posted a message on How long do you think it will be before an expansion?
Scanned back a couple pages didn't see anything about it other than "what class should be next threads" so here we go. When do you think we'll see an expansion? While I'm loving D3 it definitely does not have the longevity of D2. I'm sure some will disagree but it's my opinion so please keep yours. lol Not seeing how it will keep long term interest for a lot of people without a expansion within a reasonable time frame.

Going on the Blizzard time table. I think we'll hear they are working on an expansion by years end but likely won't see it for 1-1.5 years after it's initial reveal. If we're lucky considering Starcrafts expansion has been in development for... at least 2 years since it was announced and likely was started before then. Specially since Blizzard set out with its expansion plans for SC. *lol*

Only way I see it coming out faster is if the RMAH makes it profitable enough for Blizz to up the time table which I doubt it will.

I'm enjoying the difficulty myself. Only negative thing I will say is I'm not a fan that for Inferno you are forced to take very specific abilities to even survive. Very poor balancing of skills on Blizzards part. Granted not every single ability should be useful in any given situation but in inferno it seems for most classes it is required.

I realized you have no clue what you are talking about.

And I realize you took no time to read what I typed and are trolling good day Sir.

The sooner people realize a couple things the better it will be.

    A. Diablo 3 was largely made by a entirely different group of people than D2 was. They took bits and pieces of D2 and threw WoW elements into it.

    B. The Blizzard of today is NOT the same Blizzard most of us grew up with. Instead of moving forward and stepping the gameplay up a lot. (IE Diablo > DIablo 2 or the original Warcraft games 1-3) They take the easiest/laziest route and tell us they know better if anyone says otherwise.

I'm sorry but saying Diablo 2's act 4 was short is not really an excuse. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the game for what it is but it sitll is a huge disappointment. It's very short and in the amount of time it took them to release this it shoulda dwarfed Skyrim in terms of size and content.

If you're lucky in having the right maps spawned. You DO run into the Necromancer in Act II out in the desert. (Not sure if it's THE Necromancer or one of his order but they are represented at least.

Yar it is a must pretty disappointing too. Could just be a lack of gear on my end but im going through Nightmare solo currently and I don't think I could do it without Revenge. It's saved my butt so much. Frankly it's to the point I think it's mandatory... In fact when solo seems almost mandatory to take any and every rune that has a heal component to it. lol I'm sure it's not quite as unforgiving in multiplayer but solo in Nightmare and beyond yeah... don't think it's possible without.

posted a message on Why are the Americas servers having such a issue when Europe and Asia are largely ok?
I know I'm just gonna get flamed/trolled for saying anything at all But I'm just so disappointed I'm gonna vent anyway I know I know day one release Every one is playing But does no one find it odd that while all regions are having issues that it seems to be the American servers having the most issues? I'm sure the Americas region probably has the highest population and all but really? They knew how big this was Seems servers have been down more than up in the past 24 hours.

posted a message on The servers are busy...
And this is why I think it was silly of Blizzard to do the whole wait till the PST thing didnt they remotely think it mighta been smarter to just let it go by individual timezone instead as to not stress the servers to the point of no one being able to get in? ha

posted a message on No reviews = warning sign?
So you expect reviewers to review D3 how exactly? Kinda hard to review a online game when the servers are off. Also could be Blizzard is being very protective about the story and spoilers? (Which is funny considering Blizz story telling is the most predictable thing ever I can probably already tell you what will happen without knowing a thing past the events of Act 1) Either a very weak troll post or ya truely didn't think about what you just typed out. lol

posted a message on Solo vs Multiplayer
Willing to bet they will tweek multiplayer within a few months. Unless its impossible to beat anything past normal solo there is little to no incentive to play co-op. I'll be playing solo mostly through my first normal run if only cause while I stop to enjoy story moments and read things my friends are even MORE anal about it and what should be a 2 hour affair to clear say act 1 would easily turn into 4 hours between how slow they are and the whining that ensues if you get even remotely impatient they took 10 minutes to read a little bit of dialogue. lol

posted a message on Wrongfully banned from D3 forums
To be banned means you've already been infracted at least twice since Blizzard goes on the three strike system (depending on severity) There is no way you could have been unaware of this. With that said you really aren't missing out on much why would you want to post on that cest pool? Trolls and flames everywhere. Anything you write or posts gets buried in minutes and the likelihood a blue will read it let alone respond is remote. I've long given up even trying there. But my opinion is colored because honestly you see it constantly if you post (or you see someone else post) something that slightly shines Blizz in a bad light and do anything short of worship them it is often locked and or deleted.

I guess I'm pretty eclectic a mix of some shows still running and some that haven't aired in years.

    True Blood
    Game of Thrones
    Walking Dead
    Buffy
Twilight Zone (the original version not the craptastic remakes it still holds up to the test of time)
Outer Limits (the 90's version it had some craptastic episodes now and then but a lot of them were pretty engaging)

posted a message on What will reviewers do?
It depends on a lotta things. I know IGN has said once or twice that their reviews are entirely at the mercy of the developers. Some will send it out early to be reviewed to up the hype machine some will wait till the day of or even after before they'll ship the press a copy. I know IGN and a couple other sites like 1UP have claimed that some companies in the past have threatened them with a "if you don't give us a favorable review you will not get early copies anymore"

IGN a couple of times even denounces games early saying that companies that withold the game from the press are scared of bad press knowing it's bad.

    Quote from succubus_queen

I don't think it was a calculated move. I don't even think a WoW Feat of Strength for beta access would be serious incentive to buy the annual pass. Beta MoP access by itself would probably be of more interest than a Feat of Strength that doesn't really carry any prestige.

Don't underestimate the OCD gamers out there that feel like being denied a FoS or a small reward won't irk them into signing another contract. The D3 annual pass for example only had 1.2 mil sign up out of around 11 million.. Only around 15% but that 15% means some added guaranteed income. As a business it totally makes sense for them to cater to any demographic that will make them money. Keep in mind with D3 you aren't just getting the FoS you're getting the bonus sigil. In WoW it could be a pet or mount in SC2 it'd likely be a portrait.
