Someone might have said this. But I think its possible you're just dying too much. If you're suprised at how fast other people are running act1 areas, but say that you're farming up to act3, I have to question how efficient you're really being.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from burek123just reading through this thread makes me sad.... so many idiotic ideas
how d2 worked(since barely anyone here played it):
you kill something: the game rolls to see if you are gonna get loot (there's a huge chance you wont)
the game rolled you are going to get loot: the game rolls to see from which treasure table you are going to get loot (all the items in the game are divided into treasure tables), there are a few tables that only consist of gold, potions or arrows, and there is a huge probability the game will roll them instead of some more useful ones
the game rolled some useful treasure table: the game now rolls to see which type of item you are going to get from that table, lets say that the table consists of a best possible sword, best helm, a shield and a quiver
the game rolled you will get a sword: NOW THE GAME ROLLS TO SEE WHICH QUALITY WILL THAT SWORD BE, TAKING IN TO THE ACCOUNT, FOR THE FIRST TIME, YOUR MAGIC FIND @ : there's a 70% chance it will be white, a 28% it will be blue, and a 1% it will be rare and a 0.00001% it will be legendary
lets say you actually have 100% magic find: there's a 41% chance it will be white, 56% it will be blue, 2% it will be rare, and a 0.00002% it will be legendary
+1 so hard.

I believe it's a comment regarding the whole 'pros vs. noobs' worldview.
From what I can tell, Inferno wasn't intended to be some kind of exclusive gold star for the superawesome players... it's just meant to be the final difficulty in a game with 4 difficulty levels. If you can finish all of ActIV/Inferno in level 60 gear, then yeah, you're pro... but otherwise, you're just another person with good gear.
Actually, I'm pretty sure Blizzard repeatedly stated pre-launch that inferno was intended for the tip top % of the gamers that would be playing Diablo3. The part I think they messed up with that is leading down the current path is that the gear available in Inferno is too much better than the gear in hell and the barrier of entry into inferno isn't high enough to cull the herd. Also, the mere existence of the 4th difficulty level is going to make a lot of people feel like they need to be able to beat it.
They created their own problem by putting all the best gear in inferno.

At what point is that fair, since they can potentially rack up 160k DPS (and possibly higher), compared to the other ranged classes, or even the melee classes, who probably need that ability more than DHs because they have a greater need for more stats than DHs.
I guess it is just logic. You don't carry quivers in your hand. They are not a source or shield. But I do agree that it is one extra upgrades that most people don't have. On the other hand, as a demon hunter you can not use a shield for protection.
Sure you can. Just don't get to equip a Quiver.

As an FYI, WW itself does not have any coefficient for life on hit. It does work with lifesteal though. The whirlwinds from Dust Devils do proc life on hit i believe.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep

I'm glad you have the patience to run Butcher over and over again in Act 1. I, personally, can hardly get the motivation to get through Act I on alts anymore because of how many times I have been farming it on my 60.
Did you know that Blizzard has a hidden quest tracker that tracks how often you run the same quest and nerfs the drops you acquire in those runs? You could have a better time farming gold and selling stuff on AH if you switched between different runs in different acts.
Any source on that last thing? It wouldn't surprise me if there was some DR on running stuff over and over... But that just sounds like conjecture based on anecdotal evidence.
