US and EU "farmers" will be competing with "farmers" from poorer countries like in Asia or other places - this will drop the prices to almost "worthless" for US and EU players.
Yep, this is the problem. Even in a best case scenario where there are no bots or duping people in poorer countries are willing/forced to work (i.e., game) for pennies per hour. Making $0.10 / hour is a lot of money in some parts of the world.
I'm feeling D3 more than ever. But, my opinion of Bliz has changed dramatically over the past 12 months. It seems to me like they need some new blood in the management ranks and an overhaul to their development process.
I don't have a problem with all the changes. In fact I agree with almost all of them. Its just that the changes should have been implemented years ago.
Because the monk makes no sense in D3 to many Diablo fans. Diablo is about the gear grind so why in the world did Bliz choose a class that traditionally wears a diaper-looking outfit and uses no weapons? And where in the hell did this monk come from? Tokyo? Paladin would have been a much better choice than the monk. Same is true for necromancer vs. witch doctor. This will never change so the topics will never end. Accept it.
I understand concerns related to easily swapping skills. But, over the long term I think this is a good idea for two reasons:
1. It means that we are more likely to use more skills. Otherwise we will take the "best" six skills and use them over and over for months/years. Once you find the golden build you will never change.
2. It means that Bliz can create more challenging content and more variety. Allowing players to easily swap skills allows Bliz to create situations where a highly specialized build is necessary if you want to clear the content.
I hope they add some way to auto-loot gold. I don't really care what the mesh, texture, or special effects look like. I just hate running around picking up junk (but I hate leaving it behind even more).
MF/GF leechers might kill public co-ops for me. I'm sure that I'll try them out but it probably won't be my norm unless leechers are rare and skilled pugs are the norm.
But, yeah, if my friends are on then we'll be grouping.
Thanks to OP for the post. I've had the same questions for a while now.
I agree that it only makes sense for crimson runestone to affect frenzy. If it does affect all abilities then it will be nerfed to the ground after the first patch.
I'd like MF/GF to be in addition to combat stats rather than have them compete. I know that some people like the idea of having to choose between the two, but in the end this doesn't seem to work because you:
A. Never use your gear with "cool" stats because you will never have a perfect set of gear with max stats so you're always trying to get better gear.
B. End up being a leech.
Hopefully Inferno will be too challenging to make excessive MF/GF viable. That would probably be the best solution at this point.
One concern I have for end game is that we won't end up using many different offensive skills. Every build I make that includes a reasonable amount of survivability ends up with only 2-3 offensive skills.
I understand that the actual skills that I choose are likely to change once I get to inferno, but the trend of only having 2-3 offensive skills seems unlikely to change. Now I imagine myself using the same 2-3 skills over and over and over again for months and months... See the problem?
