I can't imagine they would pull the AH the exact same time as loot 2.0 is patched. Since blizzard is a business, they want to make money. I would imagine they might try to get loot 2.0 out by Christmas time to generate income off the AH, although that time is approaching fast with no PTR in site.
Either way, it would seem silly to pull the AH at the same time as the loot patch release because there are bound to be some tweaks or bugs, even with a PTR.

It's not that it's just third party, it's that it reads memory and is therefore very illegal. It's just a matter of time.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

People are complaining about this on the official forums:Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Best thing you can do is likely reply to the threads and show your support for changing the stupid mechanic. There is simply no reason the game should count down from 10 to close for you since you didn't initiate the kick. It's not as if you are intentionally being kicked to avoid death and therefore exploiting (although I suppose some people could orchestrate that).
One of the guy's involved in this lost a 22 WD though.

Skycrown first to get stacks is a nice change. Too many times I've done core > tower 1 and only had a 2-3 stacks. No matter where I went after that, I would be wasting xp due to not enough stacks.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Eh, maybe. According to some of those illegal 3rd party sites the ban rate wasn't that high compared to the people who use the bot.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Do you guys think gold is on the rise because of the holidays/rmah money pit, or is there something else going on?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
If it's just because of a player influx, this looks promising for when PvP arrives. Gold last week was around 29 cents per million, and it's now up to 39 cents!

It's not so much that the accounts will be banned, it's that the sites you buy them from will repo them after you gear the account up. I've bought WoW accounts before and they always ended up taking it back and giving me 'store credit' to buy another account with (that is, gear another account up so they can repo/resell it for more money).Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I understand your money over time thing. I just want to give you a heads up. These sites demand all information upfront about the accounts they purchase including the secret security question (which cannot be changed), and a photo id of the real owner.
They can always get the accounts back. It's like getting ripped off in a drug deal. You can't go complain to Blizzard about it.

Well, I am able to pull 10 million a run like you did (only using a perfect star in my helm), but I am about a minute longer. I think my dps is the problem as some elite packs slow me way down. That and I like to loot random shit too much.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Either way, it's better than what I was doing.

I am running something similar, but using Leap/call of arreat over Furious Charge. It generate plenty of fury on its own, not to mention the aoe pull for overpower and mobility it provides. I'm only 130k dps with all buffs, but the speed is great for me so far. I'll give your route a try today.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Edit: I think I will try this build out and just try my Leap over bash. The furious charge looks like it helps a ton on speed. I have a 5pc IK so fury isn't too much of a problem right now.
