I think people are panicking way too much. The last 2 WoW expansions had so many CEs that stores still actually have them in stock. Years after they went out.
I'm pretty positive D3 will be the same. So far the "WE RAN OUT OF STOCK GUYS" is just to propel excitement in the masses. "What? 3 stores have ran out?! Oh look! One of them just got more copies! Buy it now guys!". And as you can see that way thousands if not tens of thousands more copies are sold. Just because it feels more exclusive that way. Mark my words: in August we'll still have plenty of CEs all over Amazon, Gamestop and whatever other large chains are out there.
Yeah you're probably right. I'm just worried after the whole Book of Cain fiasco where they contacted me the day it was suppose to be released and told me it wasn't going to be there for another 2 months (had already paid for it). Luckly I got it in time for Christmas though.
So since I was able to finish my preorder with GameStop, that means they actually do still have the copies and didn't just forget to tell me they were sold out?
Sorry I'm just trying to make sure I have a copy on release ._. and I already forked over $100 and don't want to be screwed out of my money.

I preordered it from GameStop back in December, and I went in and paid it off in full on the day Blizzard announced the release date. They said nothing about it being sold out and they were still taking preorders. Apparently if you preorder a game from GameStop it is guaranteed to be there the day of release.
So what gives... is the CE really sold out? Or is the just sold out for online stores?
