And besides that, my biggest gripe is that they for some reason didn't balance stats between classes. As a Monk, with my gear, I have more IAS gear on than most DH do, and the same amount of DEX, and same weapon damage. I have around 1300 dex, and my damage is like 16k or something around there.. I've seen and looked at DH who have 50k+ damage and have the same or less DEX than me. At least they aren't a ranged class that can hide around corners and shoot things.
When you were comparing your Monk's dmg to a Demon Hunters, what passives did the DH have? As passives are reflected in your character window's dps meter, using the Sharp shooter passive enormously inflates dps. It isn't an accurate portrayal. Sharp shooter increases the Demon Hunter's critical strike chance by 3% every second until they crit. So what you're seeing is their dmg with 100% crit. It's pretty meaningless. It just means they have high burst. It's not as if they can sustain 100% crit.
The benefit of Dext is equal to both Monks and Demon hunters. 1 dext = 1% dmg.
Fast weapons benefit more from flat dmg increase items. Rings and necks with 2-4 dmg, for example. So keep that in mind when comparing weapons and dps.
I've been using Elemental Arrow runed With Ball Lightning. it's so amazingly easy to clear hallways and rooms. Though I am curious on how it works.
It doesn't appear to do 155% damage as the tooltip states, but it can hit the same target more than once. I'm not sure if there is a limit, but if there isn't, and it is entirely dependent on the size of the target. (or just how long they're in range of it) It very well could be higher single target dps than any hungering arrow variation.
I don't know why I get so excited for releases at 3 am. I really should just go to bed early and have a ton of time to play lag / issue free the following day...
Really, it's not even released yet, and this "journalist" is already claiming it isn't ready yet. What a hackneyed article.
They're referring to the lack of pvp initially. And they're kind of right...
Yes, but it's blizzard who defines what complete is. As it has been said, they only release something when it's ready. That means that if they were to release the first 5 levels, that would still count as being ready; because they did release it.
Yes, that was a fallacy, but the first part is still true.

Probably to act as Mules so you don't need to spend a lot of gold for a larger cache right away.
It's what I was planning to do.
