Build is extremly Power Hungry, you gonna need lot of APoC....and its nothing special ;)Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
I mean, you got a CM Wizard standing in Front of you perma freezing everything...you can roll ANY build with that.
Replace Mines with Meteors, max out APoC and drool over the Numbers... way more effective imho
I really hope they make other stuff viable soon for the Wizard...
CM / Archon etc... getting boring

edit: ahh damn, this is about Archon... ignore my post.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories

This 1.08 fuckup on US D3 is no big deal...Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Buggy Patches happen all the time, and not only at Blizzard.
However, the big deal is... they won`t rollback.
I mean, they write "Fair Play" with big letters, ban all people who use cheats, hacks and exploits.
And on the flipside, they screw up the entire economy on US and do nothing to fix it.
Hypocrite at its finest
A cynic might file a lawsuit, because they are violating their own ToS

Thing is... you dont need to be "top notch" to beat the game...Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
All you need is crazy gear, and you can faceroll the Content all you like.
The real Pro's faceroll the Content in Blues ;)
I've also farmed the shit outta Act3/4 Inferno before 1.02 hit the Servers, am i special too now?
About Kripp... i can respect his opinion, while i dont always share it.
However, he is indeed a very good player with fast learning skills about the gamemechanics etc...
Thats not because he is a God, thats because he is experienced.
I've been playing Videogames for 30 Years now, after a while you get the hang of it...you dont need a Manual or Tutorial anymore to understand how something works, because you have seem it in a different game already.

Quote from Zero(pS)I'm not a big Athene fan (don't visit his youtube, never even watched his stream), but doesn't he actually use some of the money he gains to promote himself even more, and such insane self-promotion turned into a crapload of money to charity?
Well, then you should really watch this clip of him (when he isn't trolling)...
I am not a Fanboy by far, but i tip my hat to him for what he is actually doing charity wise.

Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from Zero(pS)Thank God Blizzard isn't stuck in the past as are many of its fans. They seek to evolve its franchises, invent the new trends, which will be used in the future. They will probably fail every now and then, which is why you see them admitting mistakes and changing things back. But they definitely haven't failed at everything like some make it sound.
People keep claiming that...i just wonder, what exactly is so "evolutionarily" ?
All i see is Content designed for Generation Farmville...you know, those Casuals who dont really want to put some Effort/Time into the Game, Char Progression, tricky Boss Encounters, Theorycrafting etc
Its no Secret that Blizzard tries to appeal to those masses, but lets not forget who brought Blizzard where they are right now.
Its been the dedicated Bunch from the past you talk about.
In the end of 2009 the whole Company took a 180° Turn, and designed more and more Casual friendly Stuff.
The last REAL HARD encounter (across all Games) they designed were Sunwell in World of Warcraft. Muru and such.

What D3 still needs is:
- the general itemization fixes (less drops, but better affixes etc) - planned pre-expansion
- gameplay-changing unique items - planned pre-expansion
- complete mini-dungeon overhaul with harder unique bosses/farming targets
- the Mystic for enchants and adding/manipulating/rerolling single stats - likely in the first expansion
- adding sockets to items via the Smith - likely in the first expansion
And that's basically it for me. No need an overcomplicated system like PoE that has a clumsy gameplay, old graphics, and no lore or unique characters like Cain. ^^
I agree... but not with the "old graphics" part, its not really that bad
And last i checked Blizzard killed Cain^^
Quote from SilvachRight now the only possible builds in PoE end game are:
- Lighting Arrow
- Rain of Arrows
- Minions / dual totem
- Freezing Pulse
- Ethereal Knives
- Leap slam / Ground Slam
There are many more possibilities...
I for example play a LMP Fireball / Firetrap / Spectre mix...and i close in on 80, doing pretty well.
Just because you dont cut thue the Mobs like Butter, doesnt mean the Builds doesnt work.
Use a little imagination and you can make everything work

Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from shaggyLike I said above... if you had 600 Fusing Orbs and you knew you could go to trade chat and trade them straight up for a 6L chest... why would you waste your time clicking through 450 of them in the hopes that you might save some? Everyone's time is worth more than that. Just like IDing 600 rares in a play session is boring, burning through 600 Fusing Orbs in a play session is boring. Every single ID (or Fusing Orb) could be that "home run" you're looking for - I know I'd be over-the-moon if I got a 6L with just one Fusing Orb - but that doesn't change the fact that the "average" experience is less-than-awesome.
Its almost impossible to find a perfect match, even with trading.
good stats + sockets + links + colors...something will never match your needs.
But your core statement is true, and a well known problem currently.
People refuse to craft stuff, and rather use the currency to buy/trade items.
