I plan on doing this with the 3 characters I have not leveld yet. Since the hellfire ring no longer has a level req, it will give me an excuse to level all 5 classes.
I might switch out Strafe for Rain of fire since it seems similar to multishot. But the build is all about damage. There is single target and aoe damage so that is all covered. Ill just pick up what ever runes I can until I get to the level needed to unlock the ones I want. Once you get level 58, rockets will be spewing out of everywhere.
Im fine with having any skill at anytime. I think that is a good change. It prevent situation likein d2 where a random super unquie monser was literally unkillable because of your skills, and that is kinda game breaking. My beef is with the linear progression and locking of certain runes up to 60.
I do like how that looks. This will take some tweaking once I start playing. Theres a few ways I want to try. Im not set on anything until I actually get to play.
Woof. I hope that is just a rumor. The more things that drop, the better. Having things just unlock takes away from the big game time. Im still not thrilled with auto stats, and this would really suck. A lot of the fun of this game is the hunt.
Im leaning toward the classic 2h bow just for the feel of the character. I like seeing big numbers and big damage. I wont be afraid to try 2 xbox though if I get lucky and come across some good ones.
A lot of tweeking will be done once I actually get to play. Ive never really liked tanking. I prefer dishing out the damage and melting faces. I think youre right with thrill of the hunt. With Fan of Knives slowing, I dont think Id need it.
It's been confirmed that Rares and Champions will have a better chance to drop better loot than bosses.
Do you guys see this as a good thing or a bad thing? Or are you indifferent about it?
I think this is a pretty good idea, as Rares and Champions will have a lower probability of being farmed then bosses, which due to their lower rate of spawn should in fact have a higher probability of better loot. This may even out in the long run, as the bosses will be downed far more then Rares and Champions would.
As for people saying people will ignore bosses, cmon, you know that is untrue. Everyone and their mom playing this game will wanna rush to the hardest act they can handle with their gear and farm it. You will progress to the next act as soon as you are able to simply because there is better loot there aswell so no one is going to stay in act 1 until lvl 50 farming the "rakanishus" of Diablo 3.
I dont think people will ignore bosses. But I think they should drop something that rares/champions cant. They are, after all, bosses. We will just have to see once the game is out.
Ill be honest, I did register today, just for the D3 beta key contest, but Ive been coming here months and never registered. I figured this was a good a time as any to register and share with the community. Also, there seems to be a lot less moaning, aching, and bitching than over at the d3 forums. Blizz's official forums are painful to read sometimes.
I think Ill enjoy something like this. Its active damage spewing instead of waiting for traps. There are close and far range skills and one escpe skill.
The only thing Im undecided on is the rune for Rain of Vengance. That looks like one of the things Ill have to play with and see what works best.

Rings/Amulets have been showing up on the PTR with higher values. Ive seen screen shots of an amulet with 91 crit damage.

I might also get rid of Rain of Vengange for Straff, get the rocket rune for straff and multi shot, and the extra rocket damage passive.
