So the build I made is specifically an AoE (Area of Effect) Frost Wizard build. I already have an AoE Blizz Sorc on Diablo II so I know a thing or two about them. Mostly every skill is all Cold Damage based, as a Frost Wizard should be. To be honest, most of the skill are high-level, as they should be. I had to decide between Teleport and Frost Nova. I chose Teleport due to the fact that an AoE offensive player should not be in the fray, so when the going gets tough, just teleport out of there. Also Teleport is very useful in general, what would a Wizard be without Teleport, right? I chose Ice Armor because of the Chilling Aura rune as well as the skill itself. Both the rune and skill itself chills the attacker, put that together with the passive 'Black Ice' and you've got quite a skill on your hands. I chose Meteor with the Comet Rune because it turns the meteor into ice and leaves an AoE effect in the end. Blizzard is of course Self-Explanatory.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I heard someone doing commentaries on D3 explaining his theory on why they made the skill tree like this.Posted in: Theorycrafting and Analysis
He said that people nowadays spend money, real money, on games like no tomorrow. Like how they spend real money on items and for gold exchange. You would also spend money on things like skill reset and to buy peoples' characters. He said that in order for Blizzard to stop that, they made the skill tree like this. So if you wanted to be a Fire Wizard, then a Frost Wizard, you wouldn't have to spend money on a skill reset or try to buy another person's character. Instead you would just go right into changing your skill hotkeys. That's just his theory and my interpretation of it. I personally agree with it, it makes the game more fun and "diverse" in a way.
He explained it in this video, it's pretty long but he explained it somewhere toward the middle.

I seriously hate all this wait, also with them teasing and pricking us with the beta! ):Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
They themselves said an early 2012 release. The latest I would say an early 2012 release is by April but I am definitely hoping for a March release.

I like how they have these modes. Compared to D2, where it was all spastic, D3 will be fun to watch. There will probably be tournaments too, which I highly look forward. Also I think that PvPs will last longer due to that super quick regen rate, unless they change that for PvP.Posted in: PvP Discussion

This is basically a skill calculation I made for my friend because he and a couple others including myself want to play D3. He isn't must of a RPG person so he didn't know how to build his character so I made it for him. This is the simplest I can make a healer Monk. I know that instead of Mantra of Conviction, I could have done Mantra of Healing but I personally don't think a person needs more than 3 healing skills.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
I gave him Inner Sanctuary with the Indigo stone because it's for the person who can't really micro or do many things at once. So I gave him that skill so he can protect himself and heal others with time. I also gave him some offensive moves so he won't get sick of Monk. Crippling Wave is mainly so he can knockback anything that comes up in his face. The passive skills are mainly for protection.

I would most likely stick with one character. Who knows when they will do character wipes for beta? So if/when they do do a wipe, I can start anew with another character.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
