The whole problem is, plague of bats is quite weak skill to begin with (vs bears).
And build that uses rain of toads with extreme attack speed (it is possible to sustain mana with right gear) is even weaker, since this skill despite having hidden 50% attack speed bonus, is just really weak damage dealer (great loh and fetish proc).
you sir seem to miss the point, which is a build not main stream but a fun one based off something different... is it optimal? no ... does it work moderately well and is it fun? yes and yes... its a game bro lol

Are you using the spec wrong? It does do more damage then imp archon.
Ray of frost sleet storm 280% damage
Time wrap slow time 20% more damage
Frost nova bone chill 15% damage
Cold blooded 20% damage.
Due to most things are frozen and diamond skin is always up you just sit there and dps like a beast. Or switch time wrap for teleport if your res sucks. I'm telling this spec rapes, I farm mp10 a lot and tank ubers.
Difference is you can get up to 77% crit chance from ray of frost gear.
Rings can roll 12% each
Hella a lot of crit. I sit at 180k damage but in game damage I do near 700 to 900k crits. Which happens a lot.
I have 255k dps 64k hp and 740 all ressi when i tested your spec and it was not better than archon when I tried on top of it all ranged mobs are just a pain to deal with in general.
thats without using any damage buffs + I opted not to pick up glasscannon + are you talking about imp archob without either force wep or sparkflint ? then yes maybe you are right.
Yours won't work as well without the stats-specific gear that he listed. His spec requires a lot of specific gear; if you don't have the right rolls, it's not going to work as well. Archon is just much easier and reliable with general stats.
archon baffles me as to how it can be reliable... you're constantly moving at base runspeed +24 % most likely.... how can that be reliable? where are you farming where you can keep it up full time? i can never be bothered to keep it up full time, i move too slow lol

yup, its all about enjoying your playtime tbh. farming mp 2 is about as exciting as it gets.... unless you're playing at one level ABOVE what you can reasonably handle via gear... its all the same effing grind... you're still gonna be more bored than a woodchuck with a plastic tree... lolPosted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories

See, this post just shows that any "general guide" for MP10 is pretty much impossible. Loroese's guide recommends 320k EHP for MP10, and many people feel that's okay. I personally don't go there with less than 400-500k even with CMWW. Then there might be other builds who can survive MP10 with even less EHP - if you kill fast enough and have a freezing Scoundrel, why not?
On the other hand, if your build relies on getting a few hits, like a slow-killing build with Scramble and Illusionist, you should get a lot more EHP than 500k. Also, looking at DPS you provided, it's hard to say because you can only see character sheet DPS - but we all know that greatly differs from "real DPS". While Archon DPS is pretty close to char sheet, CMWW is much higher than char sheet DPS and if you're patient and don't care much about efficiency, you can go MP10 with way less than 200k DPS and also less than 400k EHP.
Your numbers are a really good start and it's a good target for everyone; 5000 armor, 800 AR, 35k EHP would be my goal as well. But for which spec? That's overkill for CMWW, but hardly enough for a low-DPS Archon wizard. So... it's all relative. Plus, I imagine there's gonna be some great things ahead of us like awesome Blizzard builds with 1.07. And everything changes... again. :-)
man i couldn't agree more with you! if you want to farm mp 10, first you've gotta define what YOU constitute as farm. for me, its as simple as surviving and killing stuff at a reasonable pace per hour of play. ie does it take me a full hour to get five stacks and kill a keywarden given my slow playstyle? i like to get in two high mp key runs in one hour. to me that's acceptable given i take care of 3 dogs and cook and such during the evenings. i play on mp8 btw as its where my gear allows for this.
so first set your actual goal, then set your playstyle given what you want in your goal. if cmww bores you to tears then pick another spec... set your goal there then work toward it. anything's possible given enough gold thrown at it. pick an achievable budget and shoot for it!
i chose to pick cmww because i enjoy the fast paced spammy key goodness and the op nature of the setup. i dumped my budget and achieved my goal, ican tank and stun mp 10 ubers efficiently and i can solo mp8 key runs for loot whats your goal and how are you planning to go for it?

All the hate towards multiboxing is just jellyness. Also it's not an instant way to wealth and legendaries. If you would invest the money for 3 additional copies of D3 directly into gold you would get 600m gold or so instantly if you buy it in AH, more if you buy from third party. And that doesn't count the money for the multibox software nor the additional hardware needed to paaly efficiently. Also Inigo doesn't just equip one char with good gear and all the other with crap stuff with max resists. All his toons are decently geared and he constantly seeks for upgrades for all of his toons. So in this sense he has to invest four times the money to get perfect gear for all his chars, which is the goal of the game anyways. So no reason for all the hate.
I agree though that multiboxing with just one good equipped toon while keeping the others decked in survival stats and on follow is kinda lame.
Considering D3 is purely centered around loot and the gathering of said loot, it defiantly makes it less fun watching people use 4 accounts while only having to try as hard as playing one account by using 1 key stroke for 4 different characters abilities. That's just where I say I draw the line;
this little part highlighted is kinda vague, i can elaborate a little by saying its not quite "simple" to just push one button and they all do the same thing, unless each toon is the same class and spec. i'll agree that's easy, but the challenge and fun of setting it up and making it work is by playing different classes while multiboxing. I did this in wow to great effect... it was fun as shit, but EXTREMELY difficult to setup and play well. its fun to multibox, its a challenge to play it efficiently and well given the restraints of the system and what not... plus, you still have to gear up 4 toons together... 4 times the loot for 4 times the toons... is just like playing with 3 other friends and sharing every drop you get.... i know some guilds/groups of friends that do this... just because one person does it doesn't make it ANY different it just means one guy gets the loot he needs to deck out all his characters. most multiboxers aren't millionares in game... yes they get lots of loot, but we also spend 4 times the gold to deck our toons all max out all this hate is extremely off topic when the whole point of the thread is about farming act 2. tho i do agree that the OP really shoulda left out the part about multiboxing if he wanted any type of credit for the "run name" Bro, you're bringing multiboxing out to the forefront and basically rubbing it in everyone's nose that YOU can farm up 600 elites an hour... why BRING the hate like that... lol think a little man ! :)

I have a question about the run. Did you do act 3 before? Do you feel like in act 2 there are less ilvl 63 legends / set items? The reason why I ask this is, as far as I know even though on MP1 affixes on every item are ilvl 63, the base items drop table, which was revealed before MP was introduced, should still be viable. Which basicly means there should be lower chance for high ilvl legendaries.
not entirely true. the sets and items ilvl 63 were only found passed act 3 as thats when the mobs were ilvl63.... when u switch on mp1 all mobs are now 63 so you get the chance to drop anywhere

honestly cardinalmdm, you're an obnoxious single minded moron when you say things like that.... multiboxers are gold businesses? they flood the market? i think you're confusing botters and chinese who use a program to play the game for them to make money, with multiboxers who use multiple toons to play the game together.... each and every input during a session of play is controlled push for push by the multiboxing player... and no we dont flood the market... we just play and enjoy the game differently than you do.... we play like someone would if 3 of their friends always played with them every time every day and shared all the loot.... its still 4 characters its still 4 accounts its just one person orchestrating it all. you're bitter cardinal... its a hobby, its a game... Y U SO MAD BROPosted in: Diablo III General Discussion
on topic, =) i've grown accustom to using this route on my characters for act 2 key farming as well as general farming on mp5 for my cmww wiz... much more efficient and relaxed than act 3 turbo runs.... /yawn lol

seems like every piece of gear from here is a 60+ million upgrade. think i'l stick with my wiz for now and just tempest rush with monk lolPosted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
