40k(no ss)/108k(ss) dps without much difficulty. I was doing this when I was at your dps level as well, it was a bit harder but still very doable. The ramparts and the keep are a bitch, don't let those areas scare you. When you get out in the open field there is a lot more room to dodge projectiles and there are no soul rippers there.

Agreed. Ranged has the upper hand right now when it comes to the progress you can do while undergeared, but it sure as hell ain't easy. I feel insulted when people say I'm rez zerging my way through inferno. I didn't clear inferno because I rez zerged, I cleared inferno because I learned to dodge crap like a boss. I really hope melee gets it a bit easier in this patch, mostly because I'm tired of carrying my barb buddy through act3/4, but I hope ranged gets some cake too. If I could survive 2 hits (or maybe even 3!) I probably wouldn't die anymore if you consider how leet I am at dodging projectiles now.

It's hard to judge the classes by what you see in the beta. I did all classes to 13 and the thing that struck me the most is that there was a rather clear hierarchy of the ability to make things go boom.

The static charge thingy with the rune did have a slight knockback effect, but there just wasn't anywhere near the same level of satisfaction as it was with the barb. With the wizard you run up and wave your hand a bit, the sound effect is reminiscent of a subtle power station or something, and the monsters are knocked a few yards *yawn*. With the barb you jump into a huge heap of shit, you swing your huge weapon with tremendous force, the impact noise is like a house falling down on itself ten times over and then everything in front of you explodes 300 meters in every direction and it's all illuminated by lightning flashes.

The secondary scenario is by far the most appealing to me. Now, this might change as you get access to new skills later on, but from what I saw it seems like the wizard has a much more subtle design vision to it. If the barb is a lightning strike then the wizard is a static charge when you grab a piece of metal.

That exaggerated style is kind of the trademark of fantasy games imo. Huge helmets and shoulderpads that would be impossible to use realistically. Same deal with the weapons, I like that style and those over the top sets are usually my favourite.

I never got any beta key and I have pretty much entered all contests and giveaways I could find. :QQ:

Same here. The irony is that if I got in to just one I would probably be signed to all future betas because of how much feedback and bug reports I provide in the games i play. If I'm not mistaken they tend to favor good contributors on future betas. My friend use betas as a game preview thingy, he never reports anything and is generally pissy and whiny off as soon as anything is broken. His beta feedback (if any at all) usually consist of a long whine post of how sucky and broken everything in the game is on the general forum. He has gotten into four Blizzard betas so far (WC3:TFT, WoW: Wotlk, SC2 and D3).
