    I have a lvl 60 Wizard
    1167 rare kills
    19984 total kills
    0 legendary Items

    lvl 60 monk
    2384 rare kills
    69934 total kills
    0 legendary items

quit complaining, sometimes stuff doesnt drop....

It's hard to go by these numbers because it's under "career" so it includes your level 3 alt killing rares that won't drop shit.

That being said, it looks like you guys are spending too much time killing whites and running away from rares b/c my proportions are significantly different

    47k kills
    2580 elites
4 legendaries, 3 of which are level 60. 5 legendaries if you count my IK maul that displays with orange legendary text for some reason

I'd say 2 legendaries a week sounds like the drop rate is about where it should be. What i'm more concerned about is the shit stats they roll. IK maul rolled just dex and int on a barb only weap, and awful damage on top.

Force Armor no longer reduces the damage of attacks that would do 100% or more of your health. So you can and likely will still get one shot from time to time.

it still reduces the damage in this circumstance. If a hit causes FA to absorb 100% of your health then the leftover damage bleeds through.
So if the damage you receive will be the same for a hit ranging from 35% - 135% of your total health, but if the hit is 140% then you'll receive 40% damage.

To answer the OP, it's been a little rough but my I've made it to Belial on my wizard and sitting at about 28k health and i forget my base damage but 27.7k with force weapon on, 200 all resistances.

I've found that it's super effective to run illusionist + mirror image:duplicate. Having a virtually spammable 5man meat shield is pretty amazing

Yeah, my bad fellas. I didn't realize you were Hardcore, both the high res/armor and the not wanting to run in for an illusionist hit are good points with HC in mind. As for SC, I'll try the illusionist method.

That being said, thanks for this thread, the build is pretty close to what i was running, with mirror image + enchantress being the main difference. I'll give this a shot when i get home from work

Hang on you don't have illusionist so how do you use teleport aggressively to maintain mirror image uptime?

This is a good point, but I think he means you use teleport:fracture to close the gap for when your normal images die. With that said I think you'd be far better off going with illusionist so then you really can just spam mirror image for 100% uptime with just getting hit here or there, then you can get rid of teleport and bring an actual damage skill.

Obviously Illusionist would replace evocation or it would be redundant.

You spend no energy, I think it's a little early for anything to be "cookie cutter" but it's fairly common to see blizzard as your attack instead of shock pulse since you don't have any energy spenders.

As far as improvements are concerned, there's no absolute correct answer but you should try to experiment a little with Teleport: Fracture Rune combined with the illusionist passive. I just started doing this two days ago and it's fairly effective and fun. There's no internal cooldown on the passive and in inferno every hit will be more than 15% of your health so teleport is basically spammable while you're in danger and every time you fracture it actually gives you a chance to dps while mobs chase your images. Once they kill your images you take one hit and teleport and now you have more images

I'm regularly starting fights with teleport just for the image spawns because i know when i actually do need a teleport for defense illusionist will pop it up.

I run a very similar build except I use disintegrate instead of piercing orb. I'd actually like to ask why you don't do that specifically because there aren't any AP spenders in your build?

Hydra is only 15 AP and you can't spam it for higher dps or anything, and teleport is also only 15 AP. Include how much you need to kite in inferno anyway, it's easy to find an opportunity for your AP to regen in between disintegrate spams because how much I'm moving my feet.

You realize this website is "Diablo fans" right? Go back to WoW. Go away, you're a minority.

Really? you "quoted" him and replaced the words of his post with "fart noises"? How old are you?

After reading this alone you have effectively discredited anything you have to say. Any future posts from "diablostorm" should be completely ignored for fear that reading his words will actually lower your own intelligence because of his shear stupidity and how he deals with criticism...

You're horrible thread was trying to support a horrible cause, get over it.

Don't trust a lot of the game guide/calculator tooltip, it's well known that they're faulty. The Ray of Frost: Cold Blooded rune says that it reduces AP cost to 0 on the site while it only reduces the cost down to 12 in game. There are a good amount of errors like this on the website.

However, looking at their 3 characters per account statistic tilts the statistics in their favor - if everyone has 3 characters on average, and 1.9% of characters unlocked inferno, it would mean that 0.6% of the player base is in Inferno. However, this is extremely muddy stuff, and Blizzard is either willfully not giving us the real numbers, or their statisticians are idiots (Guess which one is more likely).

lol at your math skills... you did that backwards, doll. Assuming no variance that every person has exactly 3 characters and 1.9% of "characters" are in inferno, without people who have more than one character in inferno then that drives the number of accounts, or "players", up to 5.7% of the population in inferno.

Pretty impressive "trick", see goblin, kill goblin.

Okay now with less sarcasm, I'm going to assume you're talking about the fact that they didn't engage him until they were ready? That's not a trick, it's common sense. You can always see goblins before they "aggro" and take off running.

ITT: a bunch of people ignoring the class of the original post

And for those wizards, IAS is not a prize stat since it just eats your AP faster, it would be better to get crit. Sure IAS will still make that damage number on your stat page go up, but that doesn't mean it's better than having more int or crit etc.

This isn't a class/difficulty discussion. You may as well have just dropped by to say "btw guys, green is my favorite color".

It took weeks to level in D2 and thats something I greatly enjoyed. You're hard work showed when you were the ONLY level 99 out of your friends.

lolol. It took a single dedicated night and maybe another 2 hours the next day to "level" is d2. By level I mean get high enough to wear all your toons end game gear, 75-85 range. Hitting 99 is pointless and by no standard a core part of the game.

99 is there so autistic children have a repetative motion to occupy their time. But good job beating your friends with your "hard work" aka no working job at all.

So many ignorant trolls out tonight. -__- sigh.

Strong counterpoint! You've completely opened my eyes to why hitting 99 was super significant and clearly the only reason people even played the game.... oh wait.
