posted a message on Need Advice for Act 1/2 DPS Farming
From my experience, I do act 1 with no problems. I have around 600 resists, 24k hp, 14k damage. I use a shield and a 1h. I would maybe swap out Battle Rage for leap, leap is the best option for avoiding damage like chains, frost, desecration, plague. I myself am having some troubles in Act 2. So i can't really say what to do for that.

posted a message on Legendary Buffs!
I totally agree that they need to be buffed a bit. Low end legendary items at least. I mean the name indicates its the best, they are the hardest to get as well. I am in inferno, with 55,476 lifetime kills and got the achievement for 1,000 barrels a long long time ago and I have yet to see a legendary. I spend a lot of time farming to get gear and when I do finally see one, its going to AH because there is a 98% chance it won't surpass what I already have. This to me is a flaw.

Even if its not AS good as what I have, it should be close, it should make me think, hmm should I switch to this? Because all these secondary stats are nice too. But its not, so far its not even a thought, they are so far below what I've seen/got that they might as well just not be in the game at all. They are more of an achievement than an item.

For everyone talking about the inferno %, you do realize they sold over 6.5 million copies.. 1% of that is 65,000. That's a lot. I am in inferno and on the way there 90% of public games I joined were people not even close to gear to beat hell. I had to join, leave, join leave. I think 1.9% is about right.

Only thing I want to address is the legendary part. In wow I have my rogue legendary, Best in Slot.. Why? Cause its LEGENDARY. So if they aren't meant to be the best, then why give them a name that indicates they are. Deceive much?

posted a message on Barb Vit vs Str
Doing a few tests on my barbarian to increase damage at the cost of life. I took out 5 vit gems and replaced them with str ones. I was hoping with an increase in damage and armor from str it would be worth the loss in life. Come to find out vit also increases armor by 1 per 1 vit. So the only difference between the two is health or damage since both give 1 armor per point. I have never read this anywhere and tooltips do not indicate this either.

tried the same thing on a witch doctor and vit does not increase armor for them. is this broken or intended?

EDIT: Just realized I had the passive for armor increase of 100% of vit.

It's 0.1% of the builds currently being used, yet the 5th most used.. thats saying the game is very very cookie cutter.

    @ Azidonis

you need like 500-700 resists for inferno, at least from what everyone is saying and I can understand that being there myself.

Anyone saying they are taking down Inferno with low resists is just trolling. Post a youtube video showing your stats right before you take on a champ/elite pack..

Barbs aren't the worst, they are just more gear dependent. My barb was getting rocked, but a few new pieces of gear and now mobs get rocked.

I mainly play DH and its a tad bit easier due to good kiting and not ever getting hit, so a lot of resists don't really matter as much, but if I get a vortex or fast pack, then I might have to die a few times to down them.. Now that is also my fault because I am trying to progress in areas where my gear is lacking. But hey, i like a challenge.

That's all good, shwift, as long as you're happy with the idea of someone that doesn't care about the cash dropping a few bills owning your personal primo character in arena when it finally comes out in a few months.

They do what they do - make money - and you do what you do - grind in a game like a $2/hr kid somewhere deep in China.

You mean grinding gear to do inferno? I guess... not sure what that has to do with anything..

This whole thread was to point out, stop crying about it being hard and go get gear.. People in the games aren't doing good cause their gear sucks and you have to grind with neph buff to get the gear..

    Maybe I misunderstood your statement.

    @razorback1952

My DH build is focused on surving atm, immobilize trap, Smoke Screen, Prep, Entangingling shot with + hatred regen, multishot with fire at will for groups and impale with stun/knockback for single target. Now your wep may need upgraded, my 2h bow is over 600 dps. My level 51 barbs 1h is almost a 300 dps.

I farmed a few hours got like 50+ yellows and over 400k, 5 stack neph buff = 600-800 gold a drop. Bosses drop 3 yellows and 6 blues with that buff :)

BTW Emyln - Don't believe those AH prices, they're all lies, no one in the game has multiple millions to spend on a item. A fair item price for level 50 stuff is like 10-20k and level 60 is like 50-80k, everything over that is just retarted and their stuff isn't selling. I throw stuff on the AH for like 5-10k cause it sells quick and its better than vendoring it for 400g

Why do you assume we don't have gear if we complain about getting 1 shot? The problem is that you need Act 2 and 3 gear before you stop getting 1 shot in Act 2. It doesn't matter if you have good gear from farming Act 1.

Not true, Hell gear can be better than Inferno, a level 20 blue can be better than a level 60 blue. Its how the random rolls on gear works in this game.. Now a lot of people don't agree with that, and I don't to a certain point, I think they need to narrow down the random properties to be more level specific, but the point is, if you get some awesome rolls then you're good to go. How do you think my level 51 Barb has more stats than any of these 60's I join public games with? Hours of farming and getting top end rolls on the gear.

I honestly wanted to start this thread so all the people crying could come and see that, you're just doing it wrong. Its week one, I've logged over 100 hours.

Give it time guys, group up with friends (thats what I did because they get drops which could be awesome for you and you could get awesome gear for them) 4 people kill a boss, well that could be like 8 yellows vs the just the 2 you got. But if solo play is your style, start learning the Auction House. Please try not to craft cause 40k a craft + 4 mats for a random chance, go spend 40-80k in the AH and get exactly what you want!

So I am a level 60 DH trying to farm Act 4 Hell to better my gear for Inferno. I read the forums every day and just see all the people crying.. Well here is my experience -

When I join a game and you see me leave immediatly thats because your stats are horrible and you shouldn't be trying to play that far into the game. Thats why everyone is crying about having trouble with inferno. My level 51 barb has more stats than 90% of these level 60's trying to finish Hell. I wish more of these people played wow or something and understood you can't do heroic raids until you're geared. Diablo 3 is not a playthrough game once you get to the end of hell and Inferno.

Once you're level 60 go farm stuff from earlier in Hell, 5 Stack Neph buff = 100's of thousands of gold per hour + all the yellows you could want. Thats why my barb is OP because I farmed for him and now he is a beast. As for my DH well I tried to play through the game like everyone else and it was way way hard until I started getting a few drops, then it became manageable. Yeah so what people have beat Inferno, there are gamers our there that surpass skills of 95% of the gaming community, let them do what they do and you do what you do.
