Like any RPG gear is going to be a key factor in your success in the PvP aspect. While skill plays a large role in performance, not being able to take or deal damage will completely cancel out how good you may be.
So plainly, you will need gear to beat decent players and have any kind of consistent win rate.
Personally I feel it's something that is fine the way it is. Why you'd want to just sacrifice one is beyond me, having to do it individually just makes it a hassle whenever most people are going to just want to do it all at once to maximize damage. Summoning all of them over again is a minor inconvenience, but that's what you get when you go down that play style.
This is a build for a soloing Witch Doctor, it’s very versatile and easy to use. Nothing gimmicky or crazy, just a very safe and solid build to use, highly reliable. This build is also nice in that the skills go from lowest-highest. So you can assemble this while leveling.
Skills: Locust Swarm – Used for some consistent single target DPS, Searing Locusts is used to simply enhance that effect. Firebomb – Used for some consistent multi-target DPS, Fire Pit is used simply to enhance that effect.
Haunt – Used for some ‘off-hand’ DPS, Consuming Spirit is used to simply restore health during combat. Soul Harvest – Used to have increased DPS with his/her abilities, Swallow Your Soul is used to simply increase your sustainability with mana in a fight. Wall of Zombies – Used to avoid being surrounded during intense fights, it can be utilized to cover a flank to buy you time before having to engage that attack, Barricade is used to simply enhance that effect. Gargantuan – Used for special situations, acts as a meat shield, extra DPS, and a crowd controller. An overall assistant in a dire situation, Bruiser is used simply for its stun ability.
Passives: Spiritual Attunement – Used for mana sustainability. Gruesome Feast – Used for Health / Mana sustainability + DPS bonus. Death Trance – Used when near death situations, needing to stay alive in a sketchy situation.
At the game's release me and 3 friends are going to grind the game to clear as much content as we can.
Our current plan is to have a Barbarian focused primarily on CC and survival, a Monk who is basically Heal/DPS for the group, a Wizard for DPS/CC, and then a Witch Dr for pure damage
Thoughts?
Also what would be your thoughts on a perfect group, explain why it would be.
The thing is, the only reason people kept making the new classes is because that was all there is to do, there was no depth at all in diablo 1 and 2, it was easy and fast as hell to clear the content, so all people wanted to do was mess around with builds for PvP
This is an entirely new game, each character you make will have to be leveled by hand so to speak, and there is much more to do on each character.
So in a sense you won't need to keep remaking character after character, because there will be much more interesting things to spend your time doing.
So, I have been streaming a lot lately, but mostly just Starcraft 2.
And I came to thinking, with all the people without a Diablo 3 Beta, they deserve something for their efforts.
So this coming weekend, on Friday, I am going to host an interactive Livestream for anyone wanting to get a dose of the Beta beyond uploaded videos on Youtube.
The stream will begin at 6 P.M. EST like always, and will continue until everyone who is watching is satisfied, even if that means I stay up all hours of the night.
I will be playing through each class, in order of most voted on the stream, and playing in the style of what is demanded of me. Changing as requested
People with or without betas are welcome.
-Should anyone have a Beta key to give away and would like to during the stream, send me an email at: CuddleParty7@gmail.com-
Any questions? Just post them below, and I'll get to them ASAP
(This is not for self promotion, just an event for people who want to experience the Beta and can't get a key.) ♥
Personally, I think we should stay focused on the game as it is, seeing as thought it is close to half a year before the game we are discussing in it's current state is being released lol
All this is much like making plans for a grand child before you even have your first kids.
soo lets see what archetype is sort of missing from blizzard games. the druid and necro class is not convincing enough yet, if I d have to guess something its a shape shifting based class that might also have summons.
So you're saying they should actively try to make a worse game because it's more time consuming? Or did I miss your point?
Lol, not sure if trolling or stupid.
His point is half the fun in games is to learn how to do things, and he is saying that these days games are handing you the experiences and removing the process to personally achieving them. It's taking away part of the overall experience, and that's bad. That was his very obvious point
Sorry for insulting, but I'm not sure how else to put it
I'm relatively new to Diablo, but after playing Diablo 2, I'm hooked. The class I'm most interested in is the demon hunter, and i wanted to ask, how do you think gameplay will be, ease wise. I feel the point and click combat would be a bit a bit difficult with the fast paced, ranged nature of the class, and there seems to be lot of extra management combat wise. Of course I'm just going off of the video that I saw, and I might be totally off on the classes feel, but any insight would be helpful.
First off, I give you a big Air-Five for being able to come to and enjoy the classics, these days people just scoff at Diablo 2 becuase of the graphics, so CuddleWuddles to you sir.
Secondly, play what you like, but after walking the Beta with each class several times, I say with complete confidence that by far the easiest class to play is the Wizard, it just owns everything before monsters can even react to it.
That being said, any class is going to have a level of difficulty past normal.
So honestly, just pick what you like, get used to it during normal, and you'll be fine the rest of the game, cheers.
