This is my heavy pve Frenzy Berserker Barb build..
Have no clue if someone though about containing wrath of berserker, but I did as soon as I saw that skill with rune.
Frenzy - as a primary attack, pretty obvious - fast, because You need to hit as often as You can, preferably with Mighty weapons - with a weapon master passive
Seismic Slam - for crowd control and dmg (keeping waves at bay)
Ground Stomp - even more cc, plus a huge rage generator
Wrath of the Berserker - obvious choice, buffs a lot, whole build is concentrated to maintain that buff during longer fights
War Cry - helps You with keeping fighting in the first line, striking(allies will love it also) plus its also a huge rage generator
Battle Rage - another buff, synergy with ruthless passive, You should have nice crit chance bonuses, and ofcourse with chance on crit - rage generator
as mentioned - working with frienzy and battle rage :
Animosity - speaking for itself, buff for more rage generation
(in some cases You can swap Ruthless or Animosity for Berserker Rage passive)
Enjoy Diablo Fans

Not a bad idea of topic.Posted in: Hardcore Discussion
My most unforgiven memories are due to multi lightning enchanted mobs and iron maiden, pretty much this.
As for future solutions, as we are going there for the first time... (well You can always go and farm soft till You know all the things needed before hc, tho it takes time...)
First of all... I am going to play with friends, arranged party, with a proper aproach to bosses.
Proper in this case means - careful if not on farm status.
Second thing, while playing hardcore - pay more attention to deffensive skill and Your resource.
Last but not less important - positioning - may be crucial
Wish You all good luck fellow HC players

silly question, but i didn't see it in the notes. so in the previous skill/rune setup, there were 7 levels of runes to find, which powered up your runes.. with the new system, and no rune levels, it seems like the skill balance would be thrown way off. if the game was balanced for a lvl 1 rune to do "this" in normal, how will that same effect still be viable for endgame content?
You missed huge thing which was mentioned a long time ago.
Each skill is scalable through char lvl.
Because of that it was easy to drop rune lvl and keep the skill balance.
Hope that this will clear Your confusion

I am really happy with those changes, before those I was really concerned about having to find a proper rune (color + rank 7) and with a proper stats on it! BEFORE my skill works properly! - means in a way I want that skill to be, which was kinda retarded.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Now we can focus on developing skill setups without having to search for that 1 of 3000 runes (not mentioning stats).
I believe that there will be a lot of unique items which will allow huge customisation along with the skill/rune system we have atm.
Also on the sidenote... that should be last huge betapatch, should we expect release date in like 2-3 weeks at max?

Its nice that You enjoy the game, could You tell us how is server lag/stability looking like?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Dunno if any of You had experienced it.
On the side note, was close to getting in also, 6th good answer on fb question QQ

First factor is deffinitly killing mobs, with friends makes it even better.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Second and most important in long run - building a lot of diffrent chars to see how they work during first one... which leads to third one...
Gear grinding, looting and trading in order to complete gear for Your next chars.
With diablo 3 I believe that achievement hunting will join to this list
Also being the part of great and huge community.

I lost sooo many good items in Diablo II because of the lack of that feature (QQ near perfect Necro torch).
I think like majority of us (meaning d2 players) had some experience like this. I remember losing few items recently also while trying to pass em over.
Some developers are still running experiments on shared loot modification systems (see PoE for example) like timed assignement of loot etc. I see that kind a lot of ppl are going for hardcore feeling of excitement which "awaiting loot pose" brings, and are willing to take a battle for it I woudnt mind if competition brings diffrent solutions into the genreQuote from markusjayjay
My reason is the Lore. Big fan of the Diablo franscise. and ofc that the game looks awsome. love the induvidual loot consept. was a mager hate in D2.
I can also see that we have a lot of ppl coming here with nostalgia, lore hunger or pure excitement of teamplay h&s, which will be hopefuly delivered to us by Blizzard with diablo 3.

Its been talked over and over.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Its about ppl demand. While OP says in d2 he loved build consequences, the reality is that in diablo 2 You will see loads of reset tokens in use, so we know ppl are using those to respec anyway, and it doesnt affect the replayability.
Diablo's replayability comes with loot, trading, making new chars (not 10 versions of the same class, but diffrent classes).
I really enjoy that this is going to be a bit diffrent with d3
