Posted in: Hardcore DiscussionQuote from Ashy_LarryI'll give you a simple solution... an option on hardcore to unlock ah at level 60?
But it is not about leveling without AH, its about having to play the game. With AH, it is such an efficient way to gear, you can just "play" the AH and get the best gear available, and BAAAM! you are super OP now. You don't have to play anymore, just smash your keyboard with your eyes closed, and you can beat it...

Ya, this Magda thing is driving me nuts. I am at her door now at inferno, but no way I'm doing it on my current gear. I tried act 1 MP1, but its really not safe for me yet, so I guess I'll farm act 1 MP0 for a whilePosted in: Hardcore Discussion
I'm also having a really bad luck with amulet and rings, but i dont think theres anyway thing to turn that around, oh well...
Anyways, my bnet is sequelator#1749 if you guys want to chat ingame.

I am doing it, just hit inferno yesterday(29hs of gameplay). Not using AH at all, not even for selling. Lost 2 characters in the process, both 20-. Anyway, I can give some tips for anyone else playing this way.Posted in: Hardcore Discussion
-You WILL get DC/lag/server-side issues/etc, so you have to play with that in mind. If you are playing solo as I am, and don`t have anyone to protect you if something happens, I strongly suggest you build your character as passively tank as it can. For example, a barb has "ignore pain", reduces 65% dmg, you might think its pretty good for HC, but you have to press that button, so if you get DC, that defensive spell is totally useless.
-Savage just everything. Craft is pretty awesome. And use it so you always have the best gear you can at any given time. Dont wait 5 more levels so you can craft something even better and not waste mats...
-Have at least 1 "Oh shit button", you dont want to get vortex walled and get fucked. Try to fight at narrow places, so if you DC, you wont get surrounded.
-I also recommend that you use a templar as a follower. He gives you a nice regen, can heal, Aoe Stun, and a big heal/AoeKnockBack if you fall low HP. All those things are pretty handy if you get DC. Also, try to use your health pot before the follower heals you.
-Last tip, remember that Magda is insanely bugged, trying to do her on hell or inferno can get you killed. I did it on hell with 1 FPS, really dont recommend it. I am waiting for a fix to try it on inferno for sure...
I am trying to finish inferno solo, but after that, if anyone wants to play togheter without AH, that would be awesome

Ya, but also:Quote from MaerlimiButcher Inferno in 2 minutesThe Butcher has 18M on Inferno.
Dps required? 150k
Stunning Reversal - Kill the Butcher while he is stunned by his own charge attack on Nightmare difficulty or higher.
so, I am guessing he will take like 300%+ dmg while stunned

Even if it works that way, and it is not a typo...Well, like crushing blow in D2, it was reduced agaisnt bosses(1/4 on normal, 1/8 on bosses). And remember, this is monsters CURRENT health, so you do less and less damage with this. Or, like static field in d2, it had a hard capPosted in: Theorycrafting and Analysis

I guess a knock back + mortar can be pretty hard to deal with...Posted in: Theorycrafting and Analysis

I already wrote that on Mortar...

probably can freeze you on hit, and be immune to freeze status...
Was in Beta - summons ice orbs that explode and freeze you for a few seconds. Also explodes and freezes you when it dies.
Maybe do some ethereal tricks, not sure...
Sounds like reduced physical damage, just like champions in D2.
Maybe summon a bunch of little monsters that you will feel happy to AoE down...
Sounds like it simply adds tons of monsters to its pack.
Not a clue
Maybe does Magic damage? That would negate all Armor and resistances.
???keeps throwing stuff on you?
Sounds like it takes less damage from ranged attacks.
Something with fire hehe
Explodes when killed.
Maybe a "Poison Aura"...poison dmg near...
Was in Beta. Drops pools of poison on the ground and throws rocks when at great distance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8vQ6_WyL6E
Heals on hit?
Most likely converts damage to health.
Thank you, I will update.

I just think Diablo's game mechanics are so awesome and rewarding, and pretty cinematics are way overrated. Priorities...Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
