posted a message on New skill system regurgitated?
I am in beta, and its really a blast to play without having to farm for runes is much more engaging. The old rune system is flawed cuz it forces u to a build that u will be stuck at for awhile until u gamble or buy it from AH! But if that is a pretty rare and hot rune good luck to u. U also need to forget about d2 system, and embrace d3 new system "change" is good!. Embrace it:D

posted a message on Summary of my experiences playing Diablo 3 Beta
Well here is my thoughts on the witch doctor and demon hunter.

The witch doctor is a class unlike the rest. Its a class that does have nuking, aoe, minions to help u tank while u throw pots that explode and spiders come out to hit mobs, summon toads... its really fun class to play and with lots of stuff to smash and break its really fun. Skill wise and playwise it really gets into char that this is a witch doctor and all its skills effects, sound effects make u feel it. I was able to tryout all the skills that I get each level and pick and choice my favourite which was nice cuz u will never gimp your char. The witch doctor allows u to play at a slower pace with the zombie dogs to help u tank so u can run around throwing toads or spiders or even cast an aoe grasping hands.

For the demon hunter, the closest I can think of is Lara Croft attitude with dual wield handbows. Damage wise pretty decent but need to watch hatred cuz u can runout if u spam the better skills. Since diablo universe doesnt come with guns, this char is the closest to a dual wield guntoting char. Also a really fun char to play as her skills are pretty unique to her, I love strafe this skill shows her moving slowing and shooting 360 deg and hitting everything around her good way to get those xp for destroying destructibles around you. The class is run, gun, dodge/evade, and blast everything insight. Fans that love using shooter type weapons will love this class.

After playing all 5 classes, the thing that comes to mind is a paradigm shift from diablo 2 to diablo 3. In diablo 2 people identifies not with a class, but type of class eg. u ask someone u have a paladin, and the answer probably would be yes I have a hammerdin, a zealot, chargedin, smiter. Same with the other classes. But for diablo 3, its not about these sub-classes, what blizzard has achieve imo, is they made a wizard, a demon hunter, a witch doctor, a barbarian, a monk and all the class skills represent that class. So if u ask me what class I play I can tell u a wizard, and I know that I can use all her skills too. Isnt that cool.

Finally, in all my play throughs with the random events(I love jar of souls), and random areas that appear, also random special mobs lol treasure imps, I never felt that I was playing something old and stale. This keeps each game fresh and interesting each play throughs. With this in mind, I cant wait for the release of diablo 3 to enjoy the rest of the game and also the different and new skills/runes at each new level. I dont have to worry about gimping my build, I dont have to worry about mules to store my stuff, I dont worry about my 10th account and which account has my 'runes', or 'uniques' or my hammerdin. I just need to hack, slash and explore the world of diablo 3 as blizzard has intended us to play.

posted a message on Blizzard: Changing the Game
I couldnt agree more with this post. To sum, I have 10 diablo 2 accounts, and 3 types of sorc, 3 types of paladin, 1 whirlwind barb, 2 druids, 1 elemental, 1 fury.... I can go on and on about mules to store all my shit. Until micromanaging and leveling up my 100th char became a chore. Do we want to go through that again? I for sure will not.

posted a message on A better way to apply The new runes system
To quote President Obama.. "Change" If u change your attitude towards this new change in the skill/rune system over the old diablo 2 system u might find it refreshing. Tbh after selecting my skills and killing a few mobs, I can go back and change it to see what is the best choice for me, or I might even change it from single dps to aoe skills if I know I will be facing lots of mobs. I fail to understand your argument at all. The change will help u tryout different skills so that u can either have fun or get an achievement. To limit it like the old ways, maybe u be better playing diablo 2 instead.
To me change is good, we all just need to adapt to it and find ways to entertain ourselves better.

posted a message on Summary of my experiences playing Diablo 3 Beta
I have been playing diablo 2 off and on for couple of years. I still remember early days when I played diablo 2, when u could gamble and get soj before they made it more difficult. Those days we only had modem connections so playing in asia on a US server wasnt that great.
In the early days of diablo 2 it was fun, and the grind to get eqpt was fun cuz of the way the game played. It was engaging cuz the mobs AI was pretty decent and they behave differently i.e each type of mobs have their unique behavior. Items was pretty much desired especially the uniques b4 runewords.
Early days builds were hard to come by and everyone did their own thing. Fast forward diablo 2 became e-sport like driven by dupes, people sharing builds, clans vs clans fights, and diablo 2 thrive despite its age. Blizzard added runewords, diablo clone, ubers and it made it fun for the dedicated players. Some sites even help promote the game by helping spawn diablo clone and giving out the ip to players very similiar to current irc competitions on lore etc.. u answer or type fast u win simple.

Ok sorry for the long text, now to diablo 3. The graphics, look and feel, attention to detail and lots of new stuff have been put into diablo 3. I have completed the beta on 3 characters so far. Monk, Barb and Wizward. Playing the Monk, the skills and movement is pretty good another hallmark of Blizzard u can feel the power of the Monk is speed and movement. Next I tried is the good old barb, wow, u can really feel its raw power, and with ingame phyics and lots of destructable objects ingame, it was fun to go smash mobs and things around. This attention to detail is even better than diablo 2 barb imo.
Last is the wizard, and wow too, its attitude and its destructive spells is really cool-I am falling in love with my female wizard lol.

