I'm probably rolling a barbarian and calling it "Brynhild" or anything else that sounds like a female viking name or something. And I'll use emotes. A lot.
Though MF is more self-sufficient (farm your own gear), gold (or better: what it brings) is more reliable. You can buy stuff at the AH and upgrade your artisans - and get exactly what you need.
With MF, you'll find a lot of random good stuff... you don't need. Like a +int wand for a barbarian. With a bunch of gold, you can look around AH to find that unique item you'd love or upgrade until you can craft a nice rare item. But a nice MF can also help you with gold (AH), crafting (more reagents) and even real cash.
some complain about "dumbing down". How? Never played beta, but from what I've read people talking about (let's talk about difficulty and time length here), it seems similar to D2 demo: short gameplay, 1 miniboss that summons undead minions.
I think people are upset because Skeleton King is too easy, but they forgot this: he's a MINIBOSS. Like a champion mob, but with a cute animation, like Blood Raven was, and not the act 1 major boss.
And if people make videos about killing him without gear, well, who couldn't do the same with Blood Raven? The difference is Blood Raven took less time to kill "naked" than SK.
So we could say D3, at least until lvl 10~13 (or less, I think you actually meet SK sooner lol) is harder than D2. (please don't throw stones at me)
I think Blizzard's more worried if they can trust we really love them like noodles and we'll buy their game + use the RMAH, bringing them enough profit to make it worth their work. People like/believe or not, Blizzard's not stupid to never listen to fans' expectations and make a bad game, they need the money to feed little Susy, damn it!
For me (and most people, I presume)? If the game shows up a disappointment, yeah, it'll suck, but the worst that can happen is wasting money in a bad game and getting somewhat frustrated with all the anxiety I had until then. But then I'll wake on may/16 and play something else.
But for Blizzard, oh God, bad things would happen.

Sort of a personal choice, I'd say...
