I don't really understand the difference between an endless dungeon and clearing act 1 to 4. It seems to me that most people that are asking for endless dungeon just want keeps lvl 1/2/3/4/... etc with 2x as many demons as there are now.
However, OP has got a great suggestion. It would be a lot better to work with the current dungeons available than to create some lame system.

Increasing the chance to drop legendaries will obviously do the job. They can do that according to mp and the requirement of having 5 stacks and a hellfire ring. (Ofcourse this assumes that in the future there will still be a lot of bad legendaries)Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
The balance should be such that going for the boss with a very high chance of a legendary will not be more efficient that rampaging through normal mobs. Since 1.08 we kill a lot more normal mobs and I've found a lot more legendaries as well, so it might actually be possible to create a nice balance.

Other than that, just any scenery that is not there now. Also I hope that in the xpac they will do more than just 1 act. It would be great to be able to explore a lot more content.

Fun has increased 10 fold since 1.08. Running around and being cornered by countless mobs is just too much fun. I also hope that a future patch will fix all spells and skillrunes. I don't know about details, I just pick a spec and play with it until I'm bored. Than I change some things around and work from there. The most important advice someone ever gave me is to get the most of each item slot without spending zillions of gold. What I mean is that you should get ehp (lot's of it) from shoulders/chest/legs and then fiddle around with the other slots to get the most dps.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
For example you have a Tal's chest which gives you: 77vit, 43ar and 8ias and a rare belt with: 158vit, 16ar, 7%life. If you would change those to a Zuni chest (nice for set bonus) with ~150 vit you'll gain ~30ar +55ar(set bonus) and ~70vit compared to Tal's. Now get a Witching hour with life%/ >70% ar/vit depending on budget. You will have lost some hp, but you gained dps and resist. Maybe your ehp hasn't even gone down at all.
If so, there is room for small improvements by crafting bracers and even betters shoulders with more ehp.
For most people it's easy to compare one item to the other, but comparing a change of 2/3/4 items at once is hard. There are some nice websites available to help you out with this.

Stop thinking about efficiency.... start thinking about fun every once in a while. Obviously I farmed act 3 most of the time before 1.08, but sometimes I chose act 4 to get a change of scenery and play. I like act 4 a lot.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

It's convenient to be able to use wp's to travel between the acts, but it will have a negative effect as well. Atm they are busy trying to make farming equally efficient in all acts. However we all know that there will always be certain area's which are more profitable than others. In one act alone it's nearly impossible to fix this, but if it's only one or 2 area's it's not really a big issue. However, if it's 2 area's in each act, than we all know what people will do if we can use wp's to travel between the acts. There will again be a very uber efficient route to farm and that will pretty much destroy what Blizz is trying right now.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Instead of having the possibility to travel between the acts, they should make each separate act more appealing and give more things to do besides the main story. Add small quest chains which require you to explore dungeons and caves and give a nice reward at the end.

I believe the item stat +x% frost dmg, for example, works on your weapon dmg. It does not affect the skills you use. There are a couple of legendary items that have a stat called: increases fire/frost/etc spell damage by x%. Those do increase the dmg of the spells.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
You only choose +dmg skills, usually it's good to pick a couple of utility skills, because those will effectively also increase the dmg you deal, because they allow you to stay alive longer and make you more mobile. I would drop the Conflagration passive for something else (stuff to increase defense/ap), I would also pick either magic weapon or the familiar and change the other for a utility spell like, nova, bubble, teleport etc.

The weapons are seriously flawed. They have both a +x/+y dmg roll and on top of that a +z% dmg roll. Nowadays there are so many items around that you need both of those dmg rolls to be close to max in order for the weapon to be good. This is just plain stupid for any legendary that does not come with both rolls, not to mention rare weapons. The same holds for sockets and crit dmg. Those abilities are so important that you kind of need them to be on the weapon.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I don't have much gold to spend, so I got me a Skorn a long time ago and it still is so much better than anything else I can get, because I don't have to worry about an offhand and what not. This is just plain bad design in my opinion. Or look at demon hunters, they have those fancy 1h crossbows which look awesome, yet they are outshined all the time because of some 2h xbow with crazy abilities.
I really hope that in 1.09 they will not add new things to the game, instead they should just go over all the things implemented so far and adjust things when required. 90% of the legendaries and a lot of skills need to be changed as well.
