The proposed solutions are AWFUL
What they need to do is to give AN INCENTIVE to keep the gear on
For example and extra 1% magic find per minute when using the same gear (until hitting let's say +100%)

Butt hurt developers playing the hand of god. What happened to the days when a game was released and you could do whatever you wanted to do with it. If I find an upgrade and have to go to town to switch to wait for my MF to go back to full potential I'll flip shit. Or let alone lose a stack for each piece changed. So stupid. -

Taifu posted a message on Punishment DH BuildThat is good news it does work. I believe that those six categories are in place for the "newer" player, to make the game easier for them and elective mode is for more advanced players, that is what I have read. I would be interested in to see what other builds you come up with now, knowing about the elective mode.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands -

user-6420376 posted a message on Punishment DH BuildI have created lots of builds around punishment. All of them with correct other passive choices and high enough crits are viable choices from around NM up. I think that Preparation with or without punishment is must have for almost every action DH out there. You can drop it when you get epic Inferno items at some point and don't need regen from Punishment any more. But it will last you for a long long while even in Inferno.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands -

Slayerviper posted a message on Why Strafe sucks!Posted in: Demon Hunter: The DreadlandsQuote from Bluespiker
As a main attack skill you are absolutely correct, Strafe is not good...
However you've got to understand not every skill is just for damage, there is a lot mobility that comes with Strafe. All the other attack skills stop when you activate it, this does not. This is made to do some damage while you move, kind of like a ranged Whirlwind. The uncontrolled targeting obviously means that it's not going to be a primary Hatred spending skill for your build. As with all skills some runes might change that but it really depends what you are trying to use the skill for in your build, and that's the important thing to think about.
Remember your not going to have 5 main attack skills in your build. You minimumly need 1, and some builds may have up to 3 (1 single target Hatred Spender, 1 AoE Hatred Spender, and 1 Hatred Generator). The rest of the skills will be there to be used occationally, for example, Rain of Vengence for burst damage, Smoke Screen for escaping, and Caltrops for snare. Not every skill in your build needs to do the best damage at all times and if it does in later difficulties you will die because you will be overwhelmed by the Hordes.
Long story short (too late I know), you need to think about what a skill actual does and not just the damage it puts out before you say it sucks.
Edits: For Grammer
Vault then spam a damage efficient spell... well that just made strafe useless. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

That is the point though; D2 was made specifically for the hardcore grinders. Diablo 3 was made for you and those who share the same casualness. That is why you have such things like non-permanent characters, an official auction house (with the use of real money too), no skill points, no progression at the end game. Dude, to be honest, and I've seen it myself for quite a few players, you will more than likely not want to play the game after you beat Nightmare. There is absolutely nothing different but more affixes (no new affixes, just an additional 1 added to elites), and better loot. You can use the skills you used in nightmare in inferno and still be completely fine for the most part. The game is so gear dependent that a level 5 with whites could kick your level 60 ass if you were wearing no gear. There isn't any sort of permanent, unique power that you had with D2. While D2 was also gear dependent, there was such a HUGE gap from a level 1 to 99.
