The weapons are seriously flawed. They have both a +x/+y dmg roll and on top of that a +z% dmg roll. Nowadays there are so many items around that you need both of those dmg rolls to be close to max in order for the weapon to be good. This is just plain stupid for any legendary that does not come with both rolls, not to mention rare weapons. The same holds for sockets and crit dmg. Those abilities are so important that you kind of need them to be on the weapon.
I don't have much gold to spend, so I got me a Skorn a long time ago and it still is so much better than anything else I can get, because I don't have to worry about an offhand and what not. This is just plain bad design in my opinion. Or look at demon hunters, they have those fancy 1h crossbows which look awesome, yet they are outshined all the time because of some 2h xbow with crazy abilities.
I really hope that in 1.09 they will not add new things to the game, instead they should just go over all the things implemented so far and adjust things when required. 90% of the legendaries and a lot of skills need to be changed as well.

As long as the difference between the acts is small, people will go where they like. The same thing holds for all things in D3. Skills/runes/cc/cd etc. All these things need to be around the same lvl, so everyone can pick the class they like, with the spec they like and killing demons in the place they like. Game quality will rise sky high if that will ever happen. This is a step in the right direction.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I think Elendiro is not really annoyed by people making this posts, but rather by Blizzard who had such flawed design. It's just plain stupid that out of all the skills available we all end up using only a couple of specs, because this game is all about efficiency.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I really hope that Blizz can manage to create something which will change the way we play D3.

Seriously people, why on earth are you all seeking to make this game boring. Ofcourse you can go outgear everything and faceroll through the game, but is that any fun? What happened to adapting to the situation and stop dps when the mobs reflect, wait a few seconds for the reflect to go off and then hit em?Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
If the OP has got no trouble at all except for reflect dmg, he just needs to learn to play. I don't mean to say you are noob. I'm just saying you should evaluate the situation and handle accordingly.

And how is this an exploit? As if those ubers are not going to be killed anyway. And even if it would make a difference, you do know that it takes a hell of a lot of time to gather all those shrines x5 to get 10 mins duration.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
However, I think that it's not really a big deal. It's a lottery anyway, you can get lucky or unlucky and that is what this game is about.

This is a suggestions thread right?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
- Make it impossible for items to roll ias, crit and crit dmg. (2 out of 3 is enough)
- Reduce the numbers on ias, crit and crit dmg. So the impact they have will be less. I'm thinking that the max amount of crit chance you should be able to get from items is ~25%, crit dmg should be 100% max and ias maybe 100% (possibly less).
What will happen is that numbers will deflate so numbers will stay normal. Blizzard has always said that they want to give people choices and let us decide what specs and items we want to get. To me it makes no sense that some item without crit chance is worth 10k, and with max crit it's worth 100 million. This is just bad and needs to be changed.

I believe that it's not really the shields which are a problem here. I think it's the abilities on items in general are. There is huge inflation going on in the top tier items. Everyone, without exception, is looking for the same items with their respective main stat. They gotta change that very quickly. Once more builds are viable and different types of items are good for each build, shield might find their use again.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

The goal in Diablo is to get the best possible gear for your character. In my view BIS items should be legendary. In order to get those legendary items you will have to do some farming and it does not hurt to have some substantial power before you start. This is where crafting comes in in my oppinion. Crafting should get you items which are good to get you going, but should in no way be BIS. Some changes definately need to be made.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

If I remember correctly, Blizz once explained that there is no in/out of combat check in Diablo 3 at all.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
As some of you already said that certain builds will become broken if you can get too much life regen, I still think that abilities which provide it should be buffed. Atm a lot of runes are obviously better than others. This problem extends further than life regen. I hope that in a patch not far away, Blizz will look at all the abilities and runes and replace/change them so there will be more skills to choose from.
To me it's not really a problem if there are a couple of builds better than others, but the differences should preferrably be within 10%, if you look at dps, survivability.

Old games are old, go play D3 now and stop wishing for things that will never happen anyway.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