Playing through 3 different chars, the games feel different too. The maps are randomly generated and their a lots of secret levels and special mobs that can be generated into your game. Also with lots of loots and mobs to cast those cool skills on the game never gets bored. Another feature they had is no more cinematics cutoff, instead they playout the scenes ingame which is another cool feature as it doesnt break the flow of the game. Another thing that I like is every level, I can expect either new spells or runes to add to my skills, so I essentially will tryout all the skills I get. I do recall in diablo 2, for new char builds, I just google and grab someone's build and go level up a new char... I had like 10 acccounts just to hold these builds and mules for all the gems, jewels, runes, uniques, set items... In diablo 3 all of your char shares your stash and u need to pay to open up the stash up to 3 tabs.

Lastly, I will cover the currently rune/skill system and why there are some people complaining about it. Coming from diablo 3 skill tree to wow talent tree system, we get addicted to its interface which shows u everything on a page and u basically click what u need. Diablo 3 is trying to move away and they made it simple, every time u level, u can upgrade your skill or runes and put them either on your mouse buttons left/right, your action bars, and mastery bars. Unfortunately this is really new system, and many will not get accustom to it. But to me its a refreshing change, so we need to adapt to it. Who knows they might even have it for the new blizzard MMOs that is coming out! The last item I want to cover is the chat system, from diablo 2 chat, to irc chat, the chat system in diablo 3 feels primitive and not intuitive it does its job but nothing fancy... but not sure do we want to hold up release of diablo 3 on a better chat system? Some might argue a better chat system will help bring players closer together, but than in this days vent is commonly used, even MMOs that build their own ingame chat system often the system is not even use eg. battlefield3. So seems that blizzard expects u to play with your friends, and doesnt appear that they consider u might make new friends. Which also leads to the next feature, how to join a public game. This is now done automatically by the server, so u dont get to chose like in diablo 2. Is this good or bad, well come to think of it, if u use diablo 3 chat system and go to the LFG channel, than u need to get a group u pretty much need to make friends and make the game for friends instead of public game. In other words, this new feature also needs some adjustments on the player's part to interact compare to the flexibility of the old diablo 2 system with the password game system for friends.

Sorry for the wall of text, what I have hope is share some of my experiences from old diablo 2 over to diablo 3. I will definitely be playing diablo 3 with my 2 sons and friends which is what made diablo 2 fun and I am sure with all the new features and blizzards attention to detail will make this a most enjoyable experience. My next task to to level up both the witch doctor and demon hunter class.

    Cheers to all:D

posted a message on Will blizzard get the balance correctly?
Blizzard already stated they are not going to balance diablo 3 for pvp http://www.diablofans.com/topic/26728-pvp-in-diablo-3/ they want to focus on PVE so they can release the game. As we all know even for PVE its hard to balance and the new rune/skill system should probably be the last big design change before release at least I hope. Going into PVP balance territory than I dont think the game will ever be release.

posted a message on Diablo the WoW killer ?
Diablo 3 and wow are different games. Diablo 3 is pretty much hack and slash and for very small groups max is 4 in party and it doesnt feel like a multiplayer game at all. Wow is a multiplayer game with lots of players and lots of quests and story, plus casual vs competitive pvp and ofcourse lots of dailies to do and seasonal events. Pls compare apples to apples, eg. Rift vs wow or even Swtor.. but then Swtor is really a single player game made into multiplayer imo.

posted a message on A way to award replaying from the start.
Its the best idea for repeatable plays in my opinion. Have gone through the grind diablo 2 put in and honestly most ppls use bots for these but seems people already forget this. From alot of the posts here they are still stuck in diablo 2 mentality and cant get out of it. Maybe they need to get out of the house more often, smell the roses.

posted a message on My New Rune System
Nice work, but man why u want to complicate things. When u go get a drink do u drive round your block 5 times, than climb up the tree to get upstairs before u go open your fridge to get a drink? The new changes blizzard has is fine with me. Why do u want to propose a system that forces ppls to farm for ages to get what they want?

Pls share with me did u buy all your high level runes in diablo 2? Or u dupe or got your friend to help u? After 6 months of farming what runes did u get? Did u multibox when u farm? Be honest.

posted a message on Save Basic Attack!!!
Really, if blizzard scrap basic attacks and release the game earlier... do I care if my char has basic attacks? Seriously I dont! Just release the game now and people will stop nitpicking at the smallest and unimportant detail.

To put this is better perspective, is this a game breaking thing not to have auto attacks? I think not. So please try to focus resources to get the game release earlier and not pick on stuff that really has no big impact to the game.

I sure dont want the release to be pushed back to Q3:(

posted a message on So whats the Point of Low lvl uniques if re-rolling is pointless?
    Quote from arsonal3

Maka, the only issue I have with your most recent argument is that you only "need" 5 toons as mains. The rest are delete-able, I'm hoping this is a bit more in-depth then what you were expecting. See the thing is that 5 toons gets you the maximum potential for trying stuff out. If you level 5 more, and they are different specs, no biggy. Your friend comes over and now has the game, are you seriously going to keep both of your Barbarians? I mean if they want to level up with you, you can't delete the one in greens, you know since you've hardly had time for him.

I'm sorry but your acting like deleting a toon is genocide or something. Just realize that you have one toon that can stand as a man, and work with it.

Maka, is still stuck in diablo 2 world he cant accept change for diablo 3. Best part the game is not even release and he is crying he needs more than 10 characters slots cause he is so pro that he needs to make a char that noone has.

posted a message on how is blizz planning to face inferno diff in the future
Expansions are needed for the developers to make money and survive. If the game developers go bust, u wont be able to play right.

Diablo is all about gear than skill, an for inferno its even more obvious u need gear otherwise u wont be able to survive. Its similar to diablo 2 u need gear to get to the most difficult part of the game, did u even get to uber farming in diablo 2? Where u need to farm 3 keys, than organs, than final bosses to get the hellfire charm? If u have not that u havent even touch the most challenging part of diablo 2.
