Yeah ofc as i mention that in guide its ur choice either Insanity or ToC. When I do solo runs I usually use ToC and Sprint instead of Killing Spree since i dont have to wait for anyone. But if we are in a party I change that for Insanity and Killing Spree just to kill asap elites there is no problem with trash mobs so u dont really need WoTB on them.Quote from Elendiro
Yeah, it works really well with Thrive on Chaos, just because you can dump all fury and regain all in a matter of seconds. Berserk is really easy to keep up.
As for HotA build its true u can hit a bit more often then Dread Bomb, but Ematanis give u answer before i could u dont have to hit every mobs around with Bomb u just throw 1 or 2 and all of them are gone, no need to like HotA spam it around to hit all mobs. Tbh i think its faster to kill mobs or elites with Bomb if u have big pulls, no need to worry about fury u can spam it same as HotA. The only problem is when u dont have to many mobs (which after patch 1.0.8 its not rly a problem) then HotA is way better or if elites have teleport or shield and they avoid all the dmg burst u do while u kill all the trash around, reflect is pain as well since u can 1 shot urself when u pop up WotB with Insanity but same thing happen with HotA. I didnt test it out which build is faster cuz I didnt even want to compare this with any other build in the first place. I played WW and HotA build before i just like to do something fresh something new from time to time and I think this build is not bad, so I just want to share with ppl see how they are feel about it.

I've been fooling around with Dread Bomb for quite some time now.
Here is my take on it
Using Ancient Spear as rage generator with no escape obviously works only if you have quite high crit chance and even then you can have an unlucky streak - but Harpoon takes a little bit the edge off when hitting multiple mobs. But it's funny as hell and tackels the problem of spreading mobs very nicely. Thus making Dread Bomb even more devastating.
With No escape in combination with Into the Fray in the picture this specc really does thrive on chaos - WotB uptime is no problem as long as there is Mobs around.
I tried spear as well but i would take it instead killing spree not cleave but its ur choice. Thx for all your btw replies

Yeah its a bit slow and u have to wait for corpse if you throw it away from you so the best thing is to throw it just under your feet. But once you get used to it its not so bad.Quote from Uldyssian
I think the main drawback for me is how slow the dread bomb casts.
I would love to see if there ends up being a unique that somehow synergizes with that specific rune.
Btw I tried leap with Call of Arreat but its really poor version of cyclone strike dont pull mobs same way as cs and have cooldown.
Jun 6, 2013Hi I'm Luqas this is my first post here and guide for barbarian in Diablo 3 but before i start i just want to apologize for my English.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
I accidentally make this build when i was checking cleave + battle rage - bloodshed guide. I saw that cleave (almost never used it on my barb before) generate fury quite nice so i had an idea to try it with battle rage - into the fray and weapon throw - dread bomb. With such a high mobs density now it generate most of the time full fury with one swing. I made this build for fun and it works on mp10 pretty good, the only thing annoying is that if you have elite and less then 3 mobs sometimes fury generate slower, but its very unlikely situation after new patch. This build is great if you have monk with cyclone strike in party.
You don't really need any special gear for this build, however I notice when i changed my Witching Hour for Immortal King belt and one of the rings for SoJ with max Fury + passive Animosity my DPS went down from 490k to 370k but i deal a lot more dmg, specially to elites with Dread Bomb thx to 50 Fury and bonus dmg to elites from this items. I would suggest 2h weapon(Skorn) for that since there is no problem with fury but it works well on dual 1h weapons as well.
Here is link to build
Short explanation of the skills and runes
Cleave Rupture> - generate a lot of Fury if you have 3+ mobs in front especially if it crits, and make nice chain reaction thx to Rupture rune (if you kill enemies with cleave they explode for 85% weapon dmg). That happen a lot after throwing a bomb on mobs.
Weapon Throw Dread Bomb> - main skill for this build. Tons of dmg, good AoE radius and you can throw it anywhere you want!!
Overpower Killing Spree> - give you more DPS and deal dmg around you. With big pulls cooldown reset almost instantly after throwing a bomb. You can swap this skill for SprintRun Like the Wind> if you doing solo run. Sometimes i take this skill if i want to do whole area faster your choice
Rend Blood Lust> - main skill that keep you alive, heal a lot and deal a lot of dmg if crits. Keep it on mobs all the time and you most likely wont die if you have decent amount of resists, armor and vit.
Battle Rage Into the Fray> - you need it for Fury generation + give you more DPS
Wrath of the Berserker Insanity> - great boost against elites. In solo runs you can change rune for Thrive on Chaos your choice.
Animosity - give you Max Fury and that gives you more dmg from Dread Bomb + increase fury generation by 20%
Weapons Master - give you DPS(I would recommend using axes, more crits=more fury)
Brawler - since patch 1.0.8 with high mobs density give you nice dmg boost as long u have +3 enemies around you
That's all i hope you like this build and here it is in action
