I find its a balancing act, In Normal I could obviously do as I pleased and pretty much just melted faces for 30 hours. Now in NM it sa different story, there is no point having 5k DPS if a mob can vortex you in and 1 hit you so I am running with 6.5k HP and 1.1k DPS at the moment and am really enjoying the challenge of Nightmare. I'm level 40 BTW
I sure hope it gets harder
I'm lvl 18 with my wiz, and although i'm having a lot of fun, there's no real difficulty in normal
2 or 3 arcane orbs and everybody is dead
I think I better give arcane orbs a try, I am lvl 18 also and have stuck with ray of frost so far and the monsters are just ramming through it now.
I'm really enjoying it and that game is well worth it but in terms of comparison to D2 I don't like how guided D3 is. It just feels to easy.
Well, it seems like, you know how in D2, pretty much all of Act 1 was faceroll? Well, its like D3 Normal difficulty is like that, but you get Inferno in addition to the other 2 difficulties.
So yeah, Normal feels "guided", I can see that, but after normal...... its like having a playground 5x the size of D2. (the areas are huge, with crazy random events, and bananas champ packs!)
So in Nightmare and beyond are the areas bigger and more random?

Vortex is bad enough in Normal.
